hi all, can anybody tell me how to change the icon in a .exe file please? i tried using res hacker to edit zsnes.exe and replaced the icons, but the .exe stopped working, surely there must be a way to do this. can anyone help please? thanks
never tried this myself so not 100% on this, but what would happen if you installed netbios over tcp/ip on both machines and used that as the protocol over which to communicate? would this help matters? my reason for saying this is can see win xp being backwards compatible with 98 but cant see win 98 being very "forwards compatible" with XP . if that makes any sense lol
i would try the following: 1) drivers like u said 2) make sure there is no encryption on the WAP until u can definatly connect to it 3) give yourself a static IP in the same range also i had this wierd problem once where i couldnt connect to a WAP and found that if i opened the TCP/IP properties of the wireless connection and simply looked through all the tabs and pages and settings etc it connected... there was no way to explain this but it worked so maybe give that a go? possibl it was a bug with he WAP hope you get this sorted, i know how **** frustrating wireless can be lol
hello all, can anyone tell me is it possible to run a file such as .exe in low priority from within a .vbs script? (or indeed in any priority that i wish) thank you
i didnt ask this question for any reason at all, i just wanted to further my understanding so thank you everyone that has offered help and thanks for the link to the rfc, cant believe i didnt think to just read that in the first place lol thanks
oh so its more of a server side thing? i guess the DHCP server checks the MAC address of the computer requesting a lease, see's that its previously had 192.168.1.5 for example and then re offers it to the client machine would i be right in saying this?
thank you so if i i restart the machine the registry is checked and if there is an IP in there that was previously leased the machine will re-request that IP unless it has expired of course thanks sonic
exactly, i always run as the administrator and have a password on it that is 14 characters long and contains numbers, letters (upper and lowercase) and special characters so its not as if its a security threat. so why would it be a problem?
hi all i have a question i wonder if anyone can help me when a client machine has received the DHCP Acknowledgement from a dhcp server and initializes the ip address it is offered, where is this data stored? there must be a cache either in memory or on disk or something. please can anyone tell me where it is stored? im curious about this many thanks
on mine i have the guest account and the admin account both on with passwords, mine always gives me a choice between the 2 accounts at the logon screen, is this what you want?
