Maybe you installed something else [?] around the time you also installed 98SE2ME. HTH you right it wasn't 98SE2ME it was a corrupted dll file SORRY about that.

When i install Win98SE with my bootdisk it creates a ramdrive could this be the problem why UMBPCI won't install?
