  1. You need to learn how to search. http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications...wsmessenger.htm http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...839&hl=Ad-Aware http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/gobac...de=&svy=&csm=no Search Next time.
  2. Office 2003 requires an NT kernel. You will NOT be able to run it on a 9x system.
  3. um... I saw no mention of a program. and you didn't search very well. Infact, there is an entire forum just below the Unattend forum dealing with multiboots.
  4. the UDF file is not meant for product keys, but primarily to have each computer have a seperate name. What you could do, is install them all with one key, and run sysprep on it. Or, after install, Windows XP has a way to change the product, and you could create a script to read in the computername and have it check against a listing of names and then change the key accordingly. Instructions for script: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...-us%3BQ328874#3
  5. after thinking through it a bit more.... disassemble the BIN file, change the strange, make sure the syntax is correct, recompile. There ya go. The blanks afterwords could be where the actual boot code is, so you'll have to disassemle to find out, which is why when HEXing everything needs to be the same size, so as not to overwrite the actual code.
  6. the point of hex editing a file, is that the new information MUST be the same as the old. This is NOT stored as a resource string, so you can't edit it that way. One way to edit it is to use CDShell to make your own. Besides that, the string HAS TO BE THE SAME!
  7. now, with the next page idea, you're assuming it's all gonna be step by step
  8. you can use the same file exactly as is, for W2k. they use the same bootimage.
  9. well, after the updates and such....I'll see about whipping up a new design and see if xper approves. I'll even see if my friend the graphic artist wants to pay back a favor
  10. BAH!! Mentioning that name on a Microsoft website.... lol. Surely you keep the core of IE?
  11. http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications/powertoys.htm Read before Posting. Then Search. THEN AFTER READING EVERYTHING AGAIN, post. The link you need is on that page.
  12. I bet to differ.... As for the printablility, man you like them things offline don't ya?
  13. you spelled reduction wrong
  14. TaskBarXP should do it for the My Computer. Search the registry.. But you need to import it prior to user logon.
  15. is Administrators the way you spell it in your language version of Windows?
  16. I have the ability to compile the HTML into an EXE for download. It uses the IE engine so it should display correctly, and you can't decompile to obtain sources. Oh, and I CAN'T change the shape of the site, the images, menus, or arrangement of the general site. I move pages around, expand the menus, rearrange the content of menus and pages, but the general layout/template of the site must stay the same.
  17. indeed. You're HEX editing the file...so that means the strings HAVE TO BE THE SAME LENGTH. If your's is shorter, add space, if it's larger...you have to make it smaller.
  18. Keep in mind, these are NOT RunOnceEX switches, but rather switches that belong to their respective programs.
  19. titou2k is right on the money. Keep in mind that the text has to be of the same length. I use CDShell, so I have a custom message through that.
  20. are you asking for an easy way to install the hotfixes on systems that have already been installed? Then you would just need a batch script.

    xplode in Win99

just because I bet you haven't tried it....did you even TRY to run XPlode on Win98? I'm betting the answer to both yours and my question is no. If memory serves, XPlode is Unicode based right? That alone should require an NT kernel, and I believe Win98 is ASCII based.
  22. alrighty....I screwed up..... I left the Winamp MSI files on the computer at home, and now I'm back to my dorm. I won't be home till Friday.... guess that's one less distraction for me though Sorry.
  23. The INI file is the same.... I was thinking of moving it to XML seeing as the new InstallShield 10.5 supports it, but decided not to. But I do believe I might have a way to avoid that NAV message if you install NAV before the MSI. Depends if I have time to implement it. I just got my final today and it's due Thursday at 9am, so I don't plan to do much more to the MSI prior to it's release untill after Thursday (bugfixes and the work around for NAV).
  24. I enjoyed HL2 better then Halo 2. It was also longer. I beat Halo 2 in less then 15 hours of game play, and I was stopping every few levels because I was getting bored. HL2 kept me in the seat, and only stopped when there was a Halo Tournament downstairs or I had to sleep or get to class....
