  1. i did a real system test today, and for some reason teh first two instances didn't stop, but the third one did (installing all the applications)... I'll try to rereate it later today (reformating, wrong drivers loaded)
  2. merged.... very stupid reason I should point out, your XML is incompatible with XPlode (the new version) Most people who DO use AutoPatcher don't use XPlode. Those that do, use the original EXE as then they don't have to download the individual hotfixes. Thanks for the contribution though.
  3. my guess would be similar to Win98's....and there is a guide for that at flyakite.msfnhosting.com as for the boot discs...there is a way. I forget the specifics at the moment. I believe http://bootcd.narod.ru/ tells you how....
  4. hotfix wise....XPCREATE would take alot of the hassle out of it. It downloads the correct fixes for you...
  5. Thanks for the contribution, but any reason you didn't post your update in your other thread on this topic?
  6. you don't need samples. and the modules....depends on what you're doing. refer to the CDShell documentation, and it tells you what commands go to what module. If you don't use any commands in a module, delete it. as for fonts, good question.
  7. I'm quite fond of that reason myself. Oh well, guess no conditional statements. lol.
  8. yes, conditional statements.... one request not implemented Hopefully in the new version.
  9. No offense, but I don't see how I'm wrong. I said the name of the hotfix shouldn't have a difference, refering to the Q rather then KB. The type of hotfix however does matter. Second, it does work. I did it along time ago, but then I didn't keep including it as I never used it. Perhaps post a screenshot of the window?
  10. the name of the hotfix should have no reason for the switches not to work. My only guess is that you're doing something wrong. Sorry...
  11. sounds good. You would get the appearance of what I was talkinga bout before...... CD Burning Apps Nero ITEM 1 ITEM 2 Alcohol 2 Microsoft Office 2003 Professional Image Viewer ACDSee IrfanView but by coding it CD Burning Apps Nero ITEM 1 ITEM 2 Alcohol 2 Microsoft applications Microsoft Office 2003 Professional Image Viewer ACDSee IrfanView and hiding Microsoft Office 2003 Professional in the latter, and it will look like the first. Sounds good.
  12. I consider it more of a car dealer selling me a car. If he's trying to sell me a Mazda, he isn't going to tell me how great a Toyota or a Nissan are. Or vice versa. He wants to sell me the Mazda. But as stated before, the AVERAGE END USER won't have a clue what you're talking about You just have to impress them with all teh features and demonstrate as best as you can.
  13. Good idea especially with my Nero example earlier. If i unselect Nero (the tree anyways) i wouldn't want the unregister commands to be executed. What if you had TREE SUBTREE 1 ITEM 1 ITEM 2 SUBTREE 2 TREE2 TREE3 SUBTREE 1 SUBTREE 2 ITEM1 and Item 1 and Item 2 of SUBTREE1 were hidden, would Subtree1 still be visible? In the current version, i don't think it would be....but say you were to use the NET USER command to create user (jsut hypothesizing) and you created and then added, you wouldn't want them showing, just a "Create User" as the SUBTREE1 title, and if checked, it will create the user. Hope that made sense
  14. Sounds fine for me..... But what about someone's request further up about not having a tree at all? Like Subtree2 would be, but without the parent tre... TREE SUBTREE 1 ITEM 1 ITEM 2 SUBTREE 2 TREE2 TREE3 SUBTREE 1 SUBTREE 2 ITEM1 and Tree2 is the only command in the tree, but it doesn't get it's own tree...so an example in practice... CD Burning Apps Nero ITEM 1 ITEM 2 Alcohol 2 Microsoft Office 2003 Professional Image Viewer ACDSee IrfanView
  15. Well, when I install.... I have 5 commands to install Nero. 1 installs nero 4 unregister some of it's files (Vid codecs) so I use hide.x to not allow the deselection of the 4 unregisters. Or killing a task, don't want people to not kill the task when it has to be killed. If removed, maybe something to replace that function?
  16. Windows 98 running extremely fast on a 3.2 ghz P4. Trust me.....wow. But it's those darn older games that got their speed from the processor clock. The faster the processor the faster teh game.... CPUKiller is a good proggie for that. But what most people don't understand about Windows 98, when XP has truly become mainstream, Windows 98 may still be vulnerable, but it won't be exploited nearly as much.
  17. alot of people don't know this, but usually the results point to the thread, you can change it so it goes directly to the post the result is actually in. But i think changing th default time and a "How-To" should be in order.
  18. allllriighty then... Thanks Now to wait 2 hours till I can touch my comptuer again.....blasted work Edit I think we've both been doing it I'll edit, then you edit, then I edit..... In the end, we type too fast
  19. wow, reading through the last few posts, which link is it fixed in? i see... but then I see... Is it fixed in the alpha that you don't want us to use in our actual installs? or the link on the site? Just curious, so I can get the right file EDIT:: Does anyone else hate it when you're posting something and then someone edit's their posts while you're typing? And then you review, and there it is. EDIT2:: Looking at your page again, also the date didn't change. The bug fix number did. I think I have 7 or something (atleast, last number I saw on the page)
  20. Which upload? did you upload it as a zip file to your site? The latest non-alpha i have says it was modified at about 10pm....
  21. if you want the Explorer methodology going, yes double click should close a tree. Any ideas on the having to actually clicking Install during an /AutoInstall? or is that on the list of things to do?
  22. fixed em for ya. Back to the topic in general.... Why is everyone giving him advice like he was buing the thing? This one is better because, this one is better here. He said he wanted ways to demonstrate that it was better, not reasons why it was better.
  23. check flyakite's website flyakite.msfnhosting.com the reason the APM file can't be open is because it's compiled. It'd be like opening a C++ compiled program in a C++ editor and expecting to see teh source code. As for Autorun's.... the easiest thing I've found is to make a webpage and compile it to an EXE.
  24. I personally hopes he releases a new version today Good to see someone returns to the thread
