    boot is fine (12s to boot and fully booted in 25s). Check your Western Digital Caviar Black for errors (chkdsk /F and SMART values).

    the tool has an issue, when you start it the first time. It fails to read the required config values and displays an unhandled exception.

    the board has 3 different controllers (in chipset, JMiron and Marvel). Try all ports/controllers and look if this makes a difference.

    to which ports do you connect the HDD? Is this a port from the chipset or a extra SATA chip ?

    starting the Western Digital WD VelociRaptor WD3000HLFS takes a lot of time. Next reading the NTFS meta data is slow. Connect the HDD to a different port and make sure you use AHCI.

    don't open the kernel.etl. Open the DPC_interrupt.etl. Also enable the stack column and load the debug symbols.

    in the new version, new Windows now have automatically Glass without a delay. Cool !!!

    have you tried ThrottleStop, NoteBook FanControl (NBFC) or Speedfan to change the CPU cooler fan? http://www.computerbase.de/forum/showthread.php?t=1070494 Play a bit with the tools and define the the speedlevel yourself.

    I can't see any spikes: delays till 512µs should not cause sound issues.

    I have no idea, because I never use USB network devices.

    but make sure you don't use the new fastStartup from Win8. This can can data corruption on dual boot.
