the storport.sys driver causes the glithces: Total = 110825 for module storport.sys Elapsed Time, > 131072 usecs AND <= 262144 usecs, 0, or 0.00% Elapsed Time, > 262144 usecs AND <= 524288 usecs, 6, or 0.01% Total, 110825 read here what this driver is: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff567541%28v=vs.85%29.aspx When I look at the spike, I can see that your Marvel driver (mvs91xx.sys for Marvell 91xx SATA 6G Controller) causes it: update the driver and try to sue the SATA port of your Intel chipset instead.

the log is incomplete. It only completes the 2 temporary files. Have you interrupted the shutdown?

you have to add the 0.1% of Win8 on touch devices (x86 tablets, AIO PCs with touch) and the 0.02% for RT.
-
Win8 now has giant 2.79% market share http://netmarketshare.com/operating-system-market-share.aspx?qprid=10&qpcustomd=0 A disaster when you compare it to Win7. But the MS propaganda still want to tell everyone that Win8 sells better compared to Win7

upload the ETL file (compressed as zip)

WinLogonInit can be GPOs or connecting a network drive.

Trace why Windows 8 boots, shutsdown or hibernates slowly
MagicAndre1981 replied to MagicAndre1981's topic in Windows 8
yor NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M maybe the cause. There is a topic on Technet where users also have large CONFIG folder: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w8itprogeneral/thread/6efbf453-aec3-4cfc-b6e0-de9dc5e6a99c A solution is to stop the "NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D Driver" service.- 370 replies

ok. checking the registry causes the high CPU usage of the Kernel (SYSTEM) and this causes the long boot delay: Run this: xbootmgr -trace boot -traceFlags BASE+CSWITCH+POWER+REGISTRY -stackwalk RegQueryKey+RegEnumerateKey+RegCreateKey+RegOpenKey+RegCloseKey to capture registry data.- 370 replies

ok, you must make a new trace with this command: xbootmgr -trace boot -traceFlags BASE+CSWITCH+POWER+profile -stackwalk profile this also captures CPU sampling data so that I can see more details.- 370 replies
