Update the original BIOS BiosVersion = 0401 BiosReleaseDate = 03/04/2010 BaseBoardManufacturer = ASUSTeK Computer INC. BaseBoardProduct = P7H55-M BaseBoardVersion = Rev X.0x to Version 1604 which includes some fixes like this: Check if you still get issues. If yes, please enable Driver verifier to get the causing driver: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/101379-driver-verifier-enable-disable.html http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=244617 when you get a new BSOD, boot to safe mode, disable driver verifier, reboot to normal mode and upload the newest dmp file from the folder C:\Windows\Minidump.
  2. the wlanext.exe causes the delay. Do you use the latest driver for your Karta DW1520 Wireless-N WLAN card? Is your WLAN connect fine?
  3. please uninstall DAEMON Tools Lite. The driver used by this tool is shown an UNKNOWN and hides the real cause. Upload the new etl trace.
  4. please run those 2 commands: xperf -start perf!GeneralProfiles.InSequentialFile wait some times and run xperf -stop perf!GeneralProfiles.InSequentialFile Perftrace.etl zip and upload the PerfTrace.etl. This trace includes more data.
  5. to see why the programs start slowly run those commands: xperf -start perf!GeneralProfiles.InSequentialFile do the slow actions and run xperf -stop perf!GeneralProfiles.InSequentialFile Perftrace.etl zip and upload the Perftrace.etl
  6. I have never seen this. Start a new topic in the Windows 7 forums and ask why so many items show up on your Windows.
  7. download this update: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=3de148ce-5acb-4edd-8e9a-d1bb903e9823 and install it. If you can repro the 100% CPU usage, make a new trace, please which captures this 100% cpu usage.
  8. I can see that the EHCI_Get32BitFrameNumber function from the USBEHCI.sys causes some CPU usage. Your Version is the Windows 7 RTM Version: "USBEHCI.sys", "6.1.7600.16385 (win7_rtm.090713-1255)" but you use the Windows 7 Sp1. You run into this issue: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2529073/en-us Please check Windows Update and install this missing update. The hugest spikes are only 512 µsecs and they happen only rarely. So you should see no delays or other sound issues.
  9. run the xperf commands upload the zipped ETL file
  10. I doubt that this will cause cpu usage. can you share a new trace?
  11. have you updated the sound drivers? upload the latest trace file, please.
  12. correct. Looks like you downloaded the same file twice.
  13. follow this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd755995%28WS.10%29.aspx or use some of the offered tools in this forum.
  14. @cluberti can you look at the trace of hottroc?
  15. No sorry, I'm an AMD user. So I have no ideas about good Intel boards. Ask it in the Hardware forums: http://www.msfn.org/board/forum/5-hardware-hangout/
  16. try this: http://keepass.info/
  17. yes it is correct. The iaStor.sys drivers allocates some memory (kernel pool memory) and this causes the CPU usage. This driver belongs to the Intel Storage drivers. Do you have the latest drivers installed? Have you tried to connect the HDDs to the SATA6GB Ports?
  18. You're welcome. I hope you like msfn.
  19. use this tool: to download the updates with the ulz file.
  20. make a full boot trac and upload the zipped trace to mediafire.com. I look at the trace to see more details.
  21. can you upload the trace file, please (zip it and upload it to mediafire.com)?
  22. go to the temp folder and copy both files to the desktop, zip them and upload the ZIP.
  23. the same rules apply like on a normal Windows. The security settings still work and modifying the system files requires that you have the required permissions. So take ownership if you want to edit them.
  24. I can't figure out what is causing the hibernation/sleep issue. Suspending and resuming the devices/apps is fine
