  1. New test release is in the wild
  2. You stumbled upon a serious bug here. That section is supposed to take into account different scenarios but it looks like I missed one. I'm working on a fix right now. That line is OK, though it could use a minor speed improvement.
  3. Well... I'll need FULLSRC.TXT and every NSF*.TXT file if possible.
  4. That's correct. Before I make a special version to collect some temporary files, could you do the test with all hotfixes again but with any anti-virus or script blockers you may have running disabled?
  5. Yes, that's fine. The problem definitely lies with HFSLIPWU.INF; it is incomplete. Can you do two tests? Test 1: 1) Run HFSLIP with ONLY WindowsUpdateAgent20-x86.exe in HF 2) Afterwards, open HFSLIPWU.INF from SOURCESS\I386 and search for occurances of "regsvr32" Test 2: 1) Run HFSLIP with all hotfixes EXCEPT WindowsUpdateAgent20-x86.exe 2) Afterwards, open HFSLIPWU.INF from SOURCESS\I386 and search for occurances of "regsvr32" Do you get results for "regsvr32"? (Y/N)
  6. That seems OK to me. Besides corrupt hotfixes (did you redownload the ones you left out at one point?), I can only think of something causing HFSLIPWU.INF to not execute properly. This file registers the necessary WUA20 files among other things. I forgot to ask: can you add a copy of HFSLIPWU.INF from SOURCESS\I386? You can remove the previous attachment -- I no longer need it.
  7. Please check your settings in Roxio. In Nero, there's a checkbox for "Allow path depth of more than 8 directories" which is checked by default. If there's something similar in Roxio, make sure that it's checked as well.
  8. Can I have a look at these files? PRODSPEC.INI from SOURCE\I386 AU.IN_ from SOURCE\I386 AU.IN_ from SOURCESS\I386 SYSOC.IN_ from SOURCESS\I386 TXTSETUP.SIF from SOURCESS\I386
  9. That isn't possible, I'm afraid. HFSLIP assumes a clean source. Do you have HFSLIP change the default handling of IE7 by modifying HFANSWER.INI? Concerning your XPize question... Did you set the appropriate switch in HFANSWER.INI?
  10. It may have been installed as part of another program (home banking, etc) or after visiting a "malicious" site. Even if the relevant files were on your new source CD, it wouldn't make sense that they suddenly got installed without having the CD inserted...
  11. I just did a few tests on different computers and all's fine. Make sure that neither of those files you left out is corrupt. What's the timestamp for WindowsUpdateAgent20-x86.exe (right-click > Properties > Digital Signatures)?
  12. It could be a broken source but it could also be a changed setting in Roxio.
  13. What if you put that older version of makecab.exe in the HFSLIP working folder alongside the main script file?
  14. Tomcat76

When do you get that message? While running HFSLIP or while installing from an HFSLIPped source?
  15. I removed most of the /ON switches not so long ago thinking that a system always defaults to sorting things alphabetically. Guess not. The latest test release uses the /ON switch in some sections again. You can try that....
  16. Heh... What was I thinking?
  17. Have you tried redownloading IE7-KB928090?
  18. I was thinking that maybe the Realtek drivers install an older version of the hhctrl.ocx file. I'll need a computer with a Realtek chip before I can say more on this...
  19. That's strange. There are more folders with the same path depth in the Windows installation source. Also, if you include the standard set of hotfixes, I386\ASMS\52\msft\windows\net\dxmrtp\dxmrtp.cat is not touched. Does the same thing happen when you tell Roxio to take the SOURCE folder instead of the SOURCESS folder?
  20. There's nothing unusual about KB935843 so it should be supported. It's a standard hotfix.
  21. I suppose you meant spaces. My 2K work folder is named "hfslip2ken" and that works fine. Try the latest test release. It should work around the problem if spaces were the issue.
  22. The file in KB935448 has a newer date on it (April 2nd vs Jan 23rd) so HFSLIP should pick up the one you want. It isn't doing that? HFSLIP makes Windows setup install the [Product.Add.Reg] section. I don't see any other registry additions.I just tested this in a VM and everything seems to be fine. Windows Update is not complaining and all registry entries are correct. Glentium -- Do you have a Realtek High Definition chip?
  23. Isn't that nice...
  24. Do you know how to check the version of hhctrl.ocx in your SOURCESS folder?
  25. I'll need to test this again though it worked last time I tried. I'm not sure if there's a way to fix it without reinstalling Windows. Can I have a look at WindowsUpdate.log from the WINDOWS folder?
