  1. Do you have "Mostrar escritorio.scf" in "Documents and Settings\Default User\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch"?
  2. I'm sleepwalking.

    Sunday Poll

Hey FDV... Can you insert "None of the above" or something like that in the second poll? I get an error message as soon as I click "Vote"...
  4. I'll discuss with TommyP if this will be supported or not. I think it's OK because it's part of the installation CD. If you want to slipstream it now, follow these steps: 1) create a subfolder named "_EXTERNAL" in your HFSLIP working folder and place KB838079 in there 2) download HFSLIP_PRE_KB838079.zip and extract it into HFTOOLS With that done, run HFSLIP like normal.
  5. OK. Remove ShowDesktop.cmd from HFSVCPACK and try rc7. Hopefully that does it...
  6. KB934238 is not supported. I've explained this to johndoe74 here. I'll need to check why KB925720 doesn't work. The INF file you attached looks fine (at least after downloading it). Do you have a "Default User" folder in Documents and Settings?
  7. And we haven't fixed your network-install problem yet... You're welcome
  8. I see you have ShowDesktop.cmd in HFSVCPACK. What's in it? Maybe it's conflicting with what HFSLIP is doing now. Also, to be sure, can you ZIP HFSLIPSD.INF and attach the ZIP here?
  9. Actually, WU is not the problem. Because the files in the cabs were given the current date, the files in the hotfixes were considered older and thus not slipstreamed. I haven't planned any more updates for 1.5.0 so it's just bug-fixing. If nothing goes wrong, it will be released this weekend. Ultimate deadline is the weekend before Patch Tuesday.
  10. 7 more minutes, then...
  11. Wow... Fast computer...
  12. KB887606 is for 2K/XP/2K3. It's not really a problem because HFSLIP only takes the resource file out of msxml2.msi if KB887606 is slipstreamed as well, but I'll remove msxml2.msi from my lists anyway. Thanks
  13. That's better. It should work now. I'll release rc6 once you tell me WU is happy again...
  14. Yes; from the Win2000 source. Don't install -- just check the file dates.
  15. What if you extract makecab.exe from SOURCE\I386\MAKECAB.EX_ into your main HFSLIP folder? Remove the 3 cab files created by HFSLIP and then run HFSLIP. Does the date of the files in the new cab files get changed to 2007 then too? If this fixes your problem, I'll change the code so the 3 cabs are only created if makecab.exe is present in the main HFSLIP folder. Edit: Or better: I'll have HFSLIP extract it automatically (and delete it afterwards).
  16. That's the problem. What's your host OS?
  17. That looks like the rollup is present. I mainly wanted to check if the IE6 section is called at the right time and that appears to be the case. These should not have been copied over from _IE6b_HFSLIP.CAB: cryptdlg.dll dhtmled.ocx msconv97.dll msxml3.dll msxml3r.dll Did the time stamp change on the files inside _IE6b_HFSLIP.CAB to 2007? Do you also get "13 files copied" when using the original IE6 cabs? Here is an HFSLIP version which compares the content of the temporary folder where I386 binaries are stored before and after handling IE6, and outputs the difference. Can you try this?
  18. This web page allows you to download all Win2K/IE6 cabs needed for HFSLIP in all languages. It's only the first draft so comments are welcome. Download Win2K/IE6 cab files
  19. Here's another one. It creates a txt file in the HFSLIP working folder right before IE6 is handled. Hopefully that can show more...
  20. "13 files copied" refers to the files from IE6EXP2. The other files (those with the full path) are moved over but the MOVE command doesn't display how many there were. What I wonder about is why all 13 files are copied from IE6EXP2. It's almost like you aren't slipstreaming the Post-SP4 update rollup...
  21. Those files look good. I also downloaded the Spanish IE6 SP1 cabs earlier and there's nothing special about them. Here's a test version which inserts two pauses in the IE6 slipstreaming code and some extra output. Do you see any problems?
  22. You have it attached to the first post and it looks OK. What is the date shown for cdaudio.sys and cinemst2.sys in DRIVER.CAB?
  23. Moving them into WORK or TEMP is useless because then they are created for nothing. They are only used in the next run, not in the run that makes them. I've inspected the code top to bottom and bottom to top and it's water tight. @XibaD: How big are the new cabs? How many files exist in each? Do you see any error messages while HFSLIP uses the new cabs?
  24. I searched the entire 70525a and the latest internal build for instances of "HFSVCPACK_SW2". The only line I could find which copies files into HFSVCPACK_SW2 is for executables coming from a still-existing HFSVCPACK_SW folder. There is still one other possibility. You use the "alternate input folder" feature and the HFSVCPACK_SW folder in that alternate location contained Type 1 hotfixes. Other than that, it's just impossible...
  25. The test releases never moved files from HF into HFSVCPACK_SW2... ::confused:: They do automatically move executables from an existing HFSVCPACK_SW folder into HFSVCPACK_SW2. Both folders are for Type 2 hotfixes (as far as executables are concerned) so that shouldn't be an issue.
