  1. I tried slipstreaming just IE7 and it's updates and everything went fine. I'm tediously excluding some hotfixes to check which one conflicts with kb931768 slisptreaming.
  2. Well, it's really quite annoying to use the computer with the DOS windows flashing and everything.. So, I think we should leave the computer alone while HFSLIP is running.. after all, it's in the instruction
  3. ok, here it is: IEACCESS.IN_.TXT
  4. I got those errors during about T-25. It can be ignored but during first GUI boot it will appear again. I slipstream IE7 btw.
  5. We all know it's the replacement for KB928090, but it seems it's not yet supported by HFSLIP.. I'm having "ie4uinit.exe error with advpack.dll" something... am using HFSLIP 1.4.4 HFSLIP.LOG.TXT
  6. if you are able to create a ramdisk big enough to accomodate the whole HFSLIP directory with it SOURCE and resulting SOURCESS (and ISO file), then you can run the whole HFSLIP process in the ramdisk. but to be able to have, say, 3GB of ramdisk space, you need to have 4GB of physical memory, which is not possible in your 32bit processor. (max for 32bit is 3GB)
  7. thanks Tomcat! very much appreciated
  8. I'm still clueless as to why WU is complaining about this. Tried installing KB935448 through SVCPACK method (all others are HFSLIPed) and, as should be expected, no complains from WU. checked the installed hhctrl.ocx with the installed one if HFSLIPed, and they are exactly the same. Maybe I can safely ignore WU as I'm sure I have the correct hhctrl.ocx and I do have the latest Realtek drivers (1.65) which is not affected by the problem as mentioned in the KB article...
  9. It is supposed to process installers in HFSVCPACK alphabetically (as it is the default behavior of DIR command used in the batch file), but apparently not doing it in some cases as experienced by the OP. maybe the DIRCMD environment variable of the machine is set to other sorting methods. Tomcat, what if you explicitly specify the sort order in the section that processes the switchless installers? You're specifying the DIR switch "/ON" on some other sections... this would just ensure that it would behave the way we want it, that is alphabetically whether DIRCMD environment variable has been set or not: --------------- IF EXIST "%ALTSRCDIRS%HFSVCPACK\*.EXE" ( TITLE %T1% - Processing switchless EXE files&ECHO.&ECHO Processing switchless EXE files... FOR /F "DELIMS=" %%I IN ('DIR/B/ON "%ALTSRCDIRS%HFSVCPACK\*.EXE"') DO ( ECHO %%I&ECHO>>SOURCESS\I386\SVCPACK\HFSLIP.CMD START/WAIT %%HFSLIP%%\SVCPACK\%%I COPY/Y "%ALTSRCDIRS%HFSVCPACK\%%I" SOURCESS\I386\SVCPACK >NUL ) --------------- just a suggestion though...
  10. I checked the hhctrl.ocx installed in SYSTEM32 and DLLCACHE, both are version 5.2.3790.2847, Realtek drivers does not even contain hhctrl.ocx file, though i am not 100% sure as i can't extract data1.cab and data2.cab included in the Realtek driver package.
  11. Yup, I do have a Realtek HDA... edit: thought it might help but even with the latest Realtek HDA Drivers, WU still complains about 935448...
  12. I checked the version of hhctrl.ocx in my SOURCESS folder by expanding it, it's 5.2.3790.2847 which should be correct, according here: KB935448. yet, WU is complaining that I need that update.
  13. Using the latest stable, 1.4.2 attached is my HFSLIP.LOG assistance is much appreciated! HFSLIPLOG.zip
  14. i am not sure if i understand correctly what you want but you can try this: Make a reg file with the following, and run at T-12 using CMDLINES [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "DefaultUserName"="USERNAME_OF_THE_USER_YOU_CREATED" "DefaultPassword"="PASSWORD" "AutoAdminLogon"="1" "AutoLogonCount"=dword:00000005 "ShowLogonOptions"=dword:00000001 "AllowMultipleTSSessions"=dword:00000000 "LogonType"=dword:00000000 "Background"=- hope it helps!
  15. any link for 916199 please? thanks!
  16. Please note that if your HDD contains multiple partitions, the above entries in WINNT.SIF would also delete all partitions and make your first HDD into one single partition...
  17. no issue with me in the latest test release and stable... great job, tomcat76 and tommyp!
  18. hi S3pHiroTh! i'm not sure if this is what you meant ... but this could be a little relevant: HFSLIP in Add/Remove Programs? I have read the topic, but there isn't a safe way to delete that entry (the entry in list of installed programs is easy to delete, but not the one that I mean). I have seen that if I edit SYSOC.INF, there should be some problems. May we know why you would want to remove that?
  19. "Show Desktop" icon shows on my Quick Launch toolbar. Am running from a 70220a run. XPSP2 English.
  20. @Tomcat, that could be it. I forgot to delete those IE6 updates... Thanks! EDIT/UPDATE: Thanks, everything is okay now. IE7 is now slipstreamed. Am I correct in saying that HFSLIP is the first utility to "properly" slipstream IE7. I tried nLite, exclusively for IE7, but it's giving me Windows File Protection errors, so I went back to installing IE7 as the last routine in my RunOnceEx and the hotfixes at the next restart (using AutoIt). But now, life is much easier with HFSLIP. Job well done!
  21. Okay, I didn't notice it is not in Tomcat's dynamic list.. Thanks!
  22. IE7 does not seem to slipstream properly... I can't run IE after setup, even after another restart. HFSLIP.log, setuperr.log and screenshot of error dialog box included in attachment. IE7Errors.zip
  23. Tomcat, since this is no longer sticky, can you please add an icon for this thread so it would be easier to locate? -thanks!
  24. HFSLIP Test Releases now slipstreams IE7 and IE7 hotfixes.... HFSLIP
