  1. Because in the world there are also versions having it inside? Kind Regards Why would you use them when all of the cited service packs are freely downloaded? Why use an older version (or in the case of XP SP1a, the version with the exact component you want removed out of it)?
  2. Those are just upgrades. You can't install them without first installing the drivers from the CD (go ahead, try it).

  4. Look who just got on Warp2Search http://www.warp2search.net/modules.php?nam...ticle&sid=18142

  6. People are getting similar BSODs with other controllers, so there has to be something I'm missing.
  7. Neither SP1a nor SP2 contain the MSJVM. Neither does Win2K SP4 or Win2K3. Why would he need to?
  8. You'll probably only be able to delete those by disabling WFP and deleting them via a batch script.
  9. Try it and let us know
  10. I get you now . I'll take another look at the drivers tonight to make sure I didn't miss something when I put the pack together. It sounds like the file's not being copied over like it's supposed to, and that's the problem.
  11. Doesn't gosh's reducing source remove dosnet.inf, winnt32.exe, and all the other related files?
  12. The SP2 updates are express installers, not full installers.
  13. I'm making the critical assumption that things still work the way they did in the early builds of nLite (the last ones I used), but you don't HAVE to create an ISO. You can stop before that stop.
  14. SEARCH FUNCTION. THIS HAS BEEN COVERED NUMEROUS TIMES IN THIS THREAD AND IN MANY OTHER THREADS. (assuming you're talking about the Indeo codec files )
  15. The core drivers are only about 45MB. They compress with WinRAR to about 9MB.
  16. Wait a sec - you're ABLE to use F6 OK during your unattended install?
  17. You're sure you're copying the needed files to the i386 directory? Do try and see if you can get it to work sans any other RAID drivers (using the method on GM's site), so at least we'll know if it's a driver bug or a bug in my archive.
  18. The ISA bus is supported. As for drivers for your specific modem, I couldn't tell you.
  19. No. In order to replace a file, you have to delete the old one then add the new one. When I did that, other entries were being removed that were tied to that file (and they obviously weren't being re-added when I put the updated file in). So I just extracted the CAB and replaced them that way without doing anything in the MSI editor. The reported file version is off, but it seems to work OK (and I can't find a way to refresh it with the correct info).
  20. Meh, for $3/month (including the domain registration), I figured it was worth it .
  21. I got it . Below is MSXML 4.0 SP2 with the 832414 hotfix included. By default, it does NOT create an Add/Remove Programs entry. Standard MSI switches should apply for installation. Please test it out to make sure all works as it should. http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/msxmlsp2.msi (1.79MB)
  22. I figured it out. When I was removing the original file to replace it with a new one, some entries were being removed. I got around that by simply expanding the CAB and copying the files over the old ones in Explorer and repacking the archive. It seems to install OK and the file versions after installation match up correctly
  23. I think there's a large group of us who would b***h slap anyone upside the head who talked smack about this program. You're providing a great service to us all and I'm sure I speak for most of us when I say that I'm willing to put up with some bugs along the way for it

    Windows XP SP2

Your gut instinct would be correct
