  2. If you're doing a clean install, it shouldn't make a difference.
  3. For those of you who want to confirm that SP1 is indeed installed after slipstreaming, check out this link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=318785
  4. What's so difficult about running a couple commands? And no, there isn't (other than just downloading it from one of the links already posted in this thread)
  5. Hence the point of this driver pack... Sure but when this pack doesn't support your RAID controller, how can you do without F6 ? Do it manually. All this pack is is a scripted adaptation of the below method. http://greenmachine.msfnhosting.com/READING/addraid.htm
  6. Hence the point of this driver pack...
  7. The problem is that when you turn WFP back on, the folders will reappear. The way to permanantly remove these folders is to get a patched copy of sfcfiles.dll and add it to your Windows CD. The patcher can be downloaded here. Once sfcfiles.dll is patched, run modifype on it, makecab it, and replace it in the i386 folder of your Windows source CD and you're good to go.
  8. You guys realize that there's a LOT more TX2000 controllers than the 376/378 controllers, right? Those descriptions come straight from the Promise driver downloads (which aren't compatible with the 376/378 controllers as has already been discussed numerous times over).
  9. And your question would be.....?
  10. Don't strain yourself. (BTW, WinRAR comes with a help file)
  11. Highpoint's even worse in that regard. They reused all their DeviceIDs for their SATA controllers from their old PATA controllers.
  12. 7za.exe x path\to\netfxsp1.7z -oc:\extract\path -y I don't think there's an actual silent switch, but this will extract netfxsp1.7z to whatever directory you wish. At that point, you can run the msi file with the usual command lines from the batch file.
  13. EDIT: Link removed. See this post.
  14. For the record, the install point compresses down to 10.9MB as a 7zip archive. And 7z.exe supports all the command switches needed to extract files. Documentation comes with it.
  15. You can use 7zip as well. I've seen the commands in the drivers forum for how to silently extract 7zip archives.
  16. I used a solid archive too.
  17. AIP = Administrative Install Point (I assume)
  18. EDIT: Link removed. See this post. There's a compressed copy of the installation point. All that remains is to make it into a self extractor.
  19. The previous file versions were 1.1.4322.573 SP1 file versions are 1.1.4322.2032
  20. just use the /Xp command to extract the MSP file and the /C command to extract the dotnet install files.
  21. Administrative install point.
  22. I've got a 12.2MB RAR archive with SP1 theoretically integrated. Anyone feeling brave enough to give it a shot? Shoot me a PM if you're willing. If it works, I'll post the link in this thread for everyone to enjoy.
  23. If SP1 can be integrated into the install package, the total package should be smaller than the combined size of .NET 1.1 + the SP1 patch. EDIT: I'm attempting it right now. Gotta re-download .NET first though (yay for being at work )
  24. I've heard rumblings about v9.0.1, but all I've seen for purchase is 9.0.0
  25. MSP files are patches. The question is, can an administrative install be done of .NET 1.1 followed by an SP1 update to the install point?
