  1. Also, I want to say thanks to those of you who donated to me. It means a lot that you find my work that valuable and helps to motivate me to keep working on hard on this. Thanks again!
  2. Don't forget that there are 1.0.1-->1.0.2 upgrade packs available. Save yourself some download time and my bandwidth. Just download the upgrade pack CAB and extract it to i386. That's it!
  3. If you guys want to help me figure this problem out, extract jre5.exe with WinRAR 3.40 or 7-zip and try running the MSI with various switches. Let me know what works and what doesn't.
  4. Version 1.0.2 is out for the Full version only currently. I'll hopefully get the Lite one out in a day or so. http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/
  5. because you know me so well...
  6. It's in the 7-zip help files (I know, crazy place to look! ) http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/...ide/silent.html
  7. Well, you're the first of well over 500 downloads to report a problem, which means the burden of proof is on you to prove that the mistake's on my end and not yours. You're running the exe with no switches at all?
  8. , I haven't even had a chance to try integrating it yet. I've got Administrative Install Points for both 2004 and the 2004 SP1 update sitting on my desktop just waiting to be manipulated. How do I make an MST file with Orca?
  9. OK, so now I have some people saying the latest revised version fixed the reboot problems and others saying it didn't? Boy, this is really working well You're all running the EXE with no switches, right?
  10. I'd personally just start with a fresh XP CD, as it's a bit of a pain to "de-integrate" MS hotfixes (not to say it can't be done, but it's probably a bit much for the average user).
  11. No you didn't. The link in the first post of the thread is dead . Thanks for reminding me to edit that post with the new URL, though Download it from this page: http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/
  12. Please, I want to know how do I do for integrate that Update : 885894, because the integrate command doesn't work. Thx to U 885894 is included in my pack
  13. Yes, VirtualPC emulates hardware. It's a common misperception that it directly interfaces with your hardware. It doesn't.
  14. Thanks for all the nice words. Heck, I owe a few of you guys thanks for the help you guys gave me (oh wait, I did thank you guys ). I've got KB834707 integrated into the pack, but haven't had a chance to test it fully yet, plus I need to create a Lite version of it still. I should be able to get it out by Thursday. On the bandwidth front, my new FTP server seems to be holding up very well, so I see no reason to change that any time in the near future (though I guess 1.0.2's impending release will be a good test of that!). A very sincere thank you to all of you who have offered me mirror space, though. It's very much appreciated Lastly, I just got back from seeing Metallica & Godsmack in concert. Both were GREAT. Do go see them if you like their kind of musical stylings and they're coming to your area!
  15. Best of luck to you
  16. That's what I do! As well as ignoring those that cannot write a legible post. Saves a lot of aggravation, and cuts down the work load as well. But remember: I warned you ... (How do you spell choke? R I V E R A ! We know who his daddy is!) What's new? My opinion's always been that Rivera is overrated. Not exactly the first time he's choked in a big game (*ahem*2001*ahem*). Ah well, still 3-2 going back to NY
  17. All the changes made in the pack are documented on the website. You're the first person in over 300 downloads of .NET to have issues with it, so I'm betting the problem lies on your end.
  18. Sounds like a corrupt download to me. Also, I'll say it again - PLEASE DON'T PM ME, REPLY IN MY THREAD, AND EMAIL ME WITH THE SAME QUESTION. It's incredibly annoying and amounts to nothing more than harrassment in my opinion. ONE FORM OF COMMUNICATION IS ENOUGH. I'm getting ready to just start ignoring people who ignore me. If it's too much to ask of you, then it's too much to ask of me.
  19. Definitely after. I can pretty much guarantee you that if you apply the BtS pack prior to nLite, the entries added to txtsetup.sif will be gone after nLite runs.
  20. Yes, hence why I said right on the Update Pack page: Seriously, do people EVER bother to read?
  21. nope i havent used nlite, i think i might rip the files back off an older cd, and just update it from that unless you have any more ideas. Weird, that issue's been happening with people using nLite recently (I've personally run into it once myself). My pack would have nothing to do with it, that much I'm sure of.
  22. Funny, because I've run SFC on a fresh install and have no issues with SP2 being slipstreamed. I think you botched the slipstream personally.
  23. Because I want to talk to you in private.
  24. OK, test2 is renamed to jre5.exe. Thanks guys.
  25. 19-8
