  1. Any updates on this? Could be something as simple as a proxy or firewall issue.
  2. I suspect V2 will be out before too long, but I've limited testing time these days, so I'll wait ...
  3. I suspect non-FailSafe additions ...
  4. MessageBox will do all of the above ... http://www.optimumx.com/download/
  5. Alternativly, you could remove the ActiveSetup - StubPath entries during setup to avoid these shortcuts from being created. JSI has a couple articles about it, as well as some of my ancient posts. Keywords: ActiveSetup & StubPath
  6. Version 2 is still beta. I don't do beta ...
  7. Actually, I do install JViewer, DotNetFX and HighMAT with SP2. I've not tried all the other ones, which are mostly language packs for DotNet.
  8. Something wrong here ... Please post your LOGFILES.CAB for me to take a looksee. If that has not yet been created XPCREATE.LOG. Also, though I've not used it, I was under the impression that the SUS server DOES work like your own local Windows Update Server, though it is in the process of being re-evaluated/rewritten. Please post the logs so I can get a grasp on what is going on. Thanks
  9. As you wish ... but anything is possible! Check your email / personal messages, please ...
  10. Sounds good. I'll check in later tonight to see how you've done! There is probably something that can be done for the product keys.
  11. I guess that means you got it going ... Great!
  12. Strange, I thought it was the other way around ... Still, just let XPCREATE run a first time without any "user intervention": you will be better off.
  13. Actually, it is simple. There is not boot.bin file, or boot directory on the CD: XPCREATE extracts the (invisible) boot image, and stores it in the BOOT directory where you run XPCREATE. The reason for the original CDs is that there you are sure of a good copy, and I can be sure that noting has gotten screwed up in the process used to copy the original CD. Here is what you should do: Install XPCREATE to an empty directory, do not modify the XPCREATE.INI file, and run it a first time to create the directory structure, and a second time to make your first ISO/CD. After this run, XPCREATE will have extracted your boot image, copied your XP CD to the hard drive, and done it's thing. Work from there adding your user specific files. Please PM me, and I will give your further suggestions. And ... Welcome to MSFN!
  14. Remember, I've never tried it ... I think the you need the file here: D:/HFLISTS/XPP/ENG/XPCTHLST.TXT XPCREATE.INI should be DLURL=file://D:/HFLISTS No, it's not spelled out. It was designed to use the official site, with the official list. This is a user supplied work-around.
  15. It's a long thread, but most of what you need should be there: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=20401&st=0 Note that I do not use the local file method myself, and have never tried or tested it: I just store the files on my local web server.
  16. You can always request ... however ... XPCREATE functions fine, and I am not really looking for "enhancements" at the moment ... Note how few releases there have been since all the bugs have been worked out. 1) I doubt it, as there are NO prompts in XPCREATE, by design. There is also quite a bit of time between copying and burning. Also, after the first run, the source is moved to the HDD, so this should no longer be an issue. 2) A definite no. One hotfix list is already a pain, two is more work than I care to do. You can make your own lists (see other threads here). Don't take it personally: many have tried, few have succeeded!
  17. DLAUTO is degined to include ALL the updates that Windows Update or The Microsoft Baseline Security Advisor list as recommended. I include all those thing on my installations, but it is really a matter of personal preference.
  18. @it_ybd: I'm not sure: I have not tried. But I think anything there should work. Just need to figure out where to put it.
  19. Indeed, MSI installers re-packed into self-extracting programs, by Microsoft, should work fine in SVC-X2M.
  20. You don't give us much to go on, pretender04. Here is a little guide for asking questions: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
  21. Again, I don't consider this an XPCREATE issue ... You are best off in the Unattended Forum.
  22. Thanks, Vel Straty, your file has been uploaded to the server.
  23. No problem!
  24. Thanks Bilou. I've added this to my review list for when I work on the SATA drivers next. However, I think that will be the next, next release: I already have my list for the next release.
  25. They are all updates, not hotfixes.
