i'd made a clean install of Opera 9, but every time i ran it, it freezes and i'd to end the program!! Win XP Home SP2 1.5GHz 256 Ram 32TNT2 any help please ? thanks... Edit: i'd delete manually Opera cash, and it started normaly after that !!

is the HDD Serial ATA ? i guess not as it is old machine... but if so, disable Serial support from Bios, then install XP SP2, then re-enable Serial support.

I think i had that problem and a nice guy here in MSFN helped me: start menu > run > regedit HKey Local Machine System CurrentControlSet Control Lsa Look at the right side: double click on restrictanonymous set value = 0
