There was a lot of disconnection in ADSL with my isp, and when i disabled Trellis value in ADSL config in the router, disconnection gone !! is there any decrease in speed if Trellis is disabled ?? * what i know Trellis is a sort of error correction Thank you

can ISP "technically" recognize that a customer is sharing his ADSL with others ?? Thanks.

we have ADSL router and a network at our home, from about six month we had also that adsl disconnection, we had talked to ISP and they made something called modulation for the phone line, and it was ok. but now it had returned to disconnection again. also may be the ADSL filters or splitters are bad. check also your cables and if they are tightend.

i'd read that you can go to bios and disable serial support for the hard disk then install your XP with SP2 then after you finish the install, enable the serial support again. sp2 is very important or you will get a blue screen if you enable serial support.

just try the registry entry i'd provide... on your DeskTop that entry open the restriction so other users can access the pc.

I liked the Longhorn sidebar but in Vista MS changed it too much. When it comes to performance, Vista feels and runs faster then XP, I have it a month now on my laptop and the performance is also getting better, some programs starts faster after a while. what graphic card do you have on your laptop ?

i get the normal speed from 190 to 220 Kbps... but what about errors and signal loss ? we are using a splitter on the phone line to separate the data from voice, is it the router or the splitter which causes that ?? Thanks jcarle
