quick check with dependency walker

check tools>folder options>view tab look there for 'remember each window's view settings', make sure its checked also, once you get them all arranged how you want click button 'apply to all folders' to make all folders look same (youll have to do it once each for my computer and my documents folder)

do you mean system-wide for perfectdisk? as for its own folder, seems silly but register.txt and readme.txt are required

mce is xp, just a catchy name added. sp2 cd should be cd1 or 2 did you try using both of them?

try using regmon from systernals to see what read/writes it does to registry (be sure to filter out everything except spy sweeper) http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Regmon.html

since i added my own reg entries, they werent being removed at uninstall. fixed with 'reg delete'

i tried myself in my installer at http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=53795 but i couldnt figure it out. since sb does not natively support silent switch, you would have to figure out how it applies its definitions and do it yourself

i think winrar's sfx installer (or any professional installer) isnt hardcoded to "c:\program files" rather it looks in the registry for the path to "program files" so if you change it with nlite to "c:\pf" or "d:\pf" it will not matter. anyways, just try it out on a virtual pc
