Could someone help me becoz I allways get an error when using RyanVm's update pack? I originally had an Xp Sp1 disc and used nLite to slipstream in Service Pack 2 and thats all worked great. But when I install The update packs when windows is copying instillation files I allways get copying errors such as "cdaudio.sys" & "dvdplay.exe" can I delete these entries from the files I changed for the updates and my system will work fine or just forget about it? Should I try and slipstream hotfixes into the windows directory or just install them after instillation? and if so where can I get the .exe files?

Ok I have my Dvd setup to auto logon as admin and change the name to "TheeBeets" but what I want is to have all my documents, music, pictures etc installed and ready for use without having to copy files from another location. How could I go about doing this? I originally did this $OEM$/$Docs/TheeBeets/My Documents/"all my documents" That only caused a new folder in Documents & Settings to be created called TheeBeets.Equinox Please tell me how this is possible as It would make my unattended disc complete

I know there is a registry tweak to disable windows welcome screen you can find it in the registry tweaks section. Edit:

I am really sorry and forgive me if I am thick but Ive wasted to many Dvd's now lol. Ok so the wpi.cmd file we simply copy and paste what you have above and save it? Then we create a text file and call it something.txt and add in the wpi.cmd commands and place it in the wpi folder? And we rename BoXP.txt with our appropriate file name?

removing programs from dvd
TheeBeets replied to chuckman45's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
You can only use nLite to remove windows components that the user considers useless if you want to remove programs that you have installed via RunOnceEx, Wpi, Xplode then simply configure your application installs document ex = config.js to remove what you do not want and remove the application installed itself from your install path in your XPCD. .:~TheeBeets~:. -

I would like to see an option to play a song while music is installing much like a background on wpi and browse for the song and it could be played using an Intergrated sound player? Dont know if poss or would do but this would be a nice feature -
So this will allow files to be loaded from cd? And thats all thats needed? As well as "winnt.sif"

No it's impossible a lot of companys say that they speed up downloads 2x and such but in actual fact you cant get more bandwidth than your Isp provides you with and all these programs do is tweak your pc up a bit and they have a habit of saving webpages u surf often and load them up when you revisit them and this gives the impression of a faster connection!!

Complete advice for beginners?
TheeBeets replied to Sulfurious's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
At the moment Im using Wpi as Im making a Dvd with many applications and it gets it a sleeker look but if I knew exactly what I wanted to install I would use Runonce but it's all about personal choice. Trust me making a disc honestly isnt as hard as you would think -
Thx had a look at the other topic and download the script and well test out in Ms Virt Mach, Cheers
