speedz ITs sounds to me that the card is simply damaged....I had a very similar situation with my Radeon 64ddr, in which one day animations had this pinkish purple surronding then and the picture was all grainy..movies even had this mass amounts of mising pixels...Radeons are know known for overheating due to their crap fans, so if anything, the gpu might be damaged... =Drew

Ad-ware/Spy-ware doesnt nessesarly mean that it has adds, but kazaa and other adware infested programs can install things similar to trogens, that can track you and keep stats on what you download etc. They can lead to constant pop ups even when your not runing their software... =Drew

From my recent interest in tft displys, i have found that the Contrast Ratio is very important. You want it to be atleast 400:1. =Drew

Yes a moniter can be run at a damaging resoultion and refreash rate.....but i havent heard of it happening from just setting it there..it tends to happen from extended use at a res and or refresh rate the moniter is not capable of handeling.... =Drew

Man for 300 bucks you could get yourself a **** DVD-R.. For that kind of cash you could really avoid this...here in the stats they seel Lite-on 44x cd burnners for like 45 with shipping! you could buy like 6 of them be4 you would reach the proce of one of thoses burners..not to mention your going to need to install USB 2 on all the rigs which will coast you about 20 bucks a pop....seriously for that kind of cash you could install a network in your house and share the **** burner...theres alot of options here..you say that u dont have enuf room in your case..s*** get a new case and 4 burners and you would still be spending under 300 =Drew

You probly need to install some 3rdy party drivers... i had this same problem with a system that had a onboard utma 66 hard driver controller... when its loading up the drivers it asks you 2 press a particular key if you need to install 3rd party drivers.... =Drew

If i had a pick between the ones you listed id go4 the Dell..they have decent systems and their failrate is very low. Additionlly they have good cutomer service and pretty much replace hardware within the warenty no questions asked.. But like others have said..its sort of like picking the least of the Evils.. Im with Aaron.. AlienWare rigs are the best prebuilt systems out there, but expect to pay a pretty penney =Drew

LS I think you have been around MSFN long enough to hear about Roxio CD Creator.... and how much crap it is....i would go into the details about what a piece of s***e it is but i have gone on about this topic for a year ...litterally! Now get over Roxio CD Creator and just install Nero....yes im sure there are ways to make CD Creator work fine, but it seems the the effort is too much esspecilly when a supior product is stairing u in the face..... IF you dont wanna take my word for it feel free to search around msfn for comments on CD Creator..i dont think you will find too many positive ones... =Drew

Firewalls can be used inconjunction with with any and all p2p applications....software firewalls will prompt you with a notifcation that a particular programs is using a particular port but you can make rules within the soft-firewall to alloy these ussages with out constand nagging. While using A hard firewall such as a router, in some cases you must open particular port ranges to certian cmputers behinf the firewall inorder for the application to have such parmissions to upload and or download etc etc. Firewalls do not prtect you aginst adware, for the most part you willingly download spyware and adware without being aware of it..appliactions like ad-aware are good applications to detect such ad and spy ware and get rid of it....i reccomend it highly heres a link Ad-Aware =Drew

Man! thats some old school s***e! I member back in the days of DOS and only DOS! I had an old a** tandy..i would program all day long just to get some crappy little color flashing game...i went from that to windows 3.1..which was a total god send back in those days! =Drew

All i have seen is the Tv advert..and they portray it to be similar to max payne..for example They slow down action scenes like bullet time, and the action seems to be similar, in looks but not nessarally game play.... similar but not the same Bottom line the game looks very cool and fun! =Drew
