kTool (just another software selector)
Acatincho replied to kenedy's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
how about support for windows 2003 server? edit: ok i managed to create a new ini file wich seems to work correclty with windows 2003 since most of reg keys wich the original ktoll modify are the same at windows 2k,nt,2000 and 2003. I have an additional question, how can i use the "append" setting at the ini to log-on to a remote server with diff credentials? Or if it is another work arround to reeplace this: DriveMapAdd("W:", "\\servername\c$", 0, "domain\user", "pass") to do it from the ini file -

In fact it depends on the work. At mine i use diverse tools to take remote control, depending on what i am controling, is the tool i use. If you are triying to control a server the best option is Terminal Service, estable and secure, but cant take just 2 sessions and the server would be localy unavailable. For desktops over a LAN with windows NT, 2000, and even 95 and 98 instaling a patch i like Dameware, has many many features, many of them for domains and suck things. For windows 95 and 98 and easy and fast option would be VNC, there is a release out thear thta works with windows 2000 and xp also i think is Thigth VNC, but Ulta VNC is also popular. To take a pc over the INTERNET i heard, that REMOTE ADMIN is a good chooise.

You could also use calcs or xcals

Making a gui to create a winnt.sif
Acatincho replied to MaloK's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
That site and the ref.chm should be all you really need to make an winnt.sif file. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As he said there are many other references not documented in neither os those documents. I saw them once but i cant find them now. -
why didnt you post a link? or some info where to get it?
