under 'hardware profiles' on a tab in the properties of my computer. i just wanted to know if you can set 2 profiles for say work and home, and have them boot into a totally environment, e.g. different programs, settings, etc. i just thought i remembered seing something like this on my friends laptop. thanks, cazzman

For games, xp. server is built for servers. Windows xp is more user-friendly, and the cost (assuming your buying it ) is a big difference. Cazzman.

back to the fist post, you asked how to check your xp version. click start> click run> type 'winver' (without the apostrophe things) or right click my computer and click properties. Cazzman.

a bunch of guys dressed as computer techs and with fake id from the company that administers the Australian Customs computers, including servers, walked into Australian Customs high security offices at sydney (or could be melbourne, not sure) showed security there fake ids and were shown to the server room. then, 2 hours later, after de-bolting 2 servers from there racks, walked out with the servers. The customs office 'arnt sure' what was on the servers, but say it wasnt of any confidential nature. Obviously, it had to of been, or it wouldnt have been held in their high sercurity offices. anyhooow, nice work guys.... Cya, Cazzman.

It still doesnt work.. i tryed what you said terminator 3, then i tried what a friend said which was basically the same code as yours except that it was: Multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1) hd1 - win2k - (was slave for install, now master) hd2 - winxp - (was master for install now slave) So, my friend said that i shouldnt have made hd2 master, because when i changed it back to slave i stuffed it all up. so... when i chose xp from the boot menu it says something about not being able to load windows 2000 files, even though i selected xp. if you can help great, but if this is a major booboo, i can just reinstall xp (as slave.. ) Thanks, Cazzman.

Yellllllllo, if oyu guys can help me it would be great, my dads 'slightly anxious' about what i did to his computer. anyhooow, heres the story.. i've posted about this before so, sorry to annoy.. but.. hd1 - win2k on it. This was the first hd and os installed. is on slave. hd2 - winxp on it. This was the second hd and second os installed. Master. right, hd1 is 30 gig and was the first hd installed. hd2 is brand new and ive just finished installing xp. problem is, theres no boot menu! so, it automatically loads xp. I installed xp second as told by another member, but it still didnt create a boot menu. Should i make hd1 Master and hd2 Slave? Thanks, Cazzman.
