  1. just recently i did this for a small business ( 4 PC networked with no server ) it's pretty easy/weird setup but it will work. i created a shared folder for outlook on a network drive and mapped it to each PC and separate folder for each user than setup each user's email account, close the outlook and move the .pst file to the mapped drive. (if you have a backup .pst file use that one) now when you open outlook it will complain that it can not find the PST file and there you can point it to the new location on the mapped drive. in my case they wanted this so they can have running backup on their main PC in case of something went wrong.
  2. windows 7 X86 sysprep works just fine for me but i am having the same problem as you have with windows 7 X64 sysprep, tried it many times with no luck!
  3. i am no expert in this by any means but i was able to use vista imagex and successfully capture an image from my win7 drive. win7 creates a hidden partition that i believe is the reason for the mess up.
  4. i had the exact same error with sp3 setup and i can tell you for sure in my case it had nothing to do with hfslip or nlite it was the wmp11 addon and the order of slipstreaming it into the source. i consider myself a noobe and can't explain why and how but i think it has something to do with this dll file "ADVPACK.DLL" run some test builds without IE7 and wmp see if that helps the way that works for me slip. SP3 slip. wmp11 IE7 the rest of addon prog. nlite
  5. i have the exact same model and dell does not provide xp drivers for this model however you could use the driver packs and get all drivers you need installed at once. it is pretty strait forward process just nlite your source first and just before making your ISO apply the driverpack to your source. i tried many different driver set found on dell website but actually none worked they all resulted in Blue screen.
  6. i am still having the same issue here. nlite fails to create the user account in an unattended setup and produces the same error same as above no matter what i do. i have used 3 diffrent original source cd from dell, Hp and sony none will work in an unattended setup with user account however the same session.ini worked just fine with 1.3.5 and the same session.ini works every time on a XP corp source even with latest version of nlite in my testing i left everything out meaning no addon, drivers, tweaks, hotfixes and no component was removed. i only tried to make an unattended cd. if you could please take look at the attached session.ini file and let me know what i am doing wrong here. thanks LAST_SESSION_.INI
  7. i tried this in VM and worked perfectly fine for me. but if you load the source(install.wim) and exit the APP for any reason the next time you load the same install.wim or another one it will give you the error and will not work until you reinstall the program or do a repair install of the program.
  8. i think i may have the same problem here. in my case nlite fails to create the user accounts. Error: Setup could not register the OLE Control C:\WINDOWS\system32\userenv.dll because of the following error: DllInstall returned error 2147746132 (80040154). *** Error: Setup could not register the OLE Control C:\WINDOWS\system32\eventcls.dll because of the following error: DllInstall returned error 2147549183 (8000ffff). *** Error: Setup could not register the OLE Control C:\WINDOWS\system32\swprv.dll because of the following error: DllInstall returned error 2147549183 (8000ffff). this was done with no addon or component removal just an unattended install that nlite faild to create the users
  9. believe me I would've loved to find out the source of the problem. I've been tackling this problem since version 1.7.0 . as far as i can tell i never had problem with spyware or viruses not even a slight sign of it and i looked in the registry of few other computers and fresh/untouched install of XP in vmware and none had that reg entry and i have no idea how it got there in the first place. anyway like i said before i am just waiting for sp3 to come out so i can redo this system. it's been long over due
  10. tested both scripts and i could not tell if net1.exe was called or not but i can tell you if it was did not stay on. i think i found the problem! there was a registry entry for net1.exe which i removed and i replaced the net1.exe in system32 from the cd just to be on the safe side and problem is solved. however net1.exe showed up in taskmanager ONLY when HFSLIP was running. weird all the way around Thanks again for your help
  11. yes the command does complete successfully Software version Windows 2002 let me ask you this does the 1.6.5 version checks the version of OS as well? what does net1.exe do for HFSLIP?
  12. i just did a test in a vmware os and the HFSLIP 1.7.4 runs perfect but the same setup will not run on my main OS. there must be something missing some where . anyway thanks for the help i will just wait until SP3 is out than i will redo my OS what is net1.exe? any idea? it appears in the taskmanager whenever i run the HFSLIP 1.7.4 and as soon as i terminated that process the HFSLIP continues on with it's process if i remove the net1.exe from system32 folder HFSLIP will work as normal but why is it called by HFSLIP if there is no need for it. it just doesn't make sense.
  13. you were right about me going insane it actually is after the compression setting and path setting which both are left at default. i am sorry if i am driving you crazy and thanks for the help typing MAKEISO instead of I have read the instructions makes it disappear.
  14. it's already too late for me HFANSWER.INI it's at default. i think i used it once for the IE7 integration and than set it back to default.
  15. the last working version of HFSLIP for me is 1.7.0 the newer version just sits there after i enter "I HAVE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS" and hit enter. just stays blank does nothing. i run pretty basic setup here just the hotfixes and some addon apps and have not changed anything. i must be missing something in my setup that is needed by HFSLIP but i can not figure out what it is. maybe you know here is HFSLIP log file of a working version. 16. what i tried was to add all installed theme which was the default xp, window classic , vistaGC , media center. if i add them all at once i get the error but i can add them one at the time with no problem.
  17. i have the same problem as everyone else here, can install from HD but not from CD. last night i was testing the XP SP3 beta and prepared my usual unattended setup CD including the O2k3Sp3 and to my surprise it installed fine and worked without a problem. maybe someone here can try it and see if it works for them as well.
  18. according to this web site http://www.blackviper.com/WinVista/Service..._AutoConfig.htm WLAN AutoConfig Default Description: This service enumerates WLAN adapters, manages WLAN connections and profiles. Additional Information: This service is required for Wireless Networks as well as the following group of services: * CNG Key Isolation * Extensible Authentication Protocol * Wired AutoConfig * WLAN AutoConfig WLAN AutoConfig, if set to Manual or Automatic, will not start automaticly if you use a hardware switch (such as those on laptops to turn on and off the wireless network card). If you require wireless connectivity on your computer, keep the listed services above on the default values. If you do not have a wireless card installed on the system, or do not require authentication on your wired network card, the group of services can safely be disabled.
  19. i just check the epson site and the last drivers they released for your printer is win2000 which was released on 2004 and there are no windows xp drivers for it either. how old is that printer?
  20. i am not 100% on this but i think there is a few services that needs to be turned on. check black viper site for more info i think the default wireless service in set to manual try setting it to auto see if it helps
  21. i was in the same dilemma as you with my usb wireless adapter from dell they never released any vista drivers for it and they said there will never be a driver for my version of adapter. i was just about ready to buy a new adapter and someone told me to try the xp drivers so i did extract the drivers from installer and did a manual install of just the drivers it's been working ever since with no problem. i think it even works better with vista than it did in xp. good luck
  22. i had the same problem on my vista 32bit and after installing this hotfix "KB929735" lost the wireless connection and the wired connection was slower than dialup. removed it and it was all good.
  23. i have some what the same issue as you have but maybe not as bad as yours. i am not really sure if it is nlite that is causing it. i have 3 nlited pc here and only one of them has this issue. the one with the problem is on a USB adapter and the others are pci adapter and was wondering if it has to do with the usb tweak? what kind of adapter do you have?
  24. it worked for me no more high cpu/mem usage at startup
  25. i use the wmp10 addon pack just never trid it using hfslip, i sure will now that i know how. i have been using the same set of program and tweaks in all of my cd's so i was pretty sure they were not causing the problem that i had so i just ran the latest 60326f and using merge and no merge option they both seems to be OK now per your request here is the drvindex file from both no merge 60207b and the no merge 60326f Thanks again DRVINDEX.7z
