I am going to mod my puter a bit since it still runs well and I cant justify spending money for a new one. I ordered a new fan/heat sink combo, upgraded the stock 80 mm fan with a 120 mm high flow(exaust) and will add a 120 mm(intake) With my puter all I do is surf net, play games, mod and test out new os's in virtual pc, burn cd's and dvd's and sometimes edit them. I know my stuff is dated 1900+,1024 mb pc 133 ram and a 128 mb ddr video card. I have support for ddr on my board so later I might do that. So far its done all I have asked of it. Would it be much better with 1024 mb of ddr? I am pretty good with cutting sheet metal so mods shouldnt be a problem. I do have a question about the intake fan. I have 2 choices 1. Raise up bottom of computer with rubber legs and mount it there 2. In the clear window in the side Which of these 2 would yield better cooling? dirtwarrior

I took the side off my case to see what would happen. CPU temp 121, case temp 98. A little different from with case closed up. Am I starved for air? dirt

OK I have nothing to worry about, good. I was wondering if thos 80 to 120 fan adapters and a 120 fan would help to increase air flow. My case ATM has a 80 fan near the top of case, and I just changed the PSU with a dual fan 580 watt exausting air out the back. The case fan is spinning but I cant feel any air flow so I dont know if it is pushing or pulling air. I would like to increase air flow into case but dont want to mess things up. Is the adapter a good idea? Pushing or pulling? dirt

I got my 1900+ to 1600 yeah. I want to add more air flow to my case but it is very limited. I was thinking about 5.25 bay fans or slot coolers or maybe both. I might need to upgrade the cpu cooler. Just need some hints. Is it easy to mod the case to add larger case fans? Maybe 1 in the very bottom. dirt

Could someone recommend a good enclosure for a 3.5 HD? I want it to be ide interface inside. USB 2.0 and 1.1 outside. A fan, and able to format drive from within enclosure. Well also look good too. dirt

Sorry about your bad luck. I cant even begin to help you. I am sure some on here will be able to though. I am using 1024 mb of pc 133 ram with no problems doing the things I need to do. I was thinking of upgrading to ddr. I changed my mind. The added cost Maybe a little added performance But after reading the perils, this made me not want to do it. dirt

With this board I am running 1024 mb of PC 133. What benitit will I gain moving up to 1024 mb of DDR?

Does it allow voltage changes. There are several bios to choose from. Which one do you recommend?
