  1. but is there is a way to include them to our windows , like making them *.cab and then just integrate them , so that those will be like the standard icons of windows ????

For that you shall need either previosly reshacked files or some File Patcher like Xpize or Vista Tranformation Pack.

  2. Are you running ANY Microsoft BETA application:

    http://board.iexbeta.com/index.php?showtopic=61729

  3. Hi guyz , was just sending a mail from Gmail and saw this ad over there about Desktop mail bla bla. Normally dont ponder more on them , but today just out of curiosity , i cliked on it and was looking what it is.

Man the registration took not even a minute :o and what a sleek display . For some time , was amazed at the rich display it was providing in IE . But then i came to knwo that it is Flash Based

I definetly reccommend you to try it out once , because this is where i guess the future would be heading

  5. I allow you....but never *hope and release* anything before getting the actual confirmation

Actually , it just did not occur to me that using your icon means i need to get your permission.

While i was writing the readme for the pack , i remebered it and though ,

    Better late than never :)

Thanx for letting me use it.

  6. :D Hi guyz , Although kudesnick released an icon packager theme while releasing the Vista Ultimate Icon Pack 2 , It did not satisfy me.

So i took his permission and compiled a new theme from his Developers pack.

I also included a VB script icon created by Xpero , hope he allows me to.

An pdf file format icon was taken from some unknown source. I found it on the net and liked it.

The cursor set is the fedora theme.

The office Icons for Word , Powerpoint and Excel were also taken from some PNG art found on Neowin.

Hope you people like it , suggestions are welcome :)

I did not use rapidshare or megaupload since many people have trouble with them.

A new pack with loads of file extensions is in the process of creation . Will be working on it after a day or two. Please feel free to contribute icons which would go with the Vista Theme and i can use in the pack

  7. I guess we shall only be needing a new version to fix the major MMC support bug!!

Others things do seem normal to me .

Maybe a change in the Winrar theme? those 64 x 64 icons do not seem to fit in with the normal look of most of the systems :)

More themse for 3rd party apps this time?

  8. nope, WLMe is an update for Msn 7.5! You cant still use win xp SP1 when you upgrade to SP2 can you? No, Its the same thing

Well i did not pay attention to this before ,

You can run both of them simultaneously , Very very simpe step -

Install 7.5 , copy the folder , install WLMe.

Now run any of them by opening the executable :)

  9. Well actually , no it is not a public beta yet. This page shall just take you to the sign up page .

It is still a Invite - Only participation.

I guess they shall make it public once they finalise upon the UI and the layout , its been changed twice already!!!

  10. hi , well even i posted the same in the Browsers thread over here in MSFN .

But i read on the Neowins, Someone pointed it out , that opera has not passed it completely yet ,

The nose turns blue when you pass the mouse over it , when infact , it should not turn blue!!!

So although it has not passed , but very close!!! :)

Reading that article , i think i need to verify my sources before believing.

  11. Prety Simple Answer - But 64 bit Processor.

    1. The future is definitely 64 bit.

    2. It runs 32 bit without any problem .

    3. Till the tim x64 come up as the major in the Computing world , run x86 products only!!! Use XP 32 bit , it shall run completely smoothly , and since the machine is faster , you can guess what shall happen .

4 Whenever 64 bit becomes prevalent or supported widely , you can switch on to it without having to shell out for a new Chip.

I would suggest everyone it would be useless to spend on a 32 bit chip today :)

  12. :( I like to click on the ads to support MSFN from time to time.

But many times these ads open in the same page itself instead of a new page :o

This really bugs me a lot , since i have to go back to that very page again.

I know it is not a big deal , but it bugs.

Cant the ads be made to open in a new page?

    Tested on IE6 and Opera.

:) i hope something can be done about it , because then clicking on the ads wont be that buggy and will become a frequent phenomenon.
