  1. Ah, that makes since. I mean, I do the same thing with 360Chrome - use v11 for 99% of the time, use v13 for 1% of the time. So I would be happy with a stable release Mypal 68 for 99% and 78/91 for 1%. I'd go so far as using an "abandonware" version of Mypal 68 (I "hate" weekly updates!) once it becomes "stable". I'd be okay with Feodor's experiments releasing three versions then abandoning 68 if he finds that 78/91 is his future - because I don't think he's looking to "constantly update" all three.
  2. Ugh! Thanks for pointing that out. "Dead on arrival" in my books. Had high hopes, admittedly. But "dead on arrival".
  3. At any rate, if you're trying to get emojis in title bar and tabs of one of my "portable" versions, then I would suggest experimenting with the Palette Title system setting and pointing it to an emoji font as opposed to altering an existing XP font. I don't "want" emojis so I'll leave the experimenting up to you guys, though I am still interested in the findings
  4. I have an MS Sans Serif (only checked on my XP x64, have not checked my XP x86) but systems that do not have it specifically probably pull it from Microsoft Sans Serif instead -
  5. For what it is worth, mine says Tahoma (v11, v12, v13, and v13.5) - inline with my system settings Palette Title (the registry value changes to Arial if I change this system setting to Arial). (edit - updated image)
  6. Can you elaborate? WHAT is patched? What is changed? What advantages to the "patched" versus a "regular"?
  7. I'm with @hidao, I do not want emojis in my title bar or in my tabs or in my bookmark names. @Dave-H - there is a title bar in 360Chrome (I only use software with title bars). When you set the setting in Settings -> UI Style -> Appearance to "Show tabs on: Middle", that's when you get the STANDARD title bar.
  8. There were red banners plastered all over the forum a month or so ago stating that MSFN was going to shut down "if donations don't come in" (paraphrasing, I forget the exact wording). Issues were pointed out that the donation system wasn't working in regards to submitted donations but withdrawals from submitting accounts were never withdrawn. Donation system seems to be resolved. Donations were made, MSFN lives on.
  9. I've always preferred an extension for password management even during my Mypal days. I've always been paranoid of browser leaking passwords if I let the browser remember them. Goes without saying though that the extenstion has to be "vetted" and I trust that one.
  10. Here's what I use in 360Chrome -- https://www.crx4chrome.com/crx/270462/ I prefer v9.6.6 but can't recall offhand why I disliked the newer v10.x.

  12. Agreed! My primary computer has five monitors but because of DVI vs HDMI vs VGA vs USB, the "primary" monitor has to be the VGA but it's the one of the five that barely gets looked at.
  13. Thanks! And wow, it's grown quite a bit. 660 KB in 2016. 1.97 MB in 2019.
  14. All I had to do in XP x64 was copy the .ttf file into the Fonts Folder and it installed itself. I use Q-Dir as my file explorer so it's possible that Q-Dir did whatever you guys needed TweakUI for
  15. My Win10 is LTSB and the seguiemj.ttf is dated 2016. I found some font sites that have one dated 2018 but cannot find any dated 2019. Not sure how different they would be, but can you share the 2019 seguiemj.ttf?
  16. Which one did you use? I'm finding two seguiemj.ttf files. One is dated 10/31/2015. The other is dated 8/7/2017.
  17. I tried Googleing but I guess I don't know where to look. I am curious if having an "emoji" (non-standard font) as a "meta" character (title or tab name) is even "compliant" with official web standards? Edit - To put it a different way, people often condescend Microsoft by calling them "Micro$oft", often condescend Google Chrome "functions" by calling them "Google-isms". We also have "Chrome-isms" as a term often used by Mozilla Fans to condescend something that Chrome is capable of but that Mozilla lacks. So my question is this - are "emojis" in the title bar (and the inclusion of an emoji font) just a "Mozilla-ism"? Shouldn't that offend us just as much as a "Chrome-ism"?
  18. It is possible that your skin is causing your crashes. It is not advisable to just "mix-and-match" files across different versions/builds/releases. It's always amazed me how often these "mix-and-match" scenarios bring about their own issues that would not otherwise exist.
  19. Agreed. And at least with it, the end user can still modify parts of the GUI via Stylem (last I checked, that is). One of my most GIGANTIC beefs against Chromium is that there is no TITLE BAR. THANKFULLY Mypal 68 still has a Title Bar. I still look forward to Mypal 68's "stable release". It's really about the ONLY thing I see on the horizon that would get me to return to Mozilla-based.
  20. VERY possible! Because v13.5 always locks up for me after every hibernate or reboot. The very first launch after a reboot/restart/unhibernate "spawns" differently than every launch thereafter. And for me, that first launch always locks up in v13.5 and v13.5 only. I can't (ie, choose not to) post in Chinese or Russian forums or I'd post it to "upstream" folks. Given the nature (hover only, six+ downloads only), I can see why nobody ever noticed it for so long.
  21. I wouldn't go that far, but yeah, agreed. I'd have to see how an emoji-tab renders in an "official" Chromium versus Mozilla. I do recall that Mozilla Roytam/Feodor adds an emoji font (TwemojiMozilla.ttf) because I always intentionally delete it. Unsure if "official" adds this font. I guess I'm just "used to" seeing little boxes here and there because I do prefer to block a crapload of unneeded fonts
  22. I have been unable to replicate this on five different computers. Unless another v13.5 user can report this also, I kinda have to assume this is only on your system. I cannot find this and the Chinese also appears in the Russian Repack, suggesting they could not isolate this button either. With it only being an on-hover and only being when six or more downloads are downloading, seems too much or a rarity to worry too much about. I'll keep digging for curiosity, but it's not looking like it's going to be in any of the normally-modified files.
  23. I'll see if others can resolve this. I delete and disable Segoe UI fonts on all of my machines because sub-pixel / anti-aliased fonts give me migraines.
  24. Agreed. We need a TEST SITE for the tab font emojis. I see a "Magrinho" YouTube tab which seems to be an example, but I viewed the source code and I am not being sent the "square" (missing font) that your screencap is showing before the "Mc". And I could also only find a "bass boosted" version of that song which sounds outright TERRIBLE on my speakers, all CRACKLE AND STATIC (thought that is a bit "off-topic", lol).
