Hmmm... I would get rid of it Rogue. I have the original Adobe Gamma on my computer and it is much different than this one. For one. Mine is file version 1.0.0.1. Yours is 1.00. Plus almost all of the version info is different. Including the copyright info. Mine says copyright 1998 yours is blank. Mine does not have an icon... yours does. Very weird file. The original Adobe Gamma is only needed for changing the visual settings on your monitor. If your monitor looks fine... you don't need it anyways. If you're not using photoshop or any picture editing software.. you don't need it. Better to be safe than sorry.

[Question] Anyone who know´s what this command line does?
Siginet replied to MonMon's topic in Windows XP
It means it is moving syssetub.dll and overwiting syssetup.dll with it. -
hmmm... thats an interesting question. And a good one. I'd be interested in knowing if that is possible myself.

Place them in a directory named $1 inside of the $OEM$ dir. That will place the files on your %SystemDrive%. (Root of drive where windows is installed). You can also use $$ as a directory of files that should go into your %WinDir% directory (Windows). cmdlines.txt would be placed in $OEM$ if you are using it.

slipstreaming hotfixes? or not?
Siginet replied to xavmdq's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
What language do you need. There are some packs that are for other languages. Or you may want to look into HFSlip. -
slipstreaming hotfixes? or not?
Siginet replied to xavmdq's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Then you definatly want to use the "RyanVM Integrator" and updatepack. Instead of just adding the hotfix to svcpack it actually extracts the system files into I386 and overwrites the original files. Then it does any file editing needed to make a true slipstream of the hotfixes. This way makes it so the filesize of your I386 folder is not much larger than the original. RyanVM.net Booggy has also made a windowsupdate only UpdatePack as well: Booggy's WU Update Pack Also for other 3rd pary utilities that you can slipstream to your disk check out: Addon Pack Downloads There are also switchless installer addons as well: Switchless Installer Addons -

RVMIntegrator Addon Packs Update Pack Addons forum Here's some links on the rvm site that will help you even more. Sorry I didn't have time earlier to point you into the right direction. But basically you download the RVMIntegrator then you just point to your disk, point to the destination on your hard drive. Then select all of the addons you wish to slipstream. You can select multiple addons by holding ctrl. -
Slipstreaming Windows Media Player 10
Siginet replied to Obliviator's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
The RyanVM Integrator can SlipStream WMP10 and many other programs. You may want to check out the link in my signature. Also you may want to browse RyanVM's forum for many other programs that you can slipstream etc. -
Yes there is a way to reboot with out rebooting. It is called "Shutdown". After the computer turns off you press the power button and your computer boots back up! Honestly I don't think you can accomplish what you want... Or it may be difficult. Sometimes you can get away with just logging out and logging back in. But a lot of times if it asks you to reboot it is because the system is using files that need to be replaced. When you reboot there are things in the registry that tells windows to replace those files as the computer boots up and before windows begins using the files again.

You can also try my program Windows XP PowerPacker if you need some help. It can do everything that you are trying to do. Then you could look over the files powerpacker creates and see where you might have went wrong. At least it can help give you an idea of things.

Is your drive using the FAT32 file system? Because fat32 only supports files 2GB or smaller. If so you'll need to upgrade to NTFS.

You may want to try out my app The RVMIntegrator. It will help you make advanced installations. You can find many addons on the RyanVM forums that advanced members have made. -
Actually there is a way to put them all on one CD! I have done it a while back... there is a thread here at msfn that explains how to do it. It isn't very clear on telling you how to do it... but it does work once you figure out how to do it. If I find the thread I will come back and edit my post. Edit: Found it http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=51225

I am trying to search for a way to run a command within an inf file. So far I haven't really found what I am looking for. I've looked everywhere I can think of... so I thought I would ask here. I found something about RunPostSetupCommands and RunpreSetupCommands which supposedly allow you to run a command within an inf file... but it doesn't seem to do anything for me. Are these commands sopported in a windowsXP inf file? Can someone give me an idea of how I might: 1. Be able to run commands from within an inf file. 2. Execute a batch file or exe from within an inf file. Thanks!

Prob: Multiboot build of OEM Home/Pro boot error
Siginet replied to Ghostrider's topic in Windows XP PowerPacker
I confirm this bug. IDENT files are correctly copied to the ROOT/XP.. folder, but only the files from the first CD you build are copied to the root of the CD. If you start from scratch and build an xphome CD followed by an XP PRO CD, WIN51IC files will be in the root of the CD but not WIN51IP files and vice versa. Files from the 2nd build need to be copied to the root of the CD manuallly Thanks for clearing that up for me. I wasn't quite sure what to look for. I knew there was a bug... but wasn't sure where till I read your reply. Consider this bug fixed in a later release... that I haven't had time to code yet. But I promise I will release a huge update when I do update it. -
If you bluescreened after installing SP2 my guess is that your system is infected with a virus or something. And if you've been running sp0 for this long my guess is more than likley right. There are so many holes in the original XP it is scarey.

Man... If I were a mod here I'd lock every one of those threads. That is pretty bad. I've seen people doublepost... but 6 threads for the same question is outrageous!

FAQ | Using the DriverPacks directly in Windows?
Siginet replied to peterhuh's topic in The General Stuff
Don't point to the cd. Instead use the built in windows option to search the cd. As well you can use my tool "PathChanger" to set the default windows path to a specific location. Then have windows search for drivers the default way... instead of checking it's regular area it wil check the path set in pathchanger. When you are finished ... remember to reset your path. Pathchanger can be found in my sig. -
Will vista be supporting "Jibberish" as well? I speak it nativley! Don't worry... I am sure Vista will support most all languages.

Very useful program thanks a lot! I was actually thinking of making something like this too... but I didn't have the time. Maybe add an indicator that says "Downloading Update 3 of 34" or something like that. Like what you see on MS Update.

Adding Hotfixes, AutoPatcher/Nlite/RyanVM/XPCreate
Siginet replied to Synapse's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Easiest way I know of is using my RVMIntegrator and use booggy's UpdatePack (Which can be found on Ryans Forums. Booggy's updatepack only installs Windows Update Hotfixes... so you only get the hotfixes that you need. On Ryans forums you can also find a ton of user made addons as well that you can integrate to your disk with my RVMIntegrator. Good luck! -
Well... I'm going on 28 soon so don't let it bother you much. On this board we are still considered kids I suppose. BTW Bashrat... forget about driving for now... you need to hit up the strip clubs! Congrats on the big 18 Bashy!

Actually my post on how to use RVMIntegrator and PowerPacker together works... but is not the best way to do it. The best way to do it would be to use the integrator first. Let it do its job and then use Powerpacker to create a tripack for you of the integrated i386 folder. In the next release of the integrator this will be very simple because there will be an advanced tab in the integrator that will allow you to call an external program with optional switches upon completion of the integration process. The reason I haven't updated my thread here is because I know soon we will be releasing the new integrator which will make everyones life way easier. So stay tuned! Things will be getting easier very soon. I also plan to update the code in powerpacker to have a lot of new features too. It's just getting motivated and getting time latley that is holding me back. But there are a lot of plans brewing in the works right now.
