Because it is a network share. It does not look at the file system like that. The directories you see in a shared folder are only links to the content. Basically the NTFS machine is translating it for the WIN98 machine. (In lamens terms.)

[Tips and Tricks] Windows XP PowerPacker
Siginet replied to Siginet's topic in Windows XP PowerPacker
Just added 2 more to the list. How to Integrate Service Pack 2 with Windows XP PowerPacker. How to unattendedly use XPize with Windows XP PowerPacker. -
Xpize Unattended with Windows XP PowerPacker OK... to integrate the XPize files to the pack you need to add the command below to your AFTERPACK.BAT file. (More info about AFTERPACK.BAT can be found in the help file.). We use the AFTERPACK.BAT file because it is executed as the last step of the packing process of this specific pack. Since XPize edits many specific files with new graphics we want to make sure nothing else puts other files over the XPized ones. Ok here I will explain the command: 1. The blue section is the path and the name of the XPize file you are going to use. This file can be anywhere on your harddrive. I recommend you make a plugins folder in the PowerPackers directory. And make another folder inside of it called XPize. In the XPize folder place the XPizev4_MCE.exe. The reson I recommend this is because in a later version of Windows XP PowerPacker it will have direct support for the XPize file as long as it is in that directory. 2. The red section is the manditory switches you have to have exactly as posted. /S means silent and /mode=i386 means you will be integrating the XPize files to your pack. 3. The green section is pointing to the I386 directory you will be using as the source files. You should use %CD% because that means the current directory where this batch file is run. The PREPACK.BAT file gets run inside of the folder containing the i386 directory for this pack so we add \I386 to the end of it. 4. The purple section is the path to the destination I386 directory. So we basically follow the same as step 3... because our source and destination should be the same.

How to unattendedly use RyanVM's Integrator...
Siginet replied to Siginet's topic in Windows XP PowerPacker
It shouldn't be in the root folder. Did you put those files in the extrapack files dir? Because you only need the PREPACK.BAT file in there. The prepack.bat file can point to the rvm files from anywhere. -

Can integration SP2 with Windows XP PowerPacker
Siginet replied to alhaddar's topic in Windows XP PowerPacker
Yes you can. Just add it to your PrePack.bat file (Before the command to integrate RyanVM UpdatePack. Obtain the Full Network Install version of Windows XP Service Pack 2 (272 MB) X:\SP2\WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe /integrate:%CD% Change X:\SP2 to your path to the sp2 file. I haven't tested this yet... but it should work. Let me know if it works or not. -

I can confirm the update error as well. It worked with 5.10 But not 5.10.1

How to unattendedly use RyanVM's Integrator...
Siginet replied to Siginet's topic in Windows XP PowerPacker
Ok here is your problem. I looked at the file you had attached and there were a lot of things wrong with it. First off you were not executing the RyanVM Integrator at all. Second it did not follow the instructions for the multiple addons. And it wasn't all on one line. Try this: "C:\RyanVM\RVM_Integrator_v1.0RC8.exe" /u "%CD%" "D:\sp\sp2\RyanVMUpdatePack\morefiles\RVMUpdatePack1.3.1.cab" "D:\sp\sp2\RyanVMUpdatePack\morefiles|RVMAddonsFull_1.0.cab|RVMAddonsWMP10_1.0.cab" It is all one line. You will need to change C:\RyanVM\RVM_Integrator_v1.0RC8.exe to represent the path to your RVM_Integrator_v1.0RC*.exe -
Is that with Office 2k3 SP2 slipstreamed?

How to unattendedly use RyanVM's Integrator...
Siginet replied to Siginet's topic in Windows XP PowerPacker
<{POST_SNAPBACK}> you need to put that line in the prepack.bat as one line, and not two, as you appear to have done. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep. The forum makes it look like it is 2 lines only because it needs to wrap the text... but it should be all on one line. Try it all on one line and you should be set. Thanks for helping mjc! -
How to unattendedly use RyanVM's Integrator...
Siginet replied to Siginet's topic in Windows XP PowerPacker
I'm not sure I understand. The integrator has nothing to do with winrar. Please post the prepack.bat file you are trying to use and I will look at it and modify it for you. -

That's a good point. I start a new thread so that new bugs are posted in each thread for that specific version. But I think you are right. I think I will reply to the previous thread so that others know a new version has been released. -
Windows XP PowerPacker v1.0 RC7.1 Well... it is finally here! Windows XP PowerPacker v1.0 RC7.1 PowerPacker will help a user create a Multiboot Windows XP disk with or without DriverPacks. It will do almost everything for you, even hex edit the files needed to be hexed, create the boot directory, boot menu, etc. It makes creating multiboot XP disks a breeze. This program was made with the BTS DriverPacks in mind. Basically it does just about everything you need to do to add a windows XP load to your MultiBoot Disk. It will gather the needed files from your source XP CD and put them into a directory you specify. It will grab the DriverPack Files and install them. It will create a boot directory for your load and even hex edit the files that need to be HEXED to allow you to boot to it. It will put the needed info into the boot list so you can select your XP load. It makes testing the DriverPacks very easy!!! ================================================== Fixed in this release: Version History: HERE ================================================== Please post bugs and requests in this thread... and be nice... this is my first Public App! Actually I personally would reccommend cdimagegui before magic iso. Magic ISO or Ultra ISO are great for editing Optimised ISOs but they can't beat cdimage on the creation. At least in my own experiances.

I plan on releasing the latest version of Windows XP PowerPacker soon. It has all new graphics again. Thanks to XPero! All of the graphics are simular to my avatar. A new icon, Boot Screen and header for the program! Thanx a lot XPero! They look very nice too! Should make a lot of users happy. It is much more professional and is definatly an XP theme. I also am fixing the problem with having to click on the Tri-Pack or Custom Pack Name once to make the program work correctly. This bug was posted and will be fixed. I also will be adding some code to make sure the folder is created before creating the ISO.
