that is my sentiments, It did cross my mind, just maybe browser and having right strings booleans in config also did think it maybe well the source, a pain, I turned off the autoplay for videos in the FB settings I could see if it is that with sons laptop he has Win7 i have wondered IF "maybe£ someone has a prefs file with all the mods they could share

I have noticed with alot of videos on facebook, will not play properly seems to be no sound or instead of playing on newsfeed, it goes to the theatre and doesnt play. not sure why some vids play on newsfeed and some goto the theatre (opens a window) yes I have spkrs and are on lol I have all the relevant files in Mozilla folder in correct places, and the about:config has correct strings and booleans wondered if anyone else has seen or noticed it I wonder if it is the way the videos are encoded or maybe borked when uploaded, or they way it was recorded , I would off thought they are mostly mp4

is it or would it be possible to put the file(s)extracted with 7zip (mpengine.dll and mpsigstub.exe.) or whatever relevant files straight into the Antimalware folder

If in an event ther eis No workround to get MSE defs again, what would be a lightweight friendly AV, alot I had in past like Avira, Avast wasn;t too kind and threw false positives. Norton embeds into system too much and Mcaffee is a No go, what about Black Ice or Panda

I would think swapping to Defender will probably be same as MSE the definitions will not update

essentially alot of the files are the same opened with 7zip I wonder with a bit of manipulation you could swap file(s) I did try a windows defender definition update, didnt work it;s called mpas-fe instead of mpam-fe

After a refresh , restart of FF seems most vids do work and GIF's so it must be as said, its the surrounding area and/or JS/CSS all files in FF are as should be and Strings / Booleans are correct with right UA

I believe it should work Yes, alot of the Strings and Booleans are missing in the about:config, and need to be put in manually. But also some folders n files into the FF profile folder

I quite Agree I stlll use WMP9 won;t goto 11, I tend to use MP3Tag then all info is there when you import to WMP

is Primetime decryption the same as the Widevine ?, I am trying to get the DRM into FF 52.9 ESR, I have Spoofed the Useragent, and changed all relevant stuff, but Pritimetime is there but not Widevine I want to get Widevine so when I goto Content I can turn it on to get the Spotify Webplayer working all the widevine.cdm is enabled in the about config just wonder if i need any other files in the FF profile sure widevine was there before I did a refresh, Primetime is there

I've noticed since changing the UserAgentoveride, i now have 2 seperate Firefox Processcesses instead of 1, still amount to same as 1 didn't do that before

you sir are a diamond I put that string in for the UserAgent in the config restarted, now I get on right click "Pause, Unmute, Show video URL, and Copy video URL at current time". instead of the flashplayer settings many thnx for that I will save the prefs file to somewhere in event I have to need it

it shows as using Flashplayer, the mute button to side of video IS deffo not muted and up, i can hear sound ok outside of FB like on uuotube
