only balanced is shown in classic control panel. even after I ran the command

Follow the instructions in the link I included.
Over "Balanced" you should have the option of choosing "High" or "Ultimate".

    P.S.

This is my PC where I chose "Ultimate" but I would also have "High":

    P.S.

I would not want MS to prevent the Ultimate power plan in laptops.

But you should be able to select at least "High".

Follow the instructions in this link (if they seem easier to implement):

    https://computersluggish.com/windows11/optimisation-maintenance/windows-11-add-ultimate-performance-power-plan/

  2. @Jaguarek62

Try to activate the Ultimate Performance plan.

I in my PC use this energy plan that is often hidden:

    https://allthings.how/how-to-enable-ultimate-performance-plan-in-windows-11/

    P.S.

You can also enable in Edge the QUIC protocol:

    https://www.teimouri.net/quic-speeding-web-revolution-networking/

    + this flag:

TLS 1.3 Early Data - Enabled

    https://www.ssldragon.com/blog/tls-1-2-vs-1-3/

    Quote

...This streamlined process, known as ‘Zero Round Trip Time’ or 0-RTT, not only speeds up the handshake but also significantly improves overall connection time. TLS 1.3 also introduces a concept called ‘Early Data,’ allowing some data to be sent by the client in the first round trip, further improving performance...

A great many websites use QUIC.
    Not MSFN.

    2. These are my only settings for DNS that I use on mypal68.

I mean to put this under the last posting - I use 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 on my router and in the XP connection network settings.

You don't have much malware/phishing protection with CloudFlare DNS.
Try this service and see if it fits your needs.

Personally, I would choose 3rd Party Filters configurations.
The best choice might be OISD full which is not convenient to include in the adblock filter lists because it's too many rules.
Of course you then have to uncheck the anti-malware/phishing filter lists that you possibly use in adblock.

    EDIT:

    A few more questions:

    Should we enable the flag..

    "Ungoogled" Supermium Mode

A work in progress - this rolls all new privacy-protecting features in Supermium into one option – Mac, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, Android, Fuchsia, Lacros

    #ungoogled-supermium

Or is it too early to do such?

Also; what do you recommend with the following:

    Tracking Protection for 3PCD

Enables the tracking protection UI + prefs that will be used for the 3PCD 1%. – Mac, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, Android, Fuchsia, Lacros

    #tracking-protection-3pcd

    DefaultEnabledDisabled

    Tracking Protection Rollback Flow

Enables the tracking protection rollback flow – Mac, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, Android, Fuchsia, Lacros

    #tracking-protection-onboarding-rollback-flow

Third-Party Cookie Deprecation Trial Grants for Testing

Controls creation of cookie access grants for the Third-Party Cookies Deprecation Trial. Please note that, even if enabled, this will still require #tracking-protection-3pcd to be enabled and a pref to be set, for it to have an effect. See https://developer.chrome.com/blog/cookie-countdown-2023oct/ for more details. – Mac, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, Android, Fuchsia, Lacros

    #third-party-cookie-deprecation-trial

    Bounce Tracking Mitigations

This flag controls bounce tracking mitigations. – Mac, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, Android, Fuchsia, Lacros

    #bounce-tracking-mitigations

Thank you guys for everything and thank you @win32

PS: I'd like to know what you, @dmiranda, think of this new version V122.0.6261.85 - I'm having amazing results thus far.

Planned changes to third-party cookie deprecation work differently than what happens when you disable third-party cookies through browser settings that currently disable all third-party storage resources completely. Instead, after the change, the browser will continue to allow partitioned cookies explicitly and will automatically partition other storage. Partitioned storage is not shared between Web sites.

    Also read this:

    https://github.com/privacycg/CHIPS

Personally, at this time I would recommend that you do not enable the flags in question if you have third-party cookie blocking set.
Consider that Supermium does not have the anti-trackers features of Edge/Firefox (which already uses third-party cookie partitioning).
So ,for better privacy, consider adding filter lists to your ad-blocker that prevent this type of tracking.

P.S. I don't read this thread much if you have specific questions I suggest you post them elsewhere.

Tuta Mail has announced TutaCrypt, a new post-quantum encryption protocol to secure communications from powerful and anticipated decryption attacks.

Tuta Mail is an open-source end-to-end encrypted email service with ten million users. Its creator, Tuta, is based in Germany, where it's involved in developing post-quantum secure cloud storage and file-sharing solutions for the government.

Today, Tuta announced the launch of TutaCrypt, a new protocol designed to protect currently exchanged communications from 'harvest now, decrypt later' attacks......

    More info:

    https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/tuta-mail-adds-new-quantum-resistant-encryption-to-protect-email/

    https://tuta.com/blog/post-quantum-cryptography

Android app not working well (lost connections) so attachments not uploaded and email message not shown in smartphones without Google services.

My wife, who was born in Germany, uses Tuta Mail.

I will probably open a Tuta Mail account as well.

Tuta Mail users were informed of the news via email:

    1.jpg

    P.S.

Notice how I opened Tuta Mail in my PC via Webmail.
I don't think it is possible (those interested can check better) to use the other method,Clients mail.

  6. You are a serial troublemaker, you meddle in all threads to just criticize.
And like the fantastic 4 you act in groups for self-satisfaction.

    You have only 1 quality.
You are good at misrepresenting written words.
You say that the user you chose to attack wrote something he did not in fact write.

I wonder what is the purpose of this?

Probably there is a need for psychological help instead of this group self-therapy of yours.

  7. Audio-Fingerprint is nothing new.

When I was still teaching we carried out a study in collaboration with other European universities.

The few websites that used this form of fingerprinting, naturally in combination with other techniques, have decreased this form of fingerprinting over time.

I still have the test website which is obviously no longer updated and therefore reports an error, but it works:

Personally I think we should actually get rid of the "likes" (as opposed to the addition of "dislikes").

Likes are senseless metrics, they are about consensus (by the masses), not value in absolute terms.

More specifically, I think you guys should be taking some long walks outside instead of insisting on these themes, this stuff is getting old.

    jaclaz

    I support your proposal.
I certainly do not belong to the "like" generation.
And I have just returned from my 15-day vacation in Sharm,so I love the outdoors, the sea,walks......:)

  9. Although Gorhill does not believe that a large number of filters is limiting it is good to consider that in old hardware this impact is significant.
For MSFN members who have these problems, one solution might be to limit the network filter rules in UBO and move some filter lists you cannot give up to the DNS level.

AdGuard DNS,Next DNS,might be right for you.
