  1. I haven't tried Office 2007 Upsourcer yet, I didn't know it also downloads updates... @George King but it requires having Office 2007 installed? @George King
  2. In the tutorial I put this link https://msfn.org/board/topic/181623-updates-office-2007/?do=findComment&comment=1270419 which also contains the direct link to Office 2xxx Upsourcer, because I think the purpose is better understood. But anyway I edit it and add the direct link to the tutorial as well
  3. I have separated manually all the updates for each Office version... Office 2003 - WSUS 9.2.6 Last updated: January 25, 2019 mso_3c7f8301e6d5355728a203600a1f5cfdd80b894a.cab TOTAL SUM: \client\o2k3\esn ---> 0.9 MiB (2 files) Here the EXE downloads called KB975051 and KB2760494 failed. So I downloaded these manually from Microsoft Catalog in .CAB format The question arises as to whether KB975051 is superseded by KB2760494 and whether WSUS will be able to install .CAB files when the original download should have been done in .EXE format. In the download link for KB2760494 there are 41 .CAB files https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB2760494 Only one is valid per language, to find out the language you have to unzip them, right click on properties and look at the details tab which is where the language codes are. \client\o2k3\glb ---> 1,15 MiB (1 file) \client\ofc\esn ---> 44,4 MiB (6 files) \client\ofc\glb ---> 185 MiB (54 files) Office 2007 - WSUS 9.2.6 Last updated: February 02, 2019 mso-x-none_2691005d80512c451fabd2ba8f749718663917f4.cab. The "x-none" variant may be replaced by KB4504702 but the language variant has no replacement and WSUS 11.9.6 downloads an older version from 2015 instead of KB4092435. There are also in Microsoft Catalog the following updates related to SharePoint 2010: KB3101541 KB3101523 KB4484374 KB4493178 KB4504709 KB4486706 KB4486736 Additionally WSUS 9.2.6 downloads the following non-SharePoint related updates and WSUS 11.9.6 does not download them: eqnedt32-es-es_81b08977c22cd2a6ddf751d793a937e4428aa004.cab eqnedt32-es-es_d6c53617acc42be84822ac73d78e520147a676c7.cab filterpack-x-none_da90740686de05d599d7ede6ebf21bfa353b88cc.cab pptview-x-none_eb774085201ebc50a41768a3854a02cbf813bcd1.cab WSUS 9.2.6 download other 10 updates not present in WSUS 11.9.6 but I have verified that these belong to SharePoint 2010: ems-x-none_fe1cf9735d4d4d2d6142565d2a82e0fa0d46ac91.cab grs-x-none_a7e47c42d3c3126884e224a2cc6aa76561a31862.cab grs-x-none_a82e82f5ba989d5095458415c71d682bf5eb5d3c.cab ifswfe-x-none_b0d7c581275fbca0091d34d2ef06dc57da3b4dd8.cab infopath-x-none_46afeac22a88cf78839be5aa89cb41bfcbfd9bf3.cab ppsmawfe-x-none_13e5d94b1c4a448700a3b90497c9117b42d92064.cab spd-x-none_9d415cf8663b5b997adc9ee800574ce139c95048.cab spd-x-none_c38a48ffe54925679c9bb292d2af42d1771fecea.cab svrproof-es-es_c3059d40a7c04502cc04f4cf9e2142dda0c51d69.cab wacproof-es-es_f730e242d5b0bdf24273985fe79665276a3adc9e.cab Finally, I have a question about whether KB2553065 has been replaced. 4. I have created a tutorial with all the conclusions discussed. I hope I have not forgotten any issues. https://msfn.org/board/topic/186436-offline-updates-for-office-200320072010-with-wsus-offline-update-tutorial/
  5. This tutorial was created following the discussion in this other post. https://msfn.org/board/topic/181623-updates-office-2007/page/5/ We will be working with the WSUS Offline Update program. Until 2020 it had current versions and long-term maintenance ESR versions. https://download.wsusoffline.net/ The program is currently only relatively community-maintained with versions up to 2021 called CE with links to GitLab provided on the forum and no current version is compatible with Office 2003/2007/2010. https://gitlab.com/wsusoffline/wsusoffline/-/releases WSUS Offline Update 9.2.6 ESR (2019-11-08) is the latest version with the option to get updates for Office 2003/2007. The download link is not listed on the official page but the download is done from the official server. https://download.wsusoffline.net/wsusoffline926.zip WSUS Offline Update 11.9.6 ESR CE (2020-10-23) is the latest version with the option to get updates for Office 2010 and requires Windows Seven (maybe it works on Vista). https://gitlab.com/-/project/19504919/uploads/20adc1fc933dda0367de405e907da7cd/wsusofflineCE1196.zip STEPS PRIOR TO RUNNING WSUS OFFLINE UPDATE We download WSUS and unzip it to make some modifications prior to its execution. 1- Get WSUS to download old updates without "Secure Hash Algorithm". Using Notepad++ (v. 7.9.2 latest XP compatible) we modified the DownloadUpdates.cmd file in the "cmd" folder by adding "--no-check-certificate" in the following line: -WSUS 9.2.6 line 206 " set DLDR_PATH=..\bin\wget.exe --no-check-certificate" -WSUS 11.9.6 line 261 " set DLDR_PATH=%WGET_PATH% --no-check-certificate" Thanks @AstroSkipper 2- Add pause in the CMD window during the execution of WSUS to get an old wsusscn2.cab version to be pasted into the client/wsus folder. *In the case of WSUS 9.2.6 the last working wsusscn2.cab version is dated 2019-11-13 if you try to work with newer versions thousands of files (13 GiB) are downloaded that do not contain any updates for Microsoft Office, there are others that are not related to Office, such as random updates for Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Seven/10, .NET, etc. but others that are not related to Office such as random updates for Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Seven/10, .NET, etc. To work with an older version of wsusscn2.cab we will modify the following line in the "DownloadUpdates.cmd" file in the "cmd" folder by adding the "pause" command. -WSUS 9.2.6 line 978 -WSUS 11.9.6 line 1168 echo The script has stopped before extracting package.xml from the current wsusscn2.cab file. You can now manually replace it with an older one. pause Thanks @AstroSkipper 3- Add pause to CMD window before creating ISO file to add downloads that fail. We modified the following line in the "CreateISOImage.cmd" file in the "cmd" folder by adding the "pause" command. -WSUS 9.2.6 line 3 -WSUS 11.9.6 line 4 echo The script has been paused before creating the ISO file. Manually add the updates with failed download. pause Thanks @AstroSkipper 4- Get the files needed to run WSUS that are located in the main root bin folder and whose download fails. *There are 2 bin folders, I have not checked if it is also necessary to place them in the other bin folder located in client\bin. I have included them in both folders. -WSUS 9.2.6 \bin mkisofs exe sigcheck exe (v2.30 latest XP supported) http://wayback.archive.org/web/20160618051340/http://skwire.dcmembers.com/apps/sigcheckgui/SigcheckGUI.zip wget exe (the file that comes with WSUS is faulty) (v1.19.4 latest XP supported) https://eternallybored.org/misc/wget/1.19.4/32/wget.exe https://eternallybored.org/misc/wget/ -WSUS 11.9.6 \bin mkisofs exe Also in WSUS 9.2.6 we have to include the static download link for "sigcheck v2.30" inside the file "StaticDownloadLinks-sysinternals.txt" located in the "static" folder, replacing the current one which is not compatible with Windows XP and leaving the file: http://download.sysinternals.com/files/AutoLogon.zip http://wayback.archive.org/web/20160618051340/http://skwire.dcmembers.com/apps/sigcheckgui/SigcheckGUI.zip http://download.sysinternals.com/files/Streams.zip 5- Get static updates for the Office 2010 x64-bit version. Dynamic updates are downloaded in separate .CAB files for the 32-bit and 64-bit versions, but WSUS Offline Update does not have an option to download 64-bit static updates. There are two new .TXT files that go in the \static\custom folder. They contain the links to SP2 x64 and two more files. https://forums.wsusoffline.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9818 *files versions for Office 2010 32-bit are automatically downloaded with WSUS 11.9.6 but are not downloaded with WSUS 9.2.6. NOTES: The steps above also help us to obtain updates for Windows XP or higher (previous versions do not work), .NET Framework and C++ if we check the corresponding options. Updates for .NET Framework: -If we want to avoid .NET updates that are not compatible with a version of Windows, we must exclude them in these 2 files in the "exclude" folder: ExcludeList-dotnet-x32.txt ExcludeList-dotnet-x64.txt For example, to avoid updates that are not compatible with XP, we must edit these 2 files, adding to each one: ndp45- ndp46- ndp47- ndp48- * the final dash is part of the text of the name of the excluded file. We must take into account that for any language, several files are also downloaded in German, such as "dotnetfx35langpack_x86de exe", which must be replaced manually with the corresponding one for our language or the following two files in the "static" folder must be modified, replacing the links in German: StaticDownloadLinks-dotnet-x32-glb.txt StaticDownloadLinks-dotnet-x64-glb.txt -All .NET Framework installers included in the two previous files and any additional language packs that are also included will be downloaded. In no WSUS Update Offline version is there a link to download the .NET Framework 1.1 installer, from which its updates are downloaded. Updates for Windows XP: -We must take into account that WSUS Offline Update 9.2.6 includes the updates for the XP Embedded version, if we do not want to download them we have to use WSUS 9.2.5. -The WindowsXP-KB968930-x86 file is downloaded in the UK English language version (ENG), if we want it in our language we have to replace it. *IMPORTANT: I have not checked, if After adding files with names not contained in the wsusscn2.cab downloads, if you run UpdateInstaller exe to install the updates, these new files are installed. FINAL STEPS AFTER PREVIOUS MODIFICATIONS After the previous steps... 1- Check that we have the files necessary to run WSUS in these folders \bin \client\bin \cmd \static Do not add the other downloads that fail yet, as they may not do so and the pasted files may be deleted during the download. 2- Paste the current wsusscn2.cab version in the client\wsus folder or let it download automatically when WSUS is run. 3- Run UpdateGenerator exe Uncheck all options except "ISO" and optionally Service Packs. Choose our desired latest update download and press "Start". The downloads performed are not linked to the operating system from which WSUS Offline Update is run or to whether we have one or another Microsoft Office version installed. These are independent, if the downloads number varies from one operating system to another it is due to an error in the program. 4- Paste an older wsusscn2.cab version when the message appears. (the message appears if you have "Pause" enabled in DownloadUpdates.cmd) For WSUS 9.2.6 for Office 2003 and 2007, version 2019-04-07 is recommended (the oldest version that contains all the updates) http://web.archive.org/web/20190420162709/http://download.windowsupdate.com/microsoftupdate/v6/wsusscan/wsusscn2.cab For WSUS 9.2.6 for Office 2010, version 2019-11-13 is recommended (the last version that works with WSUS 9.2.6). This does not contain the latest updates for Office 2010, if we want to get them it has to be from WSUS Offline Update 11.9.6 which is not compatible with Windows XP. http://web.archive.org/web/20191209214827/http://download.windowsupdate.com/microsoftupdate/v6/wsusscan/wsusscn2.cab For WSUS 11.9.6 for Office 2010, version 2023-11-14 (581 MiB) is recommended http://web.archive.org/web/20231114200328/http://download.windowsupdate.com/microsoftupdate/v6/wsusscan/wsusscn2.cab as the file is 215 MiB smaller than the older version that contains all updates for Office 2010 from 2021-04-13 (796 MiB) http://web.archive.org/web/20210504233947/http://download.windowsupdate.com/microsoftupdate/v6/wsusscan/wsusscn2.cab WSUS 9.2.6 running from Windows Seven asks for 800 dynamic downloads for Office 2003/2007. From Windows XP searching for updates for Office 2003/2007 may fail and WSUS 9.2.6 will ask for 2529 downloads. The error is due to the file "ExcludeList-superseded.txt" not being created correctly in the "exclude" folder. Once the problem is corrected WSUS 9.2.6 will also ask for 800 downloads from XP. You should check if the "ExcludeList-superseded.txt" file in the "exclude" folder is not empty after WSUS 9.2.6 checks the current "wsusscn2.cab" version. In this case, close the CMD download window but do not close the WSUS program, paste a correct copy of "ExcludeList-superseded.txt" and press Start again. If it fails, try repeating the process until it works. Sometimes everything fails, restart Windows and try again. The "ExcludeList-superseded.txt" file can be extracted by searching for other updates than Office 2003/2007 with WSUS 9.2.6. With Office 2010 from WSUS 9.2.6 there is no such problem, although more files are also downloaded than with WSUS 11.9.6, since dynamic updates contain updates for all Office versions that the WSUS version supports. 6- Look in the log for the failed downloads when the message to burn ISO appears. Open the download.log file located in the log folder and look for the links that say "failed". The correct file location folder is just above the "failed" message indicating the path to the folder. 7- Get the files whose download failed and paste them into the corresponding folders before creating the ISO file. (make a copy in a separate folder beforehand because these may disappear if we run WSUS again and it is not configured correctly) If many files appear with the error failed (more than 6 approx.) you should stop the operation and go back to step 4. So many failed downloads means that the connection has failed and some of these are actually available, you should try to download them again by running WSUS again. It is also possible that we have not added the "--no-check-certificate" command in the DownloadUpdates.cmd file. In my opinion, it is a good idea to delete the log before starting the process again to have a clean text or save the previous one as an old copy. 8- Before creating the ISO file, check if the text "unknow error" appears in the log. This means a connection error or similar during update downloads. In this case, we must stop the operation and return to step 4 (run UpdateGenerator.exe again) until the error disappears. 9- Continue with the ISO creation. *Remember that dynamic updates are downloaded for all Office versions that contain a WSUS Offline Update option, even if only Office 2003 (v.11), 2007 (v.12) or 2010 (v.14) is selected, updates for Office 2013 (v.15) and Office 2016/2019/2021 (all v.16) will be downloaded. If we only want updates for Office 2010 we have to open all the .CAB files one by one and see which version appears in the .XML file. 10- Before installing updates for Office 2007/2010 on XP with UpdateInstaller.exe it is necessary to first install the "Office 2xxx Upsourcer" patch with its prerequisites so that they are compatible with XP. https://msfn.org/board/topic/181623-updates-office-2007/?do=findComment&comment=1270419
  6. The following updates for Office 2010 are in the Microsoft Catalog between 2019 and 2021, are not superseded, and are not downloaded with any WSUS version: KB4092435 --> powerpointintl (language variant) KB4092435 --> powerpoint-x-none Each .cab file has its version for x86 and x64. The variant "x-none" might be superseded by KB4493179 but the language variant has no replacement and WSUS 11.9.6 downloads a old version from the year 2015. There are also in Microsoft Catalog the following updates related to SharePoint 2010: KB3101541 KB3101523 KB4484374 KB4493178 KB4504709 KB4486706 KB4486736 Additionally WSUS 9.2.6 downloads the following non-SharePoint related updates and WSUS 11.9.6 does not download them: eqnedt32-es-es_81b08977c22cd2a6ddf751d793a937e4428aa004.cab eqnedt32-es-es_d6c53617acc42be84822ac73d78e520147a676c7.cab filterpack-x-none_da90740686de05d599d7ede6ebf21bfa353b88cc.cab pptview-x-none_eb774085201ebc50a41768a3854a02cbf813bcd1.cab WSUS 9.2.6 download other 10 updates not present in WSUS 11.9.6 but I have verified that these belong to SharePoint 2010: ems-x-none_fe1cf9735d4d4d2d6142565d2a82e0fa0d46ac91.cab grs-x-none_a7e47c42d3c3126884e224a2cc6aa76561a31862.cab grs-x-none_a82e82f5ba989d5095458415c71d682bf5eb5d3c.cab ifswfe-x-none_b0d7c581275fbca0091d34d2ef06dc57da3b4dd8.cab infopath-x-none_46afeac22a88cf78839be5aa89cb41bfcbfd9bf3.cab ppsmawfe-x-none_13e5d94b1c4a448700a3b90497c9117b42d92064.cab spd-x-none_9d415cf8663b5b997adc9ee800574ce139c95048.cab spd-x-none_c38a48ffe54925679c9bb292d2af42d1771fecea.cab svrproof-es-es_c3059d40a7c04502cc04f4cf9e2142dda0c51d69.cab wacproof-es-es_f730e242d5b0bdf24273985fe79665276a3adc9e.cab Finally, I have a question about whether KB2553065 has been replaced. 7. I have been working normally with this hard drive in MBR mode for more than a year with the oldest adapter USB Logilink AU0028 (without letter "A"). The problem is that the newest adapter versions are only able to correctly detect up to 4 TB. Examining the adapter inside I see that Logilink is a brand and that the circuit is made by a different manufacturer. In the past I updated the firmware and the maximum admitted in MBR decreased from 4 TB to 2 TB.
  8. I have separated all the updates for each Office version... Office 2003 - WSUS 9.2.6 Last updated: January 25, 2019 mso_3c7f8301e6d5355728a203600a1f5cfdd80b894a.cab \client\o2k3\esn ---> 0.9 MiB (2 files) Here the EXE downloads called KB975051 and KB2760494 failed. \client\o2k7\esn ---> 0 MiB (0 files) \client\o2k7\glb ---> 31,1 MiB (1 file) \client\ofc\esn ---> 37,2 MiB (1 file) \client\ofc\glb ---> 244 MiB (72 files) For both Office 2003 and 2007, wsusscn2.cab April 7, 2019 contains all the updates http://web.archive.org/web/20190420162709/http://download.windowsupdate.com/microsoftupdate/v6/wsusscan/wsusscn2.cab Office 2010 - WSUS 11.9.6 Lastest updateds: March 29, 2021 eurotool-x-none_885b82109f6f78b089b06b7a6ad55af6ff79d638.cab eurotool-x-none_906ee27c30c8690d93fe2b0bd9d4fdee341a8948.cab excel-x-none_de35c132d26dbd69507f5c763c4887ef9e73c9cc.cab excel-x-none_6007c67b702757641cd79f59e140ba776cd94fe4.cab graph-x-none_be8ca296e89c8abacc3dc8b3abeb5fd991b83d72.cab graph-x-none_3e8b01e5c75e0ae33b431d75d04d3de2f37083fa.cab kb2428677-x-none_1c049b4e61ae15d57a9ff607665a772b6c67b148.cab kb2428677-x-none_b1c97330bc6cfe6420e4ef4a06b4743177df1cc8.cab mso-x-none_1dbd1195d2cee9e1f3774e34d33cc4b08d1ef3a9.cab mso-x-none_fd62b327b8eb581dc7c2d0558d69616a5822e8d5.cab outlook-x-none_175b4c933d836bf83a51312bd827bd93c4234fd6.cab outlook-x-none_f3d90a0bb272f29ff2123250b27f993d40452bf0.cab word-x-none_4d68930cfcb3c0418baee358772c90310eee668b.cab word-x-none_9222069b99271748df851edd0e29605c9fc391c9.cab \client\o2k10\esn ---> 0 MiB (0 files) \client\o2k10\glb ---> 206 MiB (4 files) (x86+x64) \client\ofc\esn ---> 13,4 MiB (18 files) \client\ofc\glb ---> 410 MiB (73 files) Here I use the latest wsusscn2.cab version and it seems strange to me that several updates that do download with WSUS 9.2.6 disappear, such as "svrproof-es-es" and "wacproof-es-es" (there are versions for each language). For Office 2010 with WSUS 11.9.6 is possible to use the current wsusscn2.cab version or the following ones: 2021-04-13 size 796 MiB ---> Contains the latest updates for Office 2010. http://web.archive.org/web/20210504233947/http://download.windowsupdate.com/microsoftupdate/v6/wsusscan/wsusscn2.cab 2023-11-14 size 581 MiB ---> Contains more later updates unrelated to Office 2010, but is smaller in size. http://web.archive.org/web/20231114200328/http://download.windowsupdate.com/microsoftupdate/v6/wsusscan/wsusscn2.cab
  9. Thanks @user57. It's a good idea to install on XP all Office 2010 updates downloaded with WSUS 11.9.6 In any case I would like to get it with WSUS 9.2.6, however I have not yet managed to do so. Clarifying: -The last wsusscn2.cab version, compatible with WSUS 9.2.6 and the Office option, is dated November 13, 2019. -If I try to download with higher wsusscn2.cab versions the UpdateTable-ofc-glb.csv file will contain links to downloads not related to Office. -The last update for Office 2010 is dated March 29, 2021. So I'm trying to get WSUS 9.2.6 to download the latest updates for Office 2010 but I'm failing. -I have tried to paste the UpdateTable-ofc-glb.csv file from WSUS 11.9.6 but it has no effect, it seems that the CSV source creation should be attacked, perhaps the package.xml file. -I have also tried to paste several config files from WSUS 11.9.6 into WSUS, 9.2.6, such as the "exclude" folder, and the result is that nothing is downloaded. -Another possibility would be to manually paste the updates downloaded with WSUS 11.9.6 into WSUS 9.2.6 And here I have a doubt... If I copy/paste the updates not contained in wsusscn2.cab into the folders, the ISO file is created with them. But will these be installed when running the ISO file? The doubt arises because I don't understand why the ISO file contains a wsusscn2.cab copy. Does that mean that the ISO will only install the updates contained within its wsusscn2.cab and ignore other updates contained in its folders?
  10. Thanks to the fact that it was a great night today I realized: -The reason why Windows XP downloads 2529 updates with WSUS 9.2.6 for Office 2003/2007/2010 while Windows Seven downloads 800 is because the ExcludeList-superseded.txt file with the superseded updates has not been created correctly. -The trick that worked for me is to run WSUS 9.2.6 and wait for the 2529 updates to start downloading. Then stop the downloads by closing the window but without closing the program. Paste the file ExcludeList-superseded.txt extracted from running WSUS 9.2.6 looking for updates for Windows XP. And now press the "Start" button again, then Windows XP will also download 800 updates for Office 2003/2007/2010. What I am not quite sure about yet is what the names are for. like: -windows6.0-kb954155-x86_fe83b5246c5776f212401ff95622eebd2296b22c.cab -windows6.1-kb3029944-x64_d2ea9a44684296df100eb67cc213b37d11857d6c.cab -windows8.1-kb3076949-x86_f8ebb9b1635669cb8f12d65c39454273a849f629.ca b -windows8-rt-kb2894851-x86_f88f86042b291ec1ed93dfc96a594d5c9733474a.cab -windows10.0-kb4532938-x64-ndp48_d0049f1a78b9bdf166dbfce457310dd30e65dfc5.cab -ndp20sp1-kb2530095-ia64_fe4ae2ebd33011dc3138965f7e0635c7aebfcfbd exe -ndp45-kb4014599-x64_f97a3de2f8ba2a800ffab4889f1619b5731a0ce2 exe -pciclearstalecache_d243a607b50db10ed50f03cff570498018c61a59 exe -vpc2004x86-kb969856_d6a880979c3289bb22bb0d6e84a8bb1d5fcd155e exe They don't make sense!!! Can they be deleted without problems? Edit 1: I have tried WSUSSCN2.CAB dated April 6, 2019 and now no files outside Office 2003/2007 are no longer downloaded. So the cause is to use wsusscn2.cab current as @AstroSkipper commented. The problem is reflected in the file generated in \client\ofc\UpdateTable-ofc-glb.csv which contains all those updates that have nothing to do with office. Anyway, they seem too many downloads "Dinamically Updates" = 689 files. While @AstroSkipper reports 572 files. Several files are downloaded for all languages despite pointing only Spanish. With wsusscn2.cab from July 14, 2020, Office 2003-2007-2010 updates also do not work correctly with WSUS 9.2.6 For them to work, you have to use a wsusscn2.cab file prior to that date, I still don't know which is the latest. Another option is to download the Office 2010 updates with WSUS 11.9.6 and then paste them into WSUS 9.2.6 before creating the ISO file. When I said before that when selecting Office 2010 the Office 2007 updates were not downloaded, it was because I was using WSUS 11.9.6, sorry. Anyway, I still don't understand why WSUS can't separate the downloads of the Office versions. Edit 2: The last version WSUSSCN2.CAB known compatible WSUS 9.2.6 with option Office 2003/2007/2010 is dated November, 13, 2019. It has 693 dynamically updated in the ofc folder http://web.archive.org/web/20191209214827/http://download.windowsupdate.com/microsoftupdate/v6/wsusscan/wsusscn2.cab WSUSSCN2.CAB from January, 14, 2020, already makes strange downloads and has the file UpdateTable-ofc-glb.csv with much smaller size.
  11. OK, I'll now go with Office 2007 v12 from XP. I don't quite understand why if I check Office 2010, higher versions are downloaded and not the other way around. That loads us with unnecessary updates for those of us who don't use programs that aren't compatible with Windows XP. I've checked all the Office 2010 updates one by one. The last one is dated March 29, 2021, so you can delete the ones with a higher date if deleting these updates for higher versions doesn't affect Office 2010.
  12. I don't have the folder client\wddefs and the folder client\msse in any installation. Windows XP x86 with WSUS 9.2.1 (without.NET): Size and number of files in the folder client\win\esn: 33.1 MB and 19 files Size and number of files in the folder client\win\glb: 103 MB and 5 files Size and number of files in the folder client\wxp\esn: 392 MB and 296 files Size and number of files in the folder client\wxp\glb: 10.7 MB and 4 files Windows XP x86 with WSUS 9.2.5 (without.NET): Size and number of files in the folder client\win\esn: 33.1 MB and 19 files Size and number of files in the folder client\win\glb: 102 MB and 3 files Size and number of files in the folder client\wxp\esn: 268 MB and 189 files Size and number of files in the folder client\wxp\glb: 10.3 MB and 3 files Windows XP x86 with WSUS 9.2.6 (without.NET): Size and number of files in the folder client\win\esn: 33.1 MB and 19 files Size and number of files in the folder client\win\glb: 102 MB and 3 files Size and number of files in the folder client\wxp\esn: 408 MB and 304 files Size and number of files in the folder client\wxp\glb: 10.3 MB and 3 files Windows XP x86 with WSUS 9.2.6 option .NET & C++: Size and number of files in the folder client\cpp: 41.6 MB and 6 files (erased 6 files x64) Size and number of files in the folder client\dotnet: 302 MB and 3 files (I additionally include .Net 1.1 installer) Size and number of files in the folder client\dotnet\x86-glb: 680 MB and 96 files Size and number of files in the folder client\win\esn: 33.1 MB and 19 files Size and number of files in the folder client\win\glb: 102 MB and 3 files Size and number of files in the folder client\wxp\esn: 408 MB and 304 files Size and number of files in the folder client\wxp\glb: 10.3 MB and 3 files Office 2010 x86 only with WSUS 11.9.6 (wsusscn2.cab 2024-07-09): Size and number of files in the folder client\o2k10\esn: 0 files (without SP2) Size and number of files in the folder client\o2k10\glb: 101 MB and 2 files Size and number of files in the folder client\ofc\esn: 19.6 MB and 24 files Size and number of files in the folder client\ofc\glb: 5.11 GB and 220 files Office 2010 x86+x64 with WSUS 11.9.6 (wsusscn2.cab 2024-07-11): Size and number of files in the folder client\o2k10\esn: 0 file (without SP2) Size and number of files in the folder client\o2k10\glb: 825 MB and 4 file Size and number of files in the folder client\ofc\esn: 19.6 MB and 24 files Size and number of files in the folder client\ofc\glb: 5.11 GB and 220 files to be continue
  13. Can you give an example? As much as I look in that folder I don't see any XML that includes v12.xxxx.xxxx If I only check the Office 2010 option. client\ofc\glb only includes v14, 15 and 16.
  14. I continue checking and clarifying issues... I think it's a good idea to include sigcheck 2.30 in WSUS (last version compatible with XP) despite having certificate checking disabled. When trying to download XP updates from Windows Seven with WSUS 9.2.1, after including sigcheck 2.30, Silverlight was downloaded correctly and new updates were added. When trying the same thing in WSUS 9.2.5 and 9.2.6 I haven't seen any change. Silverlight is not downloaded either and I don't see any additional downloads. It's not possible to add sigcheck exe manually, since WSUS overwrites it with the newer version. To do this, you have to replace the second link in StaticDownloadLinks-sysinternals.txt with http://wayback.archive.org/web/20160618051340/http://skwire.dcmembers.com/apps/sigcheckgui/SigcheckGUI.zip It was difficult to find, more info here: https://forums.wsusoffline.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5556 Regarding the virus possibility that they raise in the last post, I have checked with Virus Total that it does not have viruses. Another thing that surprises me is that the ExcludeList-superseded.txt file has a different size in WSUS 9.2.1 despite being extracted from the latest version of wsusscn2.cab. (1928 kiB in 9.2.1 vs 1911 KiB in 9.2.5 & 9.2.6) On the other hand, for Office 2010 I have added that the 64-bit version is also downloaded. With this option only a few more files are added. The option has to be added manually: https://forums.wsusoffline.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9818 However, comparing the files downloaded without the x86 option and with the x64 option, I see that there is a file that is different and has the same name. @AstroSkipper, can you confirm the size of "visio-x-none_66663ddb7d95b65660099ff4231f635b1aceb8e3.cab". On x86 I have a size of 40,960 KiB and on x64 a size of 182,520 KiB EDIT: There is no need to check, the .CAB file is corrupted and the error is not in the log. This is why it is good to run WSUS twice before creating the ISO.
  15. Yes, I didn't check the Service Packs option... I'll write a files comparison later. I didn't know this about XP Office 2010 compatibility. Please, a link with explanation is this? https://msfn.org/board/topic/177946-beware-of-office-2010-updates/ There is a lot of information in the link. Could you summarize what it means that Office 2010 is not compatible with Windows XP? Does that mean that updates are not applied or what does that mean? I see that there is a patch in the link. Is this so that updates can be installed or is it to create an Office 2010 with integrated updates? Thanks.
  16. If the o2k7 folder is empty and the client\ofc\glb files are for Office 2010 or higher... I can't understand that downloads there are for Office 2007!!! Where are these stored?
  17. The updates download for XPx64 with .NET was successful by copy/paste ExcludeList-superseded.txt last version. However, I was unable to download the updates for XP x86 with .NET. I tried several times and ExcludeList-superseded.txt was deleted after pasting it during the "pause", leaving it empty or deleted. Both things happened. As I see that this depends on the weather , I decided to postpone it for the next day, when everything worked correctly. It also seems that it depends on chance that the error appears in the log: "failed: Unknown error." For example: 2024-08-02 22:09:12,83 - Info: Downloaded/validated 2 statically defined updates for dotnet x86-glb failed: Unknown error. failed: Unknown error. 2024-08-02 22:15:09,45 - Info: Downloaded/validated 14 statically defined updates for wxp esn failed: Unknown error. failed: Unknown error. And that some downloads are not carried out. The latter is solved by repeating the process again until it works. What is your file numbers? The size changes with the language... Running from XP WSUS 9.2.6, sizes and number of files after completing a few failed downloads and deleting a few invalid ones XP x86 with .NET client\cpp: 41.6 MiB (6 files) client\dotnet: 982 MiB (99 files) client\win: 135 MiB (22 files) client\wxp: 418 MiB (307 files) XP x64 with .NET client\cpp: 46 MiB (6 files) client\dotnet: 1,09 GiB (63 files) client\win: 108 MiB (3 files) client\w2k3-x64: 682 MiB (241 files) The wxp folder size is very different. In the dotnet folder I don't have downloads for NDP48 (only 1.1SP1; 2.0SP2; 3.0SP2; 3.5SP1 and 4.0) I have compared the number of files with my Service Pack 4 for Spanish XP and my list of .NET updates, both manually performed. The files mostly match, with less than 5 files difference, I still don't know which ones, but for example KB824151 and KB841533 that WSUS downloads are obsolete.
  18. I am running WSUS 9.2.6 XP64 with .NET & C++ right now and it is working fine. The Excludelist-Supersed.txt file I paste when you script says pause. If I paste it before it is replaced by the empty version. I am using the latest version wsusscn2.cab and its extracted Excludelist-Supersed.txt file from running WSUS 9.2.6 looking for XP updates without .NET
  19. Sorry, but I'm surprised , in the post you say that on April 17, 2021 you downloaded updates for that month, https://msfn.org/board/topic/181259-slipstreaming-all-mso-2010-updates/?do=findComment&comment=1198438 and before that on March 9, 2021 you say updates for today. https://msfn.org/board/topic/181259-slipstreaming-all-mso-2010-updates/?do=findComment&comment=1196828
  20. Can you confirm that the latest updates for Office 2010 are coming out on this date? Thanks
  21. I'm going to do it again for .Net. For Office, you have any link with WSUSSCN2.CAB from 2021?
  22. Office 2010 at least April 9, 2021 https://msfn.org/board/topic/181259-slipstreaming-all-mso-2010-updates/?do=findComment&comment=1196828 About Office 2007 I read it in other post...
  23. Official support vs. End of updates (is different) Office 2007 support 2017-10-10 End of updates 2018-04 2019-02 Office 2010 support 2020-10-23 End of updates 2021-04 I have verified all the superseded links for NDP40 contained within "Excludelist-Supersed.txt" (1911 kib) downloaded in 2024-07-31 with the latest version WSUSSCN2.CAB (2024-07-11). I was afraid that there would be KB replaced by versions for Windows NT 6.x that were not compatible with XP. But the links are correct. I recommend using this version for XP with .NET option, you just have to make a copy/paste And I think that after running WSUS is not replaced by the empty file. *Only in XP 64 the links for ndp40-kb3072309-x64_346f3daad482494db68bbd8935b0764dc8235174.exe must be eliminated on the list, since it is officially only superseded in x86. Although according to this post it is replaced by KB4014605 w2003 CSA version. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/repack-net-framework-aio-for-windows-xp-server-2003-2024-04-10.85522/page-2#post-1790237
  24. I already had created an update list for XP (SP4 in Spanish that I have never published) and for .NET Framework that can be seen here https://msfn.org/board/topic/151424-net-framework-for-windows-nt-5x-2000xp2003/?do=findComment&comment=1244701 WSUS 9.2. Option Office 2003 & 2007 @LORPAL My motivations to use WSUS offline update is to get updates for Office 2000-XP-2003-2007-2010 a suite that I no longer use but that I might need at any time. The matter is difficult, I found ISOs at archive.org with updates that included from Office 2003 to Office 2013. Why do I want them? I wondered, especially because Office 2013 is not compatible with XP. So the mission impossible to get the loose updates for each version of Office began. Now immersed in this impossible mission I finally notice and read this within the Wsus Menu 9.2.6: Office 2003-2010 (OFC) "If you select an office product above, Dinamically determined updates for office 2003 - 2010 will be included automatically" So it seems that it is impossible to get those isolated updates with WSUS. Entering the moment of the mission: Great @AstroSkipper that we are getting slightly newer versions of WSUSSCN2.cab, but not too much. In Office 2003 & 2007 if WSUSSCN2.CAB is used, what happens is that hundreds of files are downloaded, although they do not appear it could be Office updates for all Windows versions, and as I mentioned before, they contain updates for different versions of Office The strange thing is that using the latest version of WSUSSCN2.Cab the updates downloaded are different if WSUS 9.2.6 are executed in XP (2529 updates) and in seven (800 updates). However, thanks to @AstroSkipper, I have proven that using WSUSSCN2.CAB from 2019 the updates downloaded from XP are much less and contain a name that resembles an Office update more than to an update of Windows Seven or 10. Perhaps to limit further to Office 2003 and 2007, a WSUSSCN2.CAB 2017 version should be used, which @AstroSkipper has also facilitated. If with WSUS 11.9.6 the updates for Office 2010 are discharged, the size reaches 13 GIB. So it is easy to think that it not only contains updates for Office 2010. And there is the question of checking if these updates can be installed on Windows XP, in any of the aforementioned Office. The 2007 Office download with WSUSSCN2.CAB from 2019 contains updates of March 2019, when theoretically they have been discontinued since 2017. So yes, it seems impossible.
  25. I copied and pasted ExcludeList-superseded.txt with 1640 KiB and ran WSUS with the latest wsusscn2.cab with the "Cleanup download directories" option. Now 290 updates are downloaded instead of 559 and the folder finally has 303 updates left. You can try the updated version for XP (without .NET) of ExcludeList-superseded.txt or download this version from 2020-July (latest SHA-1) that they say works from Windows 2000 to Seven. https://archive.org/details/wsusscn2 It's funny that according to Microsoft the new version works since 2007-March https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/a-new-version-of-the-windows-update-offline-scan-file-wsusscn2-cab-is-available-for-advanced-users-fe433f4d-44f4-28e3-88c5-5b22329c0a08 But we are already checking that it doesn't work... What I don't know is if we copy and paste the version for XP without .NET if it will have .NET since I am seeing that the version of ExcludeList-superseded.txt is different for each option checked.
