  1. I just happend to come across this Yahoo Group Located Here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AutoItList/ In the files section I came across an AutoIT Script Maker, which I must say worked flawlessly when I did a simple test. Just something that I thought would be helpful.....especially for anyone too lazy to learn the language themselves. Goodluck!
  2. I dont mean any offense to anyone here......but all Norton and Mcafee Products are basically what newbies use. They are fat resource hogs that make the program look great and new. This is exactly what makes it appeal to people.....shinny buttons and a nice GUI. However, if you do just about any research, you will find out that infact those products are at the very bottom when It comes to detecting Viris. Personally, I use Kaspersky, but also reccomend NOD32.
  3. As I said, quote it....You still failed to do that which also leads me to believe you didnt read my post correctly, which thus proves my point about you failing to read my other previous post before. Im sure huneyman appreciates your wonderful on topic information yourself .
  4. Wow guys.....Install for Bit Tornado (And Shad0ws old client) has and always will be /S ......LOL
  5. If you would like to quote me where I flamed anyone, I would be glad to see it and apologize. Until then, your not a moderator....So stop acting like one. IF you have something relevant to contribute to the thread, go ahead. Until then, I dont reccomend getting into conversations like this in someone elses thread.
  6. Yeah, go ahead and try to execute an AutoIT or VBS Script at that time haha
  7. Kids like pictures because apparently they cant read.
  8. First and foremost (This is annoying to tell EVERYONE who ever posts their winnt.sif)....... OemPreinstall=Yes <------- YOU MUST make that change.
  9. AutoIT does anything you want....It clicks any button, clicks any checkbox, enters any serial #....it does whatever you want. INCREDIBLY rarely can it not do what your looking for (this is something ive never run into).
  10. Thats what im talking about, it looks like Its functioning fine, but gives an error message, because its getting power but not plugged in the correct way. You should do a bit of research because obviously you are new to home computer building. Also, why are you looking for an alternative to the driver pack? They ARE the solution to your problem.
  11. uhhhh use your manufactuers restore discs....but can someone please tell me what the hell this has to do with unattended installations smart one?
  12. Wow....I would make sure thats ok with Best Buy first... but if there arent switchs (which I HIGHLY doubt their are) The ONLY solution is an AutoIT Script.
  13. On a differnet note, you mentioned that your floppy doesnt seem to be functioning. This is a very common error. You see, the floppy cable (the IDE looking cable) that goes to the motherboard...can be plugged in MANY ways....BUT....there is only ONE in which it will work properly. Considering this is the first time you have built a computer, this is a VERY Common mistake. Cheers....and goodluck.
  14. Man theres a lot of international people on this forum .... Anyhoo..... I suggest using RyanVM's SP2 Update Pack, instead of messing with all that crap.
  15. Tip Asta: Dont Post your CD-Key In The Script
  16. That would be awesome! Please do! Thanks for your contribution.
  17. totoymola: This guy is confusing as hell: He said he would try it on simpel software when we told him that he should just use switchs on simple ones. And about that VMware statement we dont know if he means hes gonna try an installrite package with it or try his installrite package with vmware.
  18. saitoh: Your missing the whole point of repackaging software. The whole point is a last resort. Install switchs are first priority because they were made FROM the maker of the software, for that exact purpose. Its also typically very simple, thats why they are typically their. If that doesnt work, I always just make an AutoIT Script, however, even that can be fussy for some people or for me at points. Soooo if all those fail, I move to Installrite, which has never failed me.
  19. well ummm knowing installshield, you DID try the record method with the setup.iss correct?
  20. I myself made an installright package that worked perfectly. I tried this program for hours and even attempted to make an AutoIT Script of the program and enter the registration manually. I got tired of it all and just used installright, and I must say it worked perfectly.
  21. Installright takes a snapshot of everything, then you do your install, then takes another snapshot, and compares the two. If theres anything you should not trust its your own computer. Of course, if your running multiple programs, something is bound to show up that you didnt expect.
  22. Dont worry, higher post quantity does not equal higher intellegence.
  23. Installrite can be used at any time. It doesnt madder when, because either way it works.
  24. I've seen this before in even other installers for just installing them....even when there IS a silent switch, the vendor customized the installer to have a popup asking if you were sure you wanted to install the software. My Suggestions would be an attempt with autoit, especially considering you must press the checkmark to push yes. Just WinWaitActive("Stamps.com"), followed by a ControlClick on the checkbox, and then on the yes button.
