  1. Turn off "use native blur rendering" option, it's not meant to be used.
  2. Yes it could, though I'm not sure how the autocolor option would work with that
  3. @Dakotahnorth: you can as well go from DX9.1 and test each mode up to the level your GPU supports. Be aware though that if you change into a mode your GPU doesn't support (e.g. 10.1 on a 10.0 card), you will be stuck in a blank screen. For me it reset after a hard reboot. Which leads me to a suggestion: isn't it possible to query the supported DX versions and only show those in the dropdown list?
  4. I guess people are just jumping onto it without considering the "for experienced testers only" part. If you are not comfortable with editing the registry and system files, do NOT touch this! System restore is way too overkill to undo a registry change, but if they messed up something theme related, it's the way to go.
  5. Just tried that and my theme doesn't have a "[Control Panel\Colors]" section, only Desktop and Cursors. I tried exporting that registry key and copying the values and it doesn't work. No matter what I change inside the theme file, no changes are made to the appearance after I switch to this theme.Could you please post the exact lines you have to change the window active/inactive title?
  6. You are probably using native blur method. Yes, that's what I wrote ^^ Is this behavior "intended"?
  7. The above .net error is triggered by setting the custom resource option, then changing native blur setting. I had to untick the custom resource then tick it again for it to go away. Though it's weird cause it doesn't happen all the time.
  8. I noticed some weird behavior with respect to the taskbar. I'm currently using the 0.85 version and when I move a window over the taskbar it "draws" aftershadows over it. They go away upon forcing a refresh, for example by trying to take a screenshot of those artifacts or hovering over a taskbar icon. It is triggered by "use native blur rendering" for me.
  9. I am using the RTM theme actually, the inactive color is still stuck at black... or rather, some weird color that varies from black to white depending on the coloring setting I set in the personalizing dialogue. I managed to get the colors to look decent enough for me, for now. The internal builds are probably much further ahead by now anyway so...
  10. I don't know if testing is still needed, but here are my results anyway. Running win8 x64 on an older laptop with a 8600m GT, using the AGTweaker 1.2.2/DWMHook 0.8 (is that the latest public build?) Had to fiddle around with rendering modes until it worked - currently working in DX9.1 mode. DX10.0 mode only has two states, opaque and total transparency without blur. I don't know if it's an AGT bug, but the inactive color doesn't work for me at all, no matter which I choose the inactive color stays black. Taskbar follows active color correctly though. Also, changing settings for blur/transparency sometimes lead to a black screen after applying them, usually if I do it repeatedly. Looking forward to the finished product.
