  1. try to edit the registry file and patch TCP.sys, uncheck: Turn off for power saving on your NIC hardware
  2. If http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545 still don't work, try this: Right click -> My Computer -> Advanced -> Startup and Recovery -> Click on Settings -> Edit: [boot loader] timeout=1 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect Save & Restart PC.
  3. If you're trying to repair this from the same OS, try reinstall new OS to see if it happens the same issue. Check your CMOS settings make sure Onboard Audio still ON. (Make sure you have correct drivers ofcourse) If you've done all these steps and still cannot resolve it, you need to contact Manufacturer to RMA it. Viruses and spywares does not attack SOUND AUDIO, this is hardware and driver issues.
  4. Usually, the HDD had 2 partitions when you bought the computer, if you reformatted the HDD without deleting the Partition then install XP on C drive use restore program to restore the Restore_Vista data on the restore partition (Restore Drive). Now you can have Vista back. BUT >>>>>>>>>>>>> IF you deleted both Partitions (not original pc that you bought anymore) then sorry there is NO WAY you can have it back, if you deleted the partitions with PartitionImage 8 then you can restore partition using PM8 again. WILL NOT ABLE TO RESTORE PARTITION IF YOU DELETED FROM XP MANAGE. Goodluck
  5. Try this: 1. Make sure turn on Files & Printers SHARE on both A & B. 2. Turn off Firewall or open port on your LAN in windows firewall exeptions. 3. Change workgroup on both A & B as the same domain name: (example: workgroup) or you can use Network ID wizard, Vista will helps you to enable share File & Printer. 4. Ping your from B to A. (start - run - type: cmd then type ping A local IP (example A IP: ping 192.168.1.10), if you getting all reply means B contact A direct connection. 5. Reboot A+B and unshare/re-share A printer again to see if it works. Simple way to share from WinXP (just enable Use Simple File Sharing) Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> checkmark at the very bottom.
  6. Oh NO sorry to hear that, i hate this board issues when i used to fix my customer PC. There was so many problem with this board, not only the driver, BIOS itself too. Here what i did, hope it helps: 1. Update the latest BIOS (reset Default) then restart. 2. Enter CMOS again to reconfigure your settings ...ect. reboot. 3. Make sure remove any USB storages... (USB external HDD, USB FLashDrive...ect) 4. Enter CMOS again to choose boot option -> choose your Primary boot HDD. Disable any USB boot. If you're running RAID onboard i recommend NOT, because it will boot RAID as primary before IDE boot doesn't matter you change IDE as primary boot. Otherwise you will get the blue screen like... check your hardware contact vendor ... blah blah blah. (i know that's stupid) i think ASUS knows the problem but not sure they have the new BIOS firmware to fix that yet. Try that, goodluck! Oh by the way, older BIOS version also errors when you remove/add HDD, you also need to reconfigure your CMOS settings after add/remove hard drives.
  7. Make sure you have correct driver for your SATA or RAID. (or your driver folder missing some other files) Extract all files from the .EXE don't delete anything when you integrated with nlite, nLite will automatic list all the drivers from that package, you need to choose the correct driver for your hardware. Hope that helps
  8. Remove RichVideo Folder (after extracted), edit Custom.ini search for RichVideo=1 (change it to 0) repack
  9. you also need to apply the reg file (from the installation folder) after registered. Try that
  10. To Add/Remove applications from SVCPACK. just remove/add the Application.exe in SVCPACK folder and also remove/add Application.exe in SVCPACK.INI (SVCPACK.IN_)
