Your test system is VM machine or real? I try to use BM tool on VMWare machine, and very often it behave not same way then real, it sometimes don't do things, that in real machine works, for example symbol downloading etc.

BM, another 1 question: it is possible to increase a little the intensity of stripes? In Windows 7 it's more visible, imho.

How much perfomance is the drop? And if it can be disabled by registry without drop of perfomance, it must be do that way.

I think it will be good to implement this if it not difficult to do.

You should manually add them if you want to use it.

Thanks for last version! Stripes is good! But in Windows 7 when we move mouse to bottom right conor all opend windows becames transparent and we can see desktop through them and they are all with stripes too - effect of full transparent glass with reflection. It's possible to make this in Win8?

I run Windows 7 on my main workstation. It's not Aero Glass for Win8 that is the reason I don't run Windows 8 there. It's that Windows 8 is inferior to Windows 7 for everything I want to do. There are many features missing and degradations of the user experience that I'm not willing to accept. If I were to get a new system on which I could only get Windows 8, I can now (using BigMuscle's awesome software among other packages and tweaks) configure and augment Windows 8 to be almost as good as Windows 7. But it's just not all the way there, and offers nothing I wish to have - so why change? It's not an upgrade by any sense of the word. So I run Windows 8 et. al. on VMware virtual machines for development and testing and book writing, while keeping my workstation on Windows 7 for all its nice features. -Noel Sorry for offtop. I used Windows 7 a long time (at least 1,5 year). When Win8 comes out, i upgrade my Win7 to Win8. And in new system i can do all what i do in Win7. Most of time it better then in Win7. What about some sort of gui or options panel where we can change options in realtime? Thanks for additional license on changing CPU, it's right step. HDD+MB+CPU is most rare upgrade. Change version of program on site ) from 1.0 to 1.1. And maybe, make a changelog on the site or news?

Generating machine code is very simple procedure. It is based on your CPU vendor+model and HDD, if one of this component is changed, your machine code will change too. Other hardware change does not influence it. Yes, it could be more robust but it is not necessary for this small utility. Everyone gets at least two licenses to be used either on two computers or in case of CPU/HDD change. If only CPU is changed, I have no problem to block old license and provide a new one. However, as I already stated, don't forget that by donation you don't buy the licenses - it is only a gift for the donation (Aero Glass is not regular paid application) and to be fair to all donators, licenses count depends on amount of donation. You don't understand my problem. Aero Glass tool works perfect for me. Only one trouble - some time i use AGTweaker by Orelio, and it change my registry and now when i change active border color, inactive border color don't changes. Edit: Problem is solved. Thanks.

That depends how machine code is generated, it doesn't have to be generated using all components HDD/RAM/CPU/Motherboard. It could be just 2 elements. Eg like Motherboard+CPU .... if so u can swap HDD and RAM everyday . Big Muscle could clarify what Machine Code based on for that. Also once licence been activated on a copy of Windows it doesn't mean it checks it again of hardware is modified. again BigMuscle need to clarify this, dose it check machine code once when activation or every launch ? If you recieve black screen after reboot - you don't need to restore system. After it appears just wait 5-10 minutes, and windows load logon screen. I think this somehow linked with use of unsighned themes. But it may happens only on reboot or power off for shot time. If computer off for hours it always loads normally - it's riddle for me, but it's true. P.S. I really tired to explain this things allready.

It's need to wait 3-10 minutes and you will see logon screen. Read topic before wroting.

Ok, I have Never had the dreaded "Black Screen" issue with Aero Glass and I must admit I have been a skeptic of WU causing issues with Aero Glass like others have experienced, but I also have always had my updates disabled, so today I decided to run some tests, I enabled my updates and then Windows downloaded 32+ updates and then prompted me to reboot so it could install the new updates, when all updates were installed and Windows was attempting to reboot back to the desktop, Guess what I got the flashing "black screen" that would not allow me to get back to my desktop..Hmmmm what the heck is going on, So the only way out of this lock down was to do a Win8 reinstall, I am now thinking maybe there is something going on with Aero and WU, so I am doing some update tests and will report back when I get to the bottom of this..DP Just wait 5-7 minutes when you meet black screen at boot and windows loads normal.
