  1. Thanks ! (I already knew that) IN VBS can i use %CSIDL_MYDOCUMENTS% or %CSIDL_PERSONAL%? How ?an example it will be very useful and much appreciated!
  2. Is there a env. variable name for My Documents? (in XP)
  3. Please try english version and if it's working then i'll look into dutch version OK? And to be sure just copy this line into your batchfile and replce %cdrom% with your path (and the serial... ) start /wait %CDROM%\Nero-7.0.5.4_eng_no_yt.exe /qn /norestart SERIALNUM_USERVAL="xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx" NERO_SCOUT=FALSE C2FF8B816=0 C57D52359=0 CD773A6E2=0 C6035F00C=0 C53BEFA20=0 CCB9D5429=0 C7CE8D626=0 CED1EAF52=0 CE38B9E06=0 C82602EE0=0 C7DFFCC12=0 C72CC518F=0 CE72D824A=0
  4. Well then the only explanation that remains it's : your not using the english version (Nero-7.0.5.4_nld_no_yt.exe instead of Nero-7.0.5.4_eng_no_yt.exe)
  5. My Drivers are installing perfect the way I posted above But i remeber one time i've copy them only to $OEM$\$1\Drivers\001_INF and NOT ALL get instaled! And here is INTEL's INSTALLING METHOD FROM INTEL'S reademe.txt ************************************************************ * 8B. INSTALLING THE WINDOWS* XP INF FILES PRIOR TO * OS INSTALLATION ************************************************************ NOTE: The Windows* XP OEM Preload Kit distribution CD contains a setup directory with all the base operating system setup files and installation programs (WINNT.EXE and WINNT32.EXE). The name of the directory may vary depending on the distribution CD (e.g., \I386\). 1. Create the following directory structure under the <WINXP Setup Directory>: \$OEM$\$$\INF 2. Copy the Windows* XP INF files from <INF Extract Directory>\XP to the directory created in Step 1 above: <WINXP Setup Directory>\$OEM$\$$\INF 3. Create the following directory structure under the <WINXP Setup Directory>: \$OEM$\$1\drivers\IntelINF 4. Copy the Windows* XP INF files AND the catalog files (.CAT) from <INF Extract Directory>\XP to the directory created in Step 3 above: <WINXP Setup Directory>\$OEM$\$1\drivers\IntelINF 5. Either modify the default Windows* XP installation answer file, UNATTEND.TXT, located in <WINXP Setup Directory>, or create a customized answer file. The answer file must include the following information: [Unattended] OemPreinstall = Yes OemPnPDriversPath="drivers\IntelINF" A sample answer file for preloading the Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation utility files is available: <INF Extract Directory>\XP\INFAnswr.TXT If you are a computer manufacturer, refer to the Microsoft* Windows* XP Guide to Unattended Setup for more information about Windows* XP answer files and unattended installations. For more information about the \$OEM$ folder, refer to the Microsoft Windows* XP OEM Preinstallation Kit (OPK) User Guide. If you are not a manufacturer, refer to the Microsoft Windows* XP Deployment Guide. 6. Run "WINNT.EXE /u:<answer file name> /s:<WINXP Setup Directory>" to install Windows* XP. So... Also from readme.txt "10. Verifying Installation of the Software and Identifying the Software Version Number" ************************************************************ * 10. IDENTIFYING THE SOFTWARE VERSION NUMBER ************************************************************ The version numbers displayed by Device Manager for a given device may not be the same as the Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility version. The correct version number is shown at the top of this file. But if with your methods the drivers are installing ok then everything it's OK
  6. It was a CLEAN install? Did you at least delete ALL regs?
  7. Your method "only" remove Scout from windows Explorer!
  8. Did you check your drivers after install? INTEL says to copy them to $$\inf too Without this for me it doesn't work
  9. Looks OK Did you try it? As for Nero_Scout i don't think there is a command for the "msi" to not "install" Scout It looks like Scout it's not a component! Check "nsi.nrd.log.txt" file after install Nero in "path to your Temp folder "\nro.log\log folder The options for Scout are =0 or =FALSE as far as I can see (no pop-up after install)
  10. start /wait %CDROM%\Nero-7.0.5.4_eng_no_yt.exe /qn /norestart SERIALNUM_USERVAL="xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx" NERO_SCOUT=FALSE C2FF8B816=0 C57D52359=0 CD773A6E2=0 C6035F00C=0 C53BEFA20=0 CCB9D5429=0 C7CE8D626=0 CED1EAF52=0 CE38B9E06=0 C82602EE0=0 C7DFFCC12=0 C72CC518F=0 CE72D824A=0 This is my "Batchfile" as posted before! (%cdrom%=your path to Nero-7.0.5.4_eng_no_yt.exe )
  11. Use PowerArchiver to extract files (or winrar) and copy all to %cdrom%\$OEM$\$1\Drivers\001_INF and to %cdrom%\$OEM$\$$\inf
  12. I have already mentioned that I don't want to install the complete package, are there any switch I can use? Pawan There is no switch look here ! But you can use "VMware" to install the complete package
  13. Thanks Arabianhorse but like i suspected your version it's OLD Registering the .ax files works only for watch not for makeing divx file! SO....
  14. I'm sorry Muiz But like Shark007 says : Please try with a batchfile and let me know For me it's working and I don't think it's gonna work with "a REG ADD method" PS IT'S SERIALNUM_USERVAL="xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx" WITH THE QUOTES (") in the batchfile method FOR ME BATCHFILE METHOD (&VBS) IT'S (ARE) THE BEST ERRORFREE&CLEAN METHOD(S) (and i know that all of you are gonna jump all over me BUT I'LL STICK WITH IT ) FOR ALL PROGS I had nasty experiences with "REG ADD method" with many progs.
  15. Great idea! Why I've never thought of it before? PS Any idea of the name and location of the filters?
  16. For NERO_SCOUT i'll try to find the "UniqueID" B)
  17. Can you post a link? Thanks! PS LAST VERSION IT'S 6.1.1.0.0.154 released on Friday, February 17, 2006, 04:44:59!!!!! for DivXBundle.exe and Wednesday, February 01, 2006, 23:55:00 for DivXPlay.exe
  18. This is MY WAY (silent) start /wait C:\Nero-7.0.5.4_eng_no_yt.exe /qn /norestart SERIALNUM_USERVAL="xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx" NERO_SCOUT=FALSE C2FF8B816=0 C57D52359=0 CD773A6E2=0 C6035F00C=0 C53BEFA20=0 CCB9D5429=0 C7CE8D626=0 CED1EAF52=0 Here is the list with all "UniqueID" CB035464E NeroStartSmart CBCAFF604 NeroBurningRom C2FF8B816 NeroHome C57D52359 NeroVision CD773A6E2 NeroShowTime C6035F00C NeroRecode C53BEFA20 NeroMediaHome CCB9D5429 NeroBackItUp C7CE8D626 NeroCoverDesigner CED1EAF52 NeroPhotoSnap CFA3A3F7B NeroWaveEditor C716FE146 NeroSoundTrax CE38B9E06 NeroImageDrive C82602EE0 NeroCDDVDSpeed C7DFFCC12 NeroDriveSpeed C72CC518F NeroBurnRights CE72D824A NeroInfoTool CC5AB9CFD NeroFastCDDVDBurningPlugin
  19. I'm Thinking to buy a router but if ICS it's working.... I have to test all this first (soon)
  20. Thanks eyeball! But can i forward traffic destined for port 3389 to all 3 comps (for example 192.168.0.2 , 192.168.0.3 ,192.168.0.4)? or should i change the port for each comp's "Remote Desktop Connection" and forward every port (for example 192.168.0.2:3389 , 192.168.0.3:3390 , 192.168.0.4:3391)? Would this work for ICS too? (to change the port for "Remote Desktop Connection" for comps behind ICS?)
  21. Thanks RogueSpear but i'm not looking for an alternative solution to "Remote Desktop"! All i'm asking is What's the IP of a comp which is behind a router or a ICS (viewable from internet) I want to connect to a comp which is part of a small network (at home 3 comps) Remote Desktop Connection it's working OK when comps are direct connected to internet (without router or ICS)
