  1. How do you propose I benchmark the performace hits? It doesn't kill the game often, but it returns to desktop and not too many games like that. The popup message is too common. IIRC it's every hour which is just overkill. Otherwise I had zero problems with the 0.7 therefore I started to use it. Then next day popups everywhere. I would have no problems with it if it was 0.9 so I'd know it's close to final, but it's not I really can't stand 8's ugliness and you did a great job making dwm work as close to 7's did and it looks so gooood.
  2. It happened to me too. I was playing game at fullscreen and it kicked me back to desktop with this message and the game crashed, because it hates Alt+Tabbing so I had to get rid of it until bigmuscle removes it already. I can't test it like that.
  3. I'm interested in this as well. Would be nice to have that as an option.
  4. There is also Shadowless Window in Frames that has square corners in W8's theme. Otherwise I am not sure why it doesn't work.
  5. Windows & Caption Buttons>Aero>DWM Window>Frames>Window Bottom and Top. Same thing for Tool Window. At least thats how I think you can do it.
  6. Thanks I think I found it It uses some trick to add these w7-like glass lines. I'm willing to bet removing the sharp corners will do the trick Yeah that was it rounded corners are working now, but without the glass effect for now
  7. Hey there! I need some help if you do have time! I would like to know how u got the rounded corners? is it a data value or is it a theme "thing", ("thing" reffering as to editing the theme file.) It's matter of theme. The caption buttons are images. I exported them from 7's default theme and imported them into xXiNightXx's Win7forWin8 theme using latest beta of Windows Style Builder. I was actually surprised it was that easy. I have no idea how to make corners round though. There is still some squarish thingy that messes with it
  8. So has anyone figured out what you need to edit in WSB to make the corners actually round? Making caption buttons round was easy, but the corners are hidden somewhere I can't find how to add caption glow either. It's not present in W8.
  9. Aha. I'll tell him then. I'll play GTAIV EFLC now to test if there are no peformance hits.
  10. Does the RoundRectRadius work only with the default theme? It doesn't do anything. Oh it looks like there is still something filling it http://i.imgur.com/2lfsp6P.png BTW Good job this is so much better now. I really look forward to final release
  11. The guy who made W7 theme changed color of titlebar text in his theme when requested it so it's possible editing the theme and by text glow do you mean this? http://i.imgur.com/0Ug2D5r.png Title text being more readable?
  12. I use UxStyles personally I had only one problem with it when one of the updates broke it, but after that it's working really good altough I wish the author would release new version already
  13. Hey, could you tell me what theme you are using? Thank you! It's the Win7Theme that was discussed in the last pages http://xxinightxx.deviantart.com/art/Windows-7-Vs-REV-D-350491112
  14. Glad to see this resolved. Another thing that might not be importnant, but when I start the loader it makes everything very dark and then leaves black artifacts on start button image and tray bar. http://i.imgur.com/0Ug2D5r.png When I click the OK button everything is normal again, but I find it odd it does that.
  15. ColorizationColorInactive does nothing with SIB. I tried changing values, delete it, but SIB is still fully transparent, no blur and no color. http://i.imgur.com/BORMyLk.jpg Turning off SIB's built-in transparency for itself and taskbar does nothing, too.
  16. How exactly can I change the inactive window color? I tried messing with ColorizationColorInactive, but they are always black which looks ugly and StartIsBack loses its colorization. Nevermind some leftover registry entries but the SIB thing still applies. And yeah no more crashes on the 7 theme so far. Good job!
  17. The author of theme said it's possible to make rounded corners using shadows IIRC.
  18. Wow I didn't realize they removed these games. Thanks for restoring them
  19. It does this if you're using D3D. D2D makes it crash. Learn the thread please
  20. Did you try to hover over pinned icon so it shows the preview window? It closes the loader instantly.
  21. Thank you. I really like that theme and this makes it even better
  22. Works fine, but there is still crash while using 7 Aero and previewing windows. D2D - Crashes instantly D3D - Visual artifacts like mentioned before. debug.log.txt crash.log.txt
  23. I just used system restore point, uninstalled UxStyle, installed all the updates, installed UxStyle again and no problems so far. In 0.4? I haven't tried that actually. BRB Alright you're right there are some visual artifacts or it randomly crashes. It looks nice though. Happens in 0.3 as well.
  24. I never got any black screen with UxStyle when I uninstalled it, but some Windows updates can break it. Happened to me one time when a lot of updates were released. I apologize for offtopic BTW this looks lovely with this theme
  25. Well I tried it on my machine(not VMWare) now and the colors work, but in VMWare it was whiteish transparency with no color. No worries then.
