Generally, I'm excited (and pissed a bit ofc). There are a lot of stuff @BUILD which makes MS look better. Not sure if 8.1.2 start menu will mean StartIsBack++, StartIsBack-, or nothing at all, but we have to accept change. If you have ideas for my mad skills your feedback is welcome.

Sure you should. 1.5.2 has easily reproduceable 'bottom-left screen corner stops working' issue on Spring Update which was fixed in 1.6 beta 2. I'm not sure it's a 8.1.1 bug as is. They made screen corner logic fragile so any attempt to control screen corners outside (hide, disable) may break them. Maybe they break by themselves.

It seems taskbar not showing in Metro apps issue affects Start8 and Classic Shell as well. Please try to provide more info how to reproduce it, any scenario. Make sure you're running 1.6RC.

I need something reproduceable. I can't reproduce your issue. Please find a reproduceable scenario and don't forget to specify your taskbar settings, edge settings, non-default SIB settings.

Please explain what you mean by 'sometimes'. When you're trying to invoke it 20 times in a row? When you go to it from app? From desktop? What fixes it?

They're in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StartPage3 first. You can add items with command 'startscreen /pintostartmenu pathtofile'.

Sorry for the breakage! Please re-download. If you got explorer broken, run 'StartIsBackCfg /uninstall' from task manager. MrGRiM, that's the expected behavior. kenw232, currently in any RDP sessions shutdown options are removed.

StartIsBack +1.6 BETA 1 http://www.startisback.com/StartIsBackPlus_setupBETA.exe beta 0 changes I'm afraid there won't be many more changes as 1.6 deadline is soon. However, I'm open to suggestions what to do with Spring Update gifts and craps we've received. Also please test this version well. There were some DWM crashes on Spring Update related to immersive taskbar, so tell me if you confirm those.

There's a Windows policy 'Prevent users from customizing their Start screen' ('Prevent users from customizing their Start menu'). It affects both Start screen and start menu, though.

There is a bunch of minor issues on Windows 8.1 Update 1, they shall be sorted out before official release. I've been busy with my new job.

It's either skin issue or Aero Glass issue, since i don't see it on standard buttons without Aero Glass.
