I doubt that Microsoft cares about 3rd party software. It's our problem and not theirs that I use undocumented system functions.

I must admit that I don't see reason why it should not work in Explorer windows. If the window has a proper frame then this frame should be rendered as glass region.

I was talking in general. If message "DWM is incompatible" is displayed then DWM public symbols need to be downloaded (more info on my website and in MS documentation). On the other side, symbols for update 1 are normally uploaded as symbols for any other released software from Microsoft. The important thing is that MS releases symbols for released software only. Version 1.2.1 is totally the same as the debug version which I uploaded with GUI. It just has been recompiled as release build.

Aero Glass can be normally uninstalled from control panel. There is no magic in it.

But this is completely wrong. You can NEVER surely say that the mirror is 100% copy of what was leaked on Windows Update. Especially when the mirrored copy is often labeled with hacking group name. If it is against EULA that it is stolen and illegal. Unless Microsoft provides download link/copy purchase/etc. where it specifies that it is free, then it is not free. It is only your theory that the update is free. Since it has never been officially released by copyright holder then usage is illegal. blah, so running for 4 hours is guarantee of quality, stability and so on?

Automatic re-enabling of "Use glass color for inactive frames" may be caused by selecting the same color as currently set for glass color. In such case, it will be reset to default. Opacity slider is really broken.

If active window is fully opaque and transparency remains on inactive windows, it means that colorization settings are invalid. Especially, alpha value is fully opaque which is not set automatically by control panel. This can happen only when you modify settings on your own or by 3rd software and it is not in our power to provide any help in such situation.

This should not happen unless you change your HDD or CPU. First of all, it would be good to detect the exact cause of the problem. There seems to be some reason that your HDD serial number has changed between each Windows versions which is extremely unlikely. It might be driver error or bug in my application which needs to be fixed. Without this analysis, it could happen that it may be accidentally fixed and new key will stop working for you again. Then provide me its output (rather via PM to keep your info in private) and specify which is your Win8/8.1 HDD/SSD (where your system was/is installed to).
