  1. I have a little problem with my unattended setup. I use a EXE to play MP3 Files during GUI Setup, beginning at T32. But if then XP Setup reboots (T0) there is A BSOD, if i use a configuration with the damned Soundmax-driver. I must switch off and on the computer and and the istallation is still running with GUI RunOnce If i cancel the MP3 playing EXE, no error. So i thought : if it is possible to close the program just a little moment before XP reboots, i got no error and i have FULL unattended setup. (Without pressing the power button) Is it possible to run a AUTOIT Script to close the playing file ? But its only with Soundmax Audio Chips, no problem at Realtek AC97 or HDA Devices. I also tried out Media Player Classic at T12, same Problem BSOD at Reboot.
  2. Normally it shoud work with BCDW 2.01 look this FAQ: http://www.wolfgang-brinkmann.de
  3. I have a problem with my unattended CD. I have in my OEMPnPDriverPath Motorola and Smartlink Driver, because i have varios configurations of notebooks and desktops. But if i install a machine with smartlink modem, it installs motorola drivers. Is it possible, that they have same PnPIDs ? Can i edit the inf file and delete some PnP IDs ? I have tried it, but now on a machine with motorola modem NOP driver is installed. What can i do.....????
  4. Yeah, Problem solved.... I run: devcon remove *hdaudio* and devcon rescan and the Realtek drivers are installed....now i must test, if it works also with CMI.
  5. At the momemt i run a little animation film during setup, started with detachedprograms in winnt.sif. But i habe no sound in this phase of setup. At T12 i play some MP3 files, runs fine, but is it possible to have sound at t32 or earlier ?
  6. No solution for my problem.... 888111 slipstreamed, Sound at T12 and at GUIRunOnce. The Realtek Audio Manager anfd the MS Mixer symbol are ready. Then, if i make a reboot. i lost this 2 symbols. Then i can use devicemanager to change the driver manually (from MS to Realtek),reboot - have Sound.
  7. ...oh,oh,oh,oh.....i am a fool....today i looked for a solution and i found: The realtek drivers was on cd, but not in OEM PnP driver path....now i will add it and try again on Monday morning..... (at my Notebook installation) But its interesting: At my desktop test PC, the driver (CMI+CMI control paneel) were added and installed with unattended install. But when i reboot, no CMI driver is activ, but the MS driver.( Normally no problem, but the record function is disabled, if MS drivers are activated) But if i then change the driver back to CMI and reboot - the CMI driver is still activ !
  8. I had also problems with Me AND 98 at a DVD. But i have used cdimage to "optimize". I believe Cdimage has a problem with the files of the 2 systems. If i make a bootable DVD without "optimizing", it runs fine together on one disk.
  9. Im going crazy... i slipstreamed the 88811 and i also tried to run Realtek Setup -s in GUI Runonce. I hear sound. But after next reboot -no sound. I think this must be a problem of the device drivers - MS drivers. If i look in the INF-folder, there is the oem4.inf (MS -hdaudio.inf) Normally it should be the realtek.inf file - Its a integrated HDA device on a FSC Amilo notebook. At my test-desktop computers the HDA devices (Realtek or CMI Azalia) are installed very fine - but if i use the same boot/install DVD with this notebook i have this problems. After unattended install the Realtek HDA device is installed and when i make a reboot - no sound, no mixer symbol...
  10. ...very interesting. I thought i had a solution, started the 888111 at T12 (cmdlines.txt). -I had sound at the installation process (play a mp3 with mp-classic) and at the first reboot (GUI RunOnce). The soundchip is installed as MS-device (Realtek 880/860). But if i make a second reboot - no sound, but the same MS HDA AudioDevice is installed. Then i can change manually to Realtek HDA - i have Sound.
  11. I have a little problem with MS HDA. After unattended install, the MS- drivers are being installed, but not the Realtek drivers. I can than change them manually, but not in the unattended installation. Whats gong wrong ? I use KB888111 with svcpack.inf...any ideas ?
  12. If you must change your Motherboard and you have no warranty on this board (and cant get a board of your manufacturer) you must activate your version, because the XP Versions are Bios bundled. Normally this is no problem, to activate a SLP Version like a normal Retail/OEM Version over internet or telephon. But some people have fear to do that...why???!!! But sometimes there is a solution...you can add/change a bios string to use your XP version without activation. At the monent this is possible with the most AWARD/AMI Bios versions. (I dont found a solution with Phoenix Versions.)
  13. I also use ms windiag and boot the image from bcdw. i think its possible. Windiag find the errors in the memory. I also think, that bcdw isnt active, when windiag is running, because if you exit the windiag memory test, the system reboots, there is no return to bcdw...
  14. Is there anywhere a "universal" driver for the nvidia notebook graphics ? Normally only the manufacturer of the notebook support "his" chip. But if i wanna create a universal install CD, i need to much nvidia go drivers. Is there a patched driver version luke the omega drivers (ATI) ?
  15. ..it doesnt run. Habe tried some configurations, load pictures from harddisk, dvd - no function. But now im play a little animation film on detached.cmd and mp3 files with cmdlines.txt .... "multimedia setup"....
  16. ...but if i start slideshow.hta after the installation it runs fine...
  17. I tried this, but it doesnt run. Have put some "pause" in the detached.cmd to see how it runs....no function, no error message...im going creazy... Have canceled deteched.cmd (STRG+C) and start the slideshow manually at the prompt...the same problem....
  18. Now i have tried it. But it doesnt run. It starts the second line after the driver install but.... The file (*.hta) is looking for a linked program (... Select a program from the list) and in the list i have only Notepad.....whats going wrong ?
  19. i allways use a program under detachdedprograms to install my compressed driver archiv. Is it possible to run a second cmd-file at this time or can i use the start /wait parameter to run the slideshow after the driver installation ?
  20. I think CDIMAGE needs more temp. space on disk. (more than the Iso -size) I also work with a Xin1 DVD (35GB without CDimage compression, Iso is 4,31GB), and use the parameters h n b o m inm cdimage-GUI, works great...
  21. I would add the BartPE Ramloader ( I hope you know what i mean) Edition to my BootDVD. But i have allready the BartXPE Version on this disk, so i thougt i add it as an Iso file. I have create an Iso from my bootable Ramloader CD and tested it with MS Virtual PC, runs fine. Then i add it to my bootable DVD, have edit bootcat.ini , then make the DVD-Iso with CDIMGEGUI and burned it. But when i boot from BCDW Menu the i have got the error: NTLDR not found Any ideas ? Other isos, like Memtest1.50 runs fine....
  22. i had the same Problem with the CMI HDA device. Now i use the normal driver installation - OEMPnPDriverPath in winnt.sif - and add the MS Patch in svcpack.inf - runs fine.
  23. @RogueSpear: I also make experiments since a few weeks with this method and i have no problems to run my 7zip files from DVD ! Tried it with some machines from Celeron 1300 up to a P4 3,4 and all runs fine. As PC Tech i must install every day some machines, so i can test the various configurations, Desktops and Notebooks. And no errors..... I have only one 7zip archiv that contains all my drivers an has a size of 254MB compressed. It decompress from T39-T37 and all runs fine. I also use the path D\.... and my winnt.sif OEMPnPFilesPath is exactly the same like the archive is expanded to disk. 24. Sorry, but i dont use the driverpack, have my own drivers(only for our selled machines)...but i will try your tip, because i believe my realtek drivers are not the newest. Another question to tip3: I haver heared something about the devcon utility, have it also downloaded, but how it works ? I have a so called ScaleoUpdatePack from FSC, which uses this utility. It scans all hardware on the machine and installs the newest drivers for it. But idont know how it works -there are no commandline parameters, it installs through a *exe file and a 7zip archive.
