the problem is probably coursed by Plus, when you install it , it installs adware with it, unless you unchecked the box in the installation dialog. you can use this program to try and remove it, but some people reported inability to remove it at all. use the program in the link in any case, you will probably find more adware on your computer

yep, its a great program , im using it a lot. very nice, simple, and might be quet usefull. highly recommended PS and it makes a nice noise while tracing w00t w00t

well, i dont have many options, i have a couple of clients, that are not willing to pay for SQL Server, and puting them on access wouldnt be apropriate, so i desided on mysql, besides, i hear its ok

i have never worked with mysql before, i usually work with SQL Server, sometimes for a small databases with access, but was thinking about mysql for a long time now, and today finally downloaded. i got a copy of mysql, a control center, and the connection drivers. i installed them all and they seem to be running pretty good. now there are my questions: first of all, how do i make the mysql services to run with windows, i mean on startup, or maybe its automatic already? second question is, can i import another databases to mysql, lets say if i have a couple of small access databases, is there a tool for that, i cant seem to find it in the control center. is there something similar to sql server stored procedures? and the final qiestion is what is this "option" thing i need to use in the connection string, and what it should be set to? phuuuuu...... i think thats all

PS dont forget that if you have built 0256 you need to edit the XML file not in the username@server.com folder, but in the new numbered folder

well, you can try and edit the XML file a bit more so this line "http://appdirectory.messenger.msn-int.com/AppDirectory/Directory.aspx?L=en-US" would say en-US at the end , like it says here, i use the version and the patch i got from the location i told you and it works fine. and btw i dont have any "Butter-cheese-and-eggs" w00t w00t

i installed RedHat 9.0 on one of the computers, and they have something similar to windows update now, it has the icon that checkes for updates, and besides that, it sends the notification to the email, so im getting notified by email about different critical updated almost every day !!! and people say they seek of windows update

i think you need to edit the XML file. i showed the path for it above. i believe you need to edit the line where it says '<ExpiresInDays>2</ExpiresInDays>', its on the top, and change 2 to i higher number ...

did Ad-Aware found anything? it might removed the the adware, but it will not restore your setting back to normal. i really dont know how to set it up, but can offer you a nice tool, witch was included in Windows 98 (i think) and later removed by microsoft, it allows you to search from address bar using any search engine you like (you set it up in setting) so if you type for example 'g cableghost' it will search google for cableghost
