we wanted to use Awstats, but i coudnt manage to install it on Windows server, it has Perl installed, but woudnt run, so we went for webalizer, and for WebTrends as i previosly said

nice list, actually we used webalizer for awhile, and now switching to WebTrends. but thats not what i mean, what i would like to see it the current amount of traffic on the server, like how many bandwidth it uses currently, may be there is a built in feature in Windows witch i dont know about...

you probably should run Ad-Aware first, nekkid gave you the link in you previus post, sounds like it might solve a lot of problems for you

i had lite-on once, and it held up for almost a year, and then burbed out... so, dont think im will be going anywhere near lite-on in the future

im not sure what services depend on it, but definetly nothing important, and it has nothing to do with Windows Updates, so basicly it stops the really anoying adds

thanx XPertes, i knew that you are the right man to ask about it , what i want to do is to put a piece of software on the server itself, and to see its traffic. if i could see where this traffic is coming from my server it would be nice too, but just to see the amount of traffic is my major concern

ok, i have problem with some of my servers lately, now im sure the problem is with the hosting company, but this time they clame they are not involved, of course i dont believe them, cause lately they have "network problems" every week, but just in case desided to check the traffic on those particular servers. anyone can reccomend a simple, not resource demanding, network monitoring software?

do you actually have Messenger service enaibled on XP? i never had any adds from the messenger on XP. having lots of them on the servers thought, cause im to lazy to turn it off

ok, here it is, download this program, install it, this will find all the adware on you computer an remove it link btw, if you running Kazaa, and not Kazza Lite, this program can screw it, so just install Kazaa Lite (if at all)

you probably installed some kind of adware by accident.... you should run AdAware, ill get you the link

hi welcome to MSFN you can access remote database either thhough IP address, or if the computer on your network, just throught computer name. if you give me a little more details, i probably will be able to help you more. but in general use the connection string just as if you were connecting to you local computer, and replace the computer name with either IP or different computer name

the answer is here read the posts, you probably need to install Windows Installer 2, and then MSN 6 will install. Check the last post by AaronXP, he gives the link to Windows Installer
