  1. Take a look at the Win32_OperatingSystem class for your VBS. Or use the shutdown.exe, as already suggested, in a batch file.
  2. @mgsoftsys Since you're new here I'm going to show leniency. Start by reading our Forum Rules, the link is at the top of each page. Consider your title, the style of your post, the obscenely large text in the now removed, bump post you posted less than 2½ hours after the first. Then read our information, we have the Unattended Guide also linked at the top of each page, a customisation forum group, an nLite forum group and this forum group, which should keep you busy for some time. We will not be providing you with snapshot/video tutorials, the information is here, you just need to search, digest, try and continue, usually in a seemingly unending loop, until you are fully satisfied. You ask questions about specifics along the way, not about everything in detail all at once for your personal satisfaction.
  3. Unfortunately none of my three Windows Browsers are in the list: KMLite TheWorld SRWare Iron My usual three Linux Browsers, none of which get a mention are: Epiphany Galeon Konqueror
  4. Okay, so let me try to get this straight; you have downloaded a file from elsewhere, made by a non-MSFN member, (RingoSound), which works with an off-site integrator (RVMi 1.5.1+) tool and which carries this address for the website. With all of that in mind you decided to post here for help! My question therefore is, What help have you seeked or had from the above sources?
  5. Look them all up and decide which combination you wish to use based upon what you've learbned. Once you've decided let us know your OS type and version etc. and we may be able to advise you 'conflict wise'. As I've already said only you can decide!
  6. Topic Closed for Rule Breach.
  7. That is an error, just replaceUSERS\S-1-5-21-1482476501-602162358-682003330-500 with CURRENT_USER
  8. Personally, my favourite archive app is PeaZip, but for splitting and joining tasks FFSJ is good.
  9. That's quite a major change, will it affect all non-members following links from associated off-site pages of on-site forums and off-site projects, current search engines results etc.
  10. I have a tendency to remain logged out of any account unless I have a requirement which can only be fulfilled by logging in. Therefore I was wondering if the following is permanent or temporary: Thank you for your response.
  11. Whilst this is a relatively easy task to perform in [batch file | command line] I think you should change tack with your task. Once you change the auto-naming sequence and in time remove files etc. even the numbering serves little purpose. I'd suggest thinking about, simply taking every .jpg in foldername and renaming them all sequentially, (say 001.jpg - 999.jpg). This would also rule out any possibility of overwriting files ending with the same three digits too.
  12. Thanks for this! I've tried it on Vista (x86) but unfortunately it fails:
  13. Spybot was often ignored in favour of Ad-aware, however I'm reliably informed that the tables have now turned.

    KB955839

So is it wrong that the details state 2008? and/or is it wrong that an update not relevant to my locale is being pushed at me as important? I know the install will not kill me, but that's not really the point. BTW Whilst I'm busy rejecting updates, has anyone here ever found MRT to actually do anything?
  15. Please will you post your HFSLIP Topics in its dedicated forum in future. This is the third such occasion I've had to do this for you!

    KB955839

If I read the details it explains that the update will allow my PC to do something 'last year' So is it now obsolete?
  17. Yes there are many products you can use, nobody can decide which products will be better for you, it is up to you to try them and make that decision yourself. Most effective, resource hunger, user friendliness, GUI, support, regular updates, speed, configuration options are all subjective. If you wish to look at alternatives to what has been offered you could try: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Spybot - Search & Destroy Avira Antivir
  18. Sorry about the multiposts, obviously in this case it was necessary to try to highlight possible differences. In this case only IE7 viewed it incorrectly, as you can see it still shows the scroll bar, but the message frame still overspills the page frame! Unfortunatley I've failed to tie down how my post was rendered on the Forum incorrectly, possible it was a one off I don't know! The monitor in blue, is part of an inline advert which I must have allowed accidentally by not accepting a cookie, since I have IE ask for each one individually. I've got to say that using IE on these Forums appears to be a bad idea based on the above alone!

Using my usual Gecko based browser the posts above look like this: However using IE7 the Forum looks like this: Making the post from IE7, since the text editor appears to not be the problem: R3 - URLSearchHook: Yahoo! 23. Although I was aware of them, thanks for your additional input jaclaz. For me, the main reason I asked was because I haven't changed anything at all about the system I used. (Same Browser i.e. no updates etc., same Text Editor, same Forum Settings, same Manual Input i.e. everything is typed no use of buttons etc.). Possibly worrying may be that if pages are displayed differently in the main browsers, are Moderators fixing pages according to their own setup and possibly not helping other Members by that action.
  24. Please provide some pertinent information otherwise you're unlikely to receive any pertinent responses!
  25. Just a quick question, has there been some sort of update to the way that these things work? The reason I ask is that I created a 'code' post more than 10 lines long with some long lines included. The usual method, (that which I've always used), to deal with this type of content is to use CODEBOX tags as opposed to CODE. This prevents line wrap and message area overflow. However I've noticed recently that the individual message frame width has begun to extend beyond the page frame frame width when using this method of delivery. The idea should be that a horizontal scroll bar is added to the box which in turn prevents frame overspill and the line wrap I intended. A Moderator rightly stepped in to fix the problem caused by the unrequired overspill, which as a result makes the page more readable but not the content of the box. The odd thing is that when I previewed the latest related message prior to posting it, the scroll bars and frame widths were fine.
