Ok... if no errors came up in chkdsk, then I'd recommend converting the drive to NTFS. There's really no reason to stay with FAT32 if you're only using Windows. To perform the conversion, open a command Window (Start->Run->cmd->Ok) and type in the following command: convert %systemdrive% /FS:NTFS Once its converted your drive, you should reboot. Hopefully that will help solve some problems. You also never answered my question... are you playing Disney Games while this is happening?

[Question] - Win XP Slipstream + MBSA File List = Vulnerabilities ?
Zxian replied to Gridneo's topic in Windows XP
AFAIK, yes. I've only used them since 2.0.0 and 2.0.1 and I've never had problems installing updates with either. Just be sure to use Siginet's integrator to integrate the packs instead of nLite. nLite may work, but its unsupported, so if you run into troubles, you're up the creek without a paddle. -
Office2K3 SP2 slipstreamed - Keep Install Cache?
Zxian replied to Zxian's topic in Application Installs
@RogueSpear - I remember having this problem with SP1 as well. I'm guessing that at some point, we'll need the cache for an update in future. I've never really got a chance to test out the .CAB rebuilding method on a real computer. Every time that I run it in VMware, I never get the MSOCache folder. This problem is really starting to bug me... -
But shoot Obi and he blocks it with his lightsabre... It'd be hard to say whether or not Neo could like... manipulate the lightsabre though - kinda like he does with the bullets in the first movie, or Trinity's heart in the second (?) movie.

I was going to recommend converting the drive to NTFS, but only after he's checked to make sure that the drive has no errors on it. If it does, either the conversion will fail, and/or he runs the risk of loosing data. And yes, NTFS is better than FAT32 for Windows based systems.

Hehe... after an error in editing the poll, it's back again... Thanks MartinL.

I've actually seen this bug there for a good long while... it seems like it's one of those bugs that nobody's bothered to fix.

Great minds think alike... The way I do things (at least in the XP forum - this probably comes up more here than most other places), if a member posts links to illegal material, they will get a warning depending on the severity. If they break the rules more than once, it's game over (i.e. banned). Just a note about that last point of Tarun's. If you have a problem with the way that a topic was moderated, bring it up with the moderating team (by PM only - do not start a new post about it - that one will be closed and deleted as well). If there was an error in judgement, it will be amended. Edit - Just thought I'd add another thing about this site... it is watched by Microsoft. I know that xper has already been contacted by MS at one point or another regarding the content here at MSFN. Allowing illegal content would only bring trouble and possibly lead to the end of MSFN. In other words... no.

You ran chkdsk as well? It came back with no errors? Your post seems like you just did a spyware/virus scan.

[Question] - Win XP Slipstream + MBSA File List = Vulnerabilities ?

Have a look at RyanVM's packs. Use the integrator by Siginet to integrate the update packs. RyanVM hasn't made an update pack with December's updates, but everything up until November should be there. http://ryanvm.msfn.org -
http://www.msfn.org/board/lofiversion/index.php/t10552.html There have been several threads about this before... AFAIK, there's no way to silently activate any Adobe Products (without using AutoIt).

Microsoft Office 2003 Unattended Install
Zxian replied to hohner's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
You're not actually using the # key there, are you? If you want to use it properly, you'd have to use %systemdrive%. -
As for slightly intollerant and annoyed... yes it happens to me sometimes, but like you said, it's usually for a reason (most often that the topic in question has been hammered to death). For the most part, people here understand that others have different views and tastes in software. Just look at the friendly, constructive debates/discussions that DigeratiPrime, atomizer, and I have had regarding Firefox vs Opera. None of the three of us (at least that I can remember) have ever "flamed" the others for their viewpoints. All of the threads have been very constructive and positive, which is what I really like about this place. Try doing that on another particular forum - *cough*Neocrap*cough* - and you'd have your head ripped off before you know it. It's amazing the number of threads that have been closed over there because of flaming and ranting... BTW, that's e-paper right? I'm just bugging you. A really well thought-out post.

Me three.... I'm probably going to be dual booting XP and Suse in the spring, since Suse would make my computer science courses a lot easier... (we SSH into the servers and use X11 windows remotely... something that's sorta a pain with Windows).

Just to spend time with my girlfriend and family. A 60GB black 5G iPod would be nice as well...

You mean have sub-forums for errors, help, questions, etc? I've already heard from a couple of members that it's difficult to find the right forum to post in, so I think that several sub-forums would only add to the confusion. Maybe if there was a special sub-section that people wanted (similar to the suggested Overclocking forum under the Hardware Hangout), then we could probably make that happen. The point of the tags is to give people an idea of what type of post they're going to be looking at, even before reading the content.

This is a question about Unattended Installs... so it should go in the Unattended section. Moved to correct forum.

A google search raised my eyebrows... both of these are Disney Games, are they not? Go to Trend Micro's Housecall and scan your computer for viruses. Do this in Safe Mode with Networking. Also, download and install the big three of anti-spyware: Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, and Microsoft Anti-Spyware Beta. Install all of the programs and update them. Then boot into Safe Mode and run their scanners, one at a time. Let us know how things go after that. EDIT - Wait a sec... I was all wrong. STOP 0x00000023 refers to FAT_FILE_SYSTEM. - SourceRun chkdsk /r to check your drive for errors and fix any that may exist on the drive...

i think i have it right but its not working....
Zxian replied to wyntrblue's topic in Application Installs
As keytotime said, your switches for Adobe are wrong. I'd suggest getting RyanVM's version, which needs no switches, and has been tested time and time again. Switches are dependant on the installer that you're using. It could also be that the switches for Thunderbird are not correct for the version that you're using. Check through the application switches thread and use the search engine to find the proper switches that you need. Just FYI, anything that uses an .msi file to install, you can always find the switches very easily by running msiexec /? in a command window. You'll get all the generic switches there. Some installers have extra switches that you'll have to look up though. -
Recommendations for...? What is this software supposed to do exactly? Your original question isn't very clear.

Are you burning the ISO's to CDs, or just mounting them with Daemon Tools or similar? -
Like the title says... I'm talking about characters here... not the actors that played them (I know... Keanu wasn't much to write home about in Matrix II and III).
