  1. Before was an onboard SiS chipset 650/961 After Radeon 9200 (works great) I found the problems with sims and yes it is becuase it is a 95/98 game. But there is a patch that helped. It also did not like my onboard sound drivers. So I put the soundcard from the old computer in it and it works well enough, still has hicup's in the sound from time to time but certianly playable. Thanks for the help
  2. Temp 01: 32 C Temp 02: 46 C HDO: 22 C Temp 01: 21 C These are the temp after about 15 minutes testing
  3. I have not checked the temps yet. But I have some good news anyway, I decided to put a different video card in to see what would happen. I tested Alice and it worked. YEAH! So I tested Lilo & Sticth, It did not work (bummer!) So, I uninstalled the game a reinstalled it. as it reinstalled I noticed that it failed to copy one file. So I copied the file from the disk to the computer and it worked. YEAH! Two down one to go. I am still having problems with Sim Theme Park. It goes much further now and there is no blue screen but there is a lot of drag and then it will close the program. Going to check the temps now.
  4. as of right now just locking up or shuting down, I updates all the drivers. how do I check the temps while a game is running?
  5. one is disney, & two are EA game. Converted to NTFS, But the programs are still locking up I found somthing in the Microstar FAQ about games restarting the computer. they suggest upgrading to the: SiS video driver vresion 6.13.10.2079 But, the one I have now is 6.14.10.3611 is the one I have newer and The only driver I can find with the is: Aopen SIS driver 6.13.10.2079 W9X/me
  6. Yes I ran chkdsk. no errors were reported
  7. No luck, I scaned scanned and scanned. there was alittle spyware but removing it changed nothing.
  8. Ok, I reinstalled all drivers, I downloaded from the Microstar web site. made sure thaey were all right I think i might have had the wrong IDE controller. I then tested the game and got the blue screen again. But this time the ALCXWDM.SYS is not there this is what I have now IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Technical inforomation: ***STOP: 0X00000023 (0X00000023, 0X000000FF, 0X00000001, 0X804DFD16) Sorry, somehow I overlooked this post I'll try it uninstalled the audio device and did not get the blue screen but the program locked up and closed with this error code AppName: lilopc.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.1 ModName: d3dim700.dll ModVer: 5.3.2600.2180 Offset: 0000afe1 just tryed another game and it let me start the game this time but then the program locked up (no blue screen) this is the error code: AppName: alice.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.0 ModName: alice.exe ModVer: 1.0.0.0 Offset: 0002549f I must have the wrong audio driver but it looks like something else is wrong

  12. it is a 400 watt power supply. and the blue screen will fash but only for a split second and then the computer will reboot
  13. I really thought I did. I see you changed the question to help but I did not know if my question fell under that tag. Sorry.
  14. I have a problem I can't figure out. I have a Microtel computer P4 with 224mb ram running XP Pro It crashes everytime I try to load some games with cd required to play. lite games like starcaft & hoyle work with out crahing. But Alice, sims theme park, and lilo & stictch (i'm setting this up for my daughter) flash the blue screen for a split second and then completely restart the computer. I was running wind 98 when this started and thought that an upgared my help to no avail. I upgraded to directX 9, Reinstalled drivers thinking it may be the Cd- rom, even change out the drive, and reinstalled firm ware for the drive. upgraded graphics drivers and sound drivers nothing is working. I scaned for virsuses and found nothing When I got the computer second hand I reinstalled windows to clean out all the unwanted stuff and started reinstalling drivers. So I think it might be a driver problem, but it was working after I finished instlling all the apps. and then today it just stopped working any idea what could be cuasing this?
