  1. PerfectDisk uses an MSI file. All it needs is the /QB switch.
  2. kerio-pf-4.0.0-en-b7-win.exe /s /v"/qn REBOOT=Suppress" Note the quotation marks
  3. I wasn't aware there was an Enterprise Version of Office, none on display at this page: http://www.microsoft.com/office/howtobuy/choosing.asp The Office XP Professional CD you have probably already has an administrative point created. (you will know if you did not need to input your Org Name and Serial during a normal Office XP Setup). Your best bet is to start on the slipstream process and hope it works out (copying the contents of your CD to the Office XP directory specified in the guide beforehand)
  4. It looks like it doesn't list the security updates, just the bug fixes (which are only available by calling MS support)
  5. He's never around, but I'll wish him a Happy Birthday anyway
  6. The only screensaver I've seen at the Microsoft Windows XP Downloads section was the 3D Screensaver. Are you mistaking Bliss for the XP Wallpaper?

    NEWSFLASH

rofl, the more further down I read, the more silly it got!
  8. I don't know why you want to put a beta application on your XP CD :/ but I'll check anyway.
  9. Did you install the french version of SP1? Installing the English version on a french OS probably mucked something up.
  10. Having checked the Spelling Preferences in Word, there doesn't appear to be an option to auto-correct misspelled words as you type, Word often makes the wrong suggestion so if it did autocorrect them all the whole document might not make any sense at all. I've noticed there is an Auto-Correct option Under Tools, that will correct the most common misspelled words from a custom list, but won't do what you requested though (not near enough!)
  11. You'll need 15 posts to change it One more to go!
  12. Universal Plug and Play Device Host SSDP Discovery Service Registry keys are in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\
  13. A website has released the exploit code and its been said that a mass internet threat is imminent this weekend, which could make Code Red/Slammer look like child's play if nobody patches their systems.
  14. You can, but to run the 2nd CD you will have to have an exact drive letter and path your CD-ROM in your batch file on the Windows XP CD. (This can be a problem if you decide to use your custom CD on someone else's PC that may have different drive letters) e.g. instead of %systemroot%\install\Applications, you will have to use X:\Applications\ (X:\ being the CD-ROM Drive)
  15. Kevin Spacey is a brilliant actor (While I haven't seen the film yet, I assume its gonna be a great film anyway)
  16. Either the FTP site you're trying to access is offline, or you're using the wrong port.
  17. Maybe you should ask him again what virus it was, otherwise he wouldn't know he got a virus or not.
  18. Can you be more clear and specific in your post? Did you mean MSN Messenger or MSN Explorer? Is Hotmail his preferred web-mail account? Hotmail is probably offline for server maintenance?
  19. The Unattended Windows XP CD site (as well as Windows XP German and Windows Server 2003) has been updated with a theme switcher. It's not much but should prove useful for those who may find it difficult to read white on black.
  20. Because of the way you type perhaps?
  21. While I was browsing today, came across an app called OpenPorts: It shows the files using the ports, so it may be of some help to you http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=3950
  22. Thanks for the tip, will add them on the site
  23. Yeah, I had the same problem in Windows Server 2003 where the Netgear FA311 card wasn't installed by Windows Setup, and psshutdown failed to function. EDIT: Just got an email from SysInternals, and they say that a NIC is required for PsShutdown to function. If you don't have a NIC, or are unable to get the drivers installed during Windows Setup, then you're out of luck I'm afraid :/
  24. You are able to extract the downloaded SB Live drivers, Use the radeon driver installation example at http://www.MSFN.org/unattended/xp/drivers.htm, if that doesn't work, then create a setup.iss file for a silent installation during batch: http://www.MSFN.org/unattended/xp/applicat...stallshield.htm
  25. are your Network Card drivers installed?
