  1. I think Outlook stores everything in a PST file, which you can find at C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst
  2. Use UnattendSwitch="Yes" in your winnt.sif file to bypass the Welcome to Windows XP screens. Welcome to MSFN
  3. If the Setup program doesn't ask for the Serial, and it asks when you start the program instead, then this information cannot be put into the setup.iss file.
  4. The current leaked version is 4029, which is a couple of months old, so there's no doubt Longhorn has progressed many builds higher since then. M stands for Milestone.
  5. If only I was a millionaire, I would get the Grand Canyon model
  6. what filename are you trying to run the switch on?
  7. best way to test quicker is to remove the stuff thats working perfectly, and do it in vmware/virtual PC so you don't have to waste dvd-r discs.
  8. It works for SP1, so I wouldn't suggest using this on a copy without SP1.
  9. Are you going above 1024x768 or 1152x864? Going above anything higher than the 2 mentioned is probably not best on a 17" CRT.
  10. I assume this is a command line app that will set a video resolution, color and refresh rate? That'll be good for those who are having trouble with [Display] not taking any effect in winnt.sif
  11. Love the web design b0r3d, great work.
  12. I've never really liked Mozilla or Mozilla Firebird, no autoscroll function for the scrollwheel and no option to save tabs on exit. I know I could use plugins, but some of the ones I've used have been well dodgy. Mozilla/Firebird also handle links quite badly, especially from IRC or an email client which forces the link to open in a new window rather than a tab. I just use the MyIE2 extension for the IE browser and I'm perfectly happy with it really Mozilla really need to eliminate those loading times for Firebird and Thunderbird, as I have found very little difference in loading times when I switched from my AMD 1.2 to a P4 3.0GHz, and its still a nuisance to wait for it to load.
  13. He doesn't mention what OS he's using, and System Restore is non-existant in NT4/2000/2003
  14. junale - don't confuse text-mode setup with GUI-mode setup. Text Mode Setup is the area where files are copied to the hard drive. (blue screen, black text) Cmdlines only runs in GUI-mode setup.
  15. Outlook Express is already included in Windows Server 2003...
  16. It was "MSFN" he covered up, and re-uploaded his screenshot. Um... what's the point?
  17. This is a recommended update? Only critical updates on this list Either I turned a blind eye, or these 2 hotfixes decided to show itself on WU. Either way I don't know, but when running a hotfix batch (not slipstreamed) via svcpack without the cat files, these 2 updates on WU left me baffled. So I ran WU on my virgin install of Windows XP on another Virtual PC image I had and the two updates I missed out were there.
  18. Ok, but I don't know what you want us to check for this time?
  19. I'm going to email the Ahead team to try and get this issue resolved, Nero really does terminate a batch if there is another batch following the current one. (as I have tested a couple of times)
  20. Aaron

    xp upgrade

access denied? OK, start up normally and get to the task manager and go to File > New Task and type cmd.exe Browse to your XP CD in command prompt and extract explorer.ex_ and copy it to your windows directory, then restart. I'd recommend doing a full clean install though.
  21. Did a bit of research on google. It appears the max size you can set is 4096, which is 4.096 MB (or 4.1MB to round it off). You won't need to adjust this value unless you start getting corrupted icons.
  22. Looks like his title already answers that rik
  23. Marztabator, if nobody has replied, it means nobody knows or is willing to experiment with the icon cache settings.
  24. Not a band, but I sure would like to see DJ Tiesto or Paul Van Dyk spin a live set
  25. yes, definitely .txt as RyanVM said
