how to save time when testing the unattended iso?
army20 replied to victor888's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
@victor888: Solution for you: By example; If you are using Virtual PC, You have to make a virtual hard drive. This Virtual HD is a file on your system. Name it "TESTXP.VHD" I don't have it installed on my pc at this moment so the file extension is not .VHD THIS IS JUST AN EXEMPLE. Instaed of burning the .ISO just leave it on your C:\ and mount it from Virtual PC. When Installing WinXp, Stop the virtual machine after the last reboot. So at that point ur runonce.cmd did not run yet. Backup ur TESTXP.VHD virtual harddrive to TESTXP-Original.VHD Now reload ur virtual machine and let it go till the end. Make all the test you want. -------------- When ur ready to test new setting in your runonce.cmd, just do a new .iso Copy ur TESTXP-Original.VHD to TESTXP.VHD reload ur virtual machine, it should start at the last reboot of the installation of wondows. Did I lost you ¿¿¿¿¿¿ -M -

Try This .Reg File ! 1 --> Click the .reg file twice and accept the warning to import the setting. 2 --> Logout and come back or just kill ur explorer and reload it using taskman. Hope this was what u was looking for. If You really really want a command to do it tell me. But I warn you in advence you'll need to put an .exe in ur system to do that. NOTE: This file has been made for WinXP SP2. -M Best_Performence.zip -

Hi everyone ! What i'm looking to do is a bit hard for me to explain. When you click "start" and then "run" you get a dialog box where you can put command to execute. By example if I want to start Netmeeting I just have to write "conf" and press enter, If I write "mstsc" It's gonna start Remote desktop connection (I guess mstsc stand for Microsoft Terminal Server Client) BUT conf.exe is located in C:\Program Files\NetMeeting mstsc.exe is in C:\WINDOWS\system32 notepad.exe is in C:\WINDOWS So my question is : Is there any list or mapping or file table or command that I can edit to ADD a program shortcut to the run dialog. I.e D:\Appz\Army20\Army20program.exe will be only "Army20program" in the run dialog. Thanks -M

While I was surfing on the web I've visited a website who gave me a error (generated by apache server) saying that the user/owner of this web page had exceded the bandwidth limit allowed for his site. My question is how can I set a bandwidth limit for a virtual host and or for the whole server ¿¿? I'm not looking to set the realtime bandwidth percent for the internet connection BUT i'm looking for something I can call "quotas for website" i.e. www.army20.com = 200 Mo / Month i.e. how-to.army20.com = 10 Mo / Month I've tryed searching on apache.org for that fonctionality but I've didin't found nothing. -M

"Adjust for best performance" through command line
army20 replied to StormLogiX's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
@StormLogiX: My best solution to ur question will be to make a registry snapshot when the option is at "ajust for best performence" and then compare the change when the option is at "adjust for best performence". Then make your self a .reg file. -
iPod U2 special edition is so NICE ! I've been searching for the black edition like shown on the box for soooo long. Now I've found it ! I'm not a U2 fan and i'm disapointed about the laser autograph in the back. Black iPod Front and Back -M
