Hi everyone. I'm interested using SecureId in my home network. I've had trouble 2 times with people putting hardware Key loggers into my computer to retrieve my passwords. I've been contacted twice by an agent from RSA but after asking me a few question, he's not giving me good information because he know that his commission will be low on this sale. Can it be used on a single computer without a server? Does anyone know an other hardware solution for 3way authentication? -M Bill & RSA !

If you Use EFS, There's a way to backup your Key to decrypt data BEFORE you format ur windows client. You can go thru Internet Explorer, Tool, Options, Content, certificates, and then export. After formating your client, just import the certificat using the same method. WATCH OUT ! ATTENTION ! CAUTION ! :: After importing the certificat, it will allow you to decrypt only the previously encrypted data, IF YOU EDIT PREVIOUSLY ENCRYPTED DATE WITH YOUR NEW WINDOWS... IT WILL RÉ-ENCRYPT FROM A NEW CERTIFICAT.

You can Use PGP 8. It has a fonction called PGP Disk that allow you to create a virtual encrypted partion. The positive point is that u can chose to encrypt from a PGP Key or from a username/password. You will not loose ur date if u format your windows client.

To answer ur first question : When The Windows Security Center Show up at startup, look on the left of the windows there is a "resources" menu. Click on "Change The Way Security Center alerts me". Uncheck every cases. NOTE: You can always access Windows Security Center by doing Start --> Run --> wscui.cpl or truh the control pannel.
