Hi,
I've read a few posts that MCE can be made into one disk by combining disc2 onto disc1. Ive looked at both discs, and it seems the only difference on cd2 is the "CMPNENTS\MEDIACTR" folder.
Now, I have a legal copy of MCE2005, as well as a licensed XP-PRO. I've created the XP-PRO DVD already, with all my custom features.
Would copying that single CMPNENTS\MEDIACTR folder onto my XP-Pro folder (XPCD) install media center? or do i have to copy other files too?
I'd hate to have to rebuild my entire u-dvd from scratch...

i dont know if this applies to you, but whenever i test my U-CD in VMWare, I have this problem. However, in a Real-World test, it works fine. One of the weird things with VMWare.

i use DVD-RW's all the time, without any problems.

This happened to me with 9 and with 10 which I currently have installed. It's not symantec, its the stupid microsoft security center. Not saying symantec antivirus isn't without its bugs
. Security Center also causes a delay on startup.I never had this problem with 9. Only with 10. That's why I'm confused.

Be careful. I installed 10 to test it. By default it sets a startup scan which when you start windows it takes over 100mb of memory and 100% cpu...
Is this true? Anyone else have this?

it only works for .wab files, and apparently, only if they are the same user name as the one logged on (ex: Administrator.wab)

i know, but will outlook express recognize a "csv" file in that folder, and have the addresses in the add book?

the file i have in "%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book\" is "Administrator.wab"...
so i can't copy a ".csv" file there, right? I'd have to save it as a ".wab"?

If I save my address book from OE (xxx.csv), is there a way to unattendedly import it?
now i have to open OE, File -> Import -> Other address book, and select the file, etc.

i'm confused.
i thought i could simply install FFDshow, and MPC and i'll be able to watch (not encode) all types of movies [besides qt and real, which i install the alt versions too]????
