Can anyone make another "SilentNero6600.zip", like in the first post, but to replace EVERYTHING except the Burning ROM? (Smallest possible installation - no extra crap. Just all burning options, no covers, media, and other crap.)

bit of a stupid question, but how do you download a file from windows update without installing it (for XPCD purposes)? -

Umm... Could you make that screen resolution dependent, too? I install 30 applications in 1024 resolution, and everything shows fine (nothing is cut off)... maybe after 35 or so call another one? Although the whole idea or more than one "Windows Update" box defeats the purpose: We want to see where we are on the total list of things to be installed... -
How to copy specific file from unattended DVD
a06lp replied to Wyverns's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
XCOPY "%cdrom%\software\totalcmd\wincmd.key" "%systemdrive%\totalcmd\" /Y should work. -
Did you ever figure what was wrong? I have had the same problem. No matter what I've tried, TimeZone never gets set as Eastern Time (US&Canada). Yes, I figured it out. If you do a ProvideDefaults, it will NOT work. If you do a FullUnattended it WILL. I think it has something to do with which lines are used for which type of install (?)

after testing the new version, i like it. anyway, the solution to my problem is to log off, then log back on. thats when it will install. -

i have a q: when i used to use WPI 2.6 (first post in this thread), i could run WPI.hta on my regular system and test out certain installations. when i would click INSTALL, they would install immediatly. why, now that i use your v2.7 (first one you made...not the one with dividers), when i run wpi.hta, and click install, it doesnt install the programs until the next reboot???? what's wrong? -
truth is, i don't even use roxio. i only have it in my unattended because D&D can't do *everything*....no bootable CDs, no dvd-maker, etc. whats so good about nero anyway?

so i could, theoretically, have a "program", with ONLY the paramet of cat, and that would act as a divider? -

might i make a suggestion? instead of having to add a category to each program's code, why not make a stand-alone kind of code, that you just insert where you want a divider? For example: [CATEGORYTITLE='Codes & Stuff'] prog[pn]=['Codec Pack 1.3'] desc[pn]=['swgreed\'s Codecs. A collection of codecs for playing DivX movies. <BR>Includes everything you need to watch DivX movies.'] regb[pn]=['',''] cmd1[pn]=['systemdrive','install\\Applications\\codecs\\codecs21.cmd'] cmd2[pn]=['',''] cmd3[pn]=['',''] rega[pn]=['',''] dflt[pn]=['yes'] forc[pn]=['false'] pn++ prog[pn]=['Flash 7.0.19.0 & Shockwave 10.1.0.11'] desc[pn]=['Installs Macromedia Flash 7.0.19.0 and Shockwave 10.1.0.11'] regb[pn]=['',''] cmd1[pn]=['systemdrive','install\\Applications\\mm\\mm_fl_sw.exe /s'] cmd2[pn]=['',''] cmd3[pn]=['',''] rega[pn]=['',''] dflt[pn]=['yes'] forc[pn]=['false'] pn++ [CATEGORYTITLE='Applications'] prog[pn]=['Microsoft Office Professional 2003'] desc[pn]=['Installs Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, & Microsoft Publisher.'] regb[pn]=['',''] cmd1[pn]=['systemdrive','install\\Applications\\office2003\\setup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb-'] cmd2[pn]=['',''] cmd3[pn]=['',''] rega[pn]=['',''] dflt[pn]=['no'] forc[pn]=['false'] where "CATEGORYTITLE" is the new feature. if you want to make it really good, allow for HTML formatting in the actual title... -

hmm... did some searching, i thought maybe it was a driver problem, but: Guess not... but then i found this: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su...gngdgmm.0&ct=SB seems to be the same useless microsoft solution...

ok, you just said a lot of stuff i did not understand: Are you sure this is OK for me to install even though I don't have a sony? I have, like i said before, a TOSHIBA SATELLITE 2455-S305 what is it? how do i check it? what should it be? Not that i know of... Yes, Roxio 6. But i always had both. the only difference is that i installed them, this time, using SILENT switches, but why would that change anything? what's that? no nlite for me. hardcore do-it-yourself. is that free? is TUNEUP UTILITIES 2004 better? that's what i use for regcleaning now... whats the best regcleaner? EDIT: I downloaded the two top firmware updates (not the region one), and neither would install because it says i have the wrong computer model. It's because i dont have a VIAO...

Hotfixes For Windows XP Professional SP2
a06lp replied to Aaron's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003

a06lp replied to bishooman's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
nemesis' idea aint too bad either. maybe have an option "selectable" which can be set to "no", and then there is no checkbox. then, for that prog, we can write anything in HTML to use as a divider type of thing. also, could you please number your releases, so we can easily differentiate? thanks. -
I have a TOSHIBA SATELLITE 2455-S305 I dont know what to do? should i install these updates? they are NOT on toshiba's website. are these things that have to be installed with every format/re-installation of XP? or is this a one-time update? also, i dont understand it. i have been using D&D for the longest time, i simply installed it the same way, following my clean install of my XPCD. what could be so different that isn't working and causing this problem?
-
guess i'm alone on this problem?
